As Dora streaked through the sky like a lightning bolt, Riku's eyes narrowed, and he swiftly moved sideways to evade Dora's attack.
Dora's punch missed, but the sheer force behind it created a powerful gust of wind that sent shockwaves rippling through the air, leaving Riku feeling slightly numb.
If that punch had landed, it would have turned him into a cloud of blood mist.
"Roar--!" Even though his punch had struck empty air, Dora fixed his gaze on Riku, who had dodged to the side, and roared. To everyone's astonishment, Dora's legs seemed to defy gravity as he stepped on thin air and lunged toward Riku once more.
This extraordinary feat shattered the boundaries of what was physically possible, and even the great scientist Newton might have risen from his grave in shock had he witnessed it.
"Dang----!" At this critical moment, Riku summoned his elemental energy and conjured a protective shield. As Dora closed in, his punch struck the energy barrier with explosive force, sending Riku hurtling backward.
However, Riku's energy was resilient enough to withstand Dora's devastating blow.
"Human, I don't think you can hold out much longer!" Dora's ferocious expression remained fixed on Riku as he once again propelled himself through the air, determined to tear his enemy apart.
Dealing with an opponent who had transcended the limits of physical abilities was a daunting task. Dora's incredible speed and power made him nearly impossible to touch, and even a single strike would be fatal to Riku.
But for the Flügel species, this was nothing they couldn't handle. Their mastery of magic allowed them to rain down endless attacks on their foes.
Although Riku was capable of this as well, he had to carefully control his output in order to acquire the coveted fruit.
"This guy is finished!"
"Even though I don't understand why a human would possess such incredible strength, he'll still fall to our Beasts' BloodBreak!"
"Captain Dora is one of our strongest warriors. Killing him won't be a problem!"
Watching Riku's desperate dodges and defenses, the remaining Beasts below grew increasingly confident. Their tusks were bared, and their cruel expressions revealed their sinister anticipation.
"Never mind that. Let's use this." Ignoring the taunts from the Beasts below, Riku focused on the task at hand. As he maintained his energy shield, dodged Dora's attacks, and defended himself, he once again conjured elemental energy. This time, it formed a bow and an unusual spiral sword—a projected Caladbolg, a formidable weapon he had preserved.
Riku then placed the demonic spiral sword on the bowstring and drew it taut.
"Ha ha, do you really think you can hit me with that thing? How naive!" Dora's voice resounded with arrogance as he unleashed another powerful punch against Riku's energy shield.
"Kaka--!" With a resounding crack, Riku's energy shield finally showed signs of weakening, causing Dora to grin with triumph. He believed that with one more strike, he could shatter Riku's defense.
But before Dora could deliver that final blow, a purple light suddenly enveloped Riku, and his figure disappeared from Dora's sight.
"Where is he? This isn't good!" Dora's pupils contracted as his keen instincts alerted him to a presence behind him.
"Swish--!" Before Dora could react, Riku released the spiral sword without hesitation.
At such close range, Caladbolg's power was undeniable. Regardless of how strong Dora's defenses were, they were rendered useless as he was pierced by Riku's projected spiral sword. Blood sprayed into the air as Dora's life force rapidly drained away.
"Ga--!" In excruciating pain, Dora stared in disbelief at the gaping wound in his chest, feeling his vitality slipping away.
"Damn!" With his last reserves of strength, Dora swung his claw angrily behind him.
However, Riku had vanished again and reappeared calmly behind Dora, effortlessly evading the attack.
"Space movement... You possess this ability too... Did you... Puff..." With a weak, miserable smile, Dora managed to utter a few words before coughing up blood and succumbing to his injuries.
He had never imagined that a human could outwit and defeat him so thoroughly.
"Do you truly believe I've been dodging and defending in vain?" Riku gazed down at the lifeless Dora, his voice indifferent. Everything had been calculated meticulously. Even Dora, the fearsome captain of the Beasts, had been no match for Riku's cunning strategy.
Subsequently, Riku activated his Hermes Boots, darting to Dora's side before the body hit the ground. He swiftly retrieved the backpack strapped to Dora's side and stowed it in his storage space.
"Captain Dora!" The Beasts below, still in shock, watched in disbelief as their formidable leader had fallen.
Their captain, a powerful WereBeast who had wielded the incredible BloodBreak technique, had been defeated and slain by a human.
"Despicable human! You'll pay for this!" Overwhelmed by hatred and anger, the remaining four Beasts roared furiously. They used their extraordinary physical abilities to ascend into the sky, driven by their determination to avenge their fallen comrade.
However, without the aid of BloodBreak to transcend their physical limitations, their actions amounted to nothing more than suicide. They were essentially offering themselves as easy targets, but their fury blinded them to the reality of the situation.
