Chapter eight

Taking a ride from Eric was the last thing she needed, she has not told him they're related knowing Eric he will be thrilled, just didn't want to deal with the truth. She could not wait to go home, she hated hospital reminded her of her mother going through chemotherapy and her Mother's death.

Jakes's father said "you don't look good."

Jakes said "just want to take a bath and have a good rest."

Jakes's father said "what is going on son."

Jakes said "Laura was in hospital, she had a panic attack."

Jakes's father said "is she fine now?"

Jakes said "the doctor said she will be, I don't think so."

Jakes's father said "the doctor knows better."

Jakes said "she acts so tough and she is so stubborn, I want to help but she does not want my help."

Jakes's father said "I don't know what to say."

Jakes said "I will figure out what to do."

Laura's relationship with her father was not a healthy one and good one.

Laura���s father said "you were at the hospital, didn't bother to call your father."

Laura said "didn't cross, my mind."

Laura's father said "I was worried about you."

Laura said "I am fine just need to rest please."

Laura's father said "Okay, get well soon."

Eric worried about Laura and his mother not wanting to her about it.

"What happened?" Eric's Father said

"Laura had a panic attack, she will be fine." Eric said

"She can't catch a break." Eric's Father said

"She is surrounded with negative energy." Eric's Mother said

"What are you on about?" Eric said

"People like her, just one thing after another." Eric's Mother said

"That's not a nice thing to say" Eric's Father said

"I'm just being honest here." Eric's Mother said

"Mother stop." Eric said

"Can we talk about something else than discussing John's Black daughter?" Eric's Father said

"Why don't you ever talk about him, Mr John Black?" Eric said

"I keep telling you there's nothing there but you won't stop." Eric's Father

"Just feel you're hiding something." Eric said

" Enough, just go pray for your friend to be well and stop bothering your father." Eric's Mother said

"Thank you honey." Eric's Father said

"You do know how your scandal can ruin us, the church, you should have put a stop to this brother and sister relationship they have." Eric's Mother said

"They're close and nothing I can do now. "Eric's Father said

College

Emily said "I heard Jakes went to the hospital to check on Laura yesterday."

Parker said "I really don't know what is wrong with him."

Becky said "he is in love with her, saying that makes me sick to my stomach."

Parker said "he will have to choose her or us."

Emily said "us of course."

Becky said "I would not be sure about that."

Parker said" all the trouble he went through to be popular, his reputation let all that go for a girl he must be out of his mind."

Becky said "I think it's sweet."

Emily said" just shut up Becky".

Parker said "will it be still sweet when you don't get Jakes dollars, gifts and partying at his place."

Well, jakes was a rich boy spending money to have friends can't even say friends. People to hang around with.

Laura was back to college after having a panic attack. No rest for the wicked well for those who want to keep moving and not deal with their problems at home.

Jakes said "why did you come, should you not be resting?"

Laura said "Mr Jackson wants me to always get 100 % all my modules so I'm here."

Jakes said "if he sees you here probably sent you back home."

Laura said "it would be a waste, waking up in the morning catching a bus to get here."

Jakes said "how are you feeling?"

Laura said "better, thank you."

Jakes said "I'm glad to hear that I was worried you know."

Laura said "I saw that yesterday, you didn't think I was going to die did you?"

Jakes said "don't talk about dying."

Laura said "sorry, was just kidding."

Jakes said "fine, how about you tell me why you had a panic attack? "

Laura said "I don't want to talk about it."

Jakes said "that's the reason you ended up in the hospital, refusing to talk about whatever is bothering you."

Eric also wanted to know how Laura was doing

Eric said "hey, there how are you feeling?"

Laura said "good, just want things to go back to normal, everyone staring at me."

Eric said "just surprise you are here, you scared everyone especially jakes your boyfriend."

Laura said "not my boyfriend."

Eric said "even the doctor thought he was."

Laura said "that doctor is crazy."

Eric said "well, I'm glad you look better, take it easy."

Laura having lunch with Jakes.

Laura said "you are having green leaves."

Jakes said "salad, eating healthy and you are eating unhealthy."

Laura said "I'm not a vegetarian, so I do enjoy my meat and all this in my plate."

Jakes said "you are cool, interesting so why don't you have friends."

Laura said "I don't need them."

Jakes said "really, come on just be honest here with me."

Laura said "I had them didn't stay in touch, to have friends you have to be friendly, I wasn't I didn't have time for them and I was caught up in my messy life."

Jakes said "it was better to be alone than hangout with people who don't get you."

Laura said "Yes, Dr Phil. For a smart guy like you why do you hang out with punks? "

Jakes said "I'm smart, thanks for the compliment."

Laura said "it was not a compliment, just stating what I see you act dumb but you're smart."

Jakes said "for once, there I thought you were starting to like me, and she smiles…., such a beautiful smile."

Laura said "whatever" * she laughs*

Jakes said "I hang out with them because I wanted to fit in, I was label just a rich boy not even man."

Laura said "so, it is better to be a bad boy being a player know for breaking girl's heart than just being a plain boring rich boy."

Jakes said "boring not me."

Laura said" I was just saying."

Jakes said "how about with hang out on weekends just to prove I'm not boring."

Laura said "what would our afternoon look like?"

Jakes said "I think you would enjoy simple things, eat ice cream, hang out at the park, and watch Netflix action movies definitely not romantic comedy."

Laura said "Action movies, romantic comedy and hanging out at the park eating ice cream not me I'm not teenager."

Jakes said "what I'm dead, why romantic comedy?"

Laura said "why not?"

Jakes said "for someone who does not believe in love."

Laura said "I didn't say that, besides you don't have to believe in love to watch such movies."

Jakes said "if you say so."

Laura said "I do and we are late by 30 minutes to attend the WIL class."

Jakes said "not even writing anything about it, the lecture just tell us how to prepare for the job interviews, dress formally and be punctual, an hour of listening to this."

Laura said "it will be helpful when you get to the working world, you don't have to worry about that your father has many companies. "

Jakes said "you see why I don't like being a rich boy, can't say something without someone saying "you don't get it you're rich your father is a billionaire. ""

Laura said "you are privileged and maybe you don't get it, so when you complain about dumb stuff come across as ignorant and spoiled."

Jakes said "thank you for your honesty."

Laura said "you are welcome" * she laughs*

Jakes said "we should do this, laugh and have fun."

Laura said "why not?"

Jakes said "alright better get back there."

She was trying to forget about her life and drama at home, Jakes was making her laugh and she needed that does not change anything just friends nothing more.
