Through the walls of an old warehouse and into the warehouse, Xavier was tied to a chair with his mouth duct taped. He was sleeping with his head dangling in the air. Two men started walking closer to him; one was holding a glass of water in his hand.
"He has been sleeping since yesterday," one of them said, halting staring at Xavier.
"I guess it's because of the alcohol." The other replied and splashed the water on Xavier’s face. Xavier opened his eyes and started panting. He wanted to cough, but the duct tape was preventing him from coughing.
"You are finally awake," one of them said, standing in front of him. Xavier stared at his sneakers and raised his head a little to look at him. He wanted to speak, but his mouth was stuck.
"Do you have something to say? You should have said so." One of them said, and grabbed Xavier’s face and removed the duct tape from his mouth.
"Ouch!" Xavier screamed, his lips feeling sticky.
"W…Who are you? And where am I?" Xavier asked, scanning the warehouse with his eyes. The place was filled with boxes and barrels. The only empty spot was where they were standing.
"Hahaha, he wants to know who we are?" one of them said, laughing.
"What’s so funny? Who are you want do you want from me? Money?" Xavier asked confidently. They chuckled and looked at each other.
"We don’t want money, we want something else," One of them replied, and they turned their backs on him, talking about how they were going to handle the situation.
"What are you guys talking about? Untie me!" Xavier declared, swaying in the chair, but they ignored him. He pursed his lips and started shaking continuously on the chair. He was trying to break free, but they made sure he couldn’t move his hand. The rope was strong and it was going to squash his hand if he continued moving. He started moving, trying to fall to the floor, making noises with his mouth.
"Stop trying to escape; it’s no use; this warehouse is surrounded by my men." A man said, walking in their direction. He was wearing a black coat with a face cap. Xavier stopped moving and looked at him.
"Who are you?" he asked.
"You fools, what are you talking about? Go back to your poses. I will handle things here," the man said. The men looked at him terrified and bowed their heads with respect.
"Okay, boss." They chorused and sauntered away in a hurry.
"W…who are you show yourself!" Xavier yelled, with his eyebrows slightly raised.
"Keep your voice down. You are under my custody. You have no right to talk back to me," he said, with his head held high. Xavier gulped, blinking his eyes. He was curious to know the man behind the cap and why he was abducted.
The man held his cap and smirked before taking off his cap. Xavier’s eyes widened as he realized it was Lucas.
"Remember me?" Lucas inquired, smiling at him.
"W-Why have you abducted me?" Xavier inquired. Then, Lucas grabbed a wooden chair that was close to the boxes and sat in front of him with a serious face.
"I don’t know if you know the answer, but I am gonna tell you." Lucas said with a mischievous grin. Xavier scrunched his face. He was wondering why Amber’s manager would want to abduct him. Maybe because he insulted him the other day. He thought.

"Uhm, Boss, I, uh, wanted to ask you something," Diana said to the man sitting at his desk in front of her, he was her boss, he was a man in his late forties, Diana was the star detective of the station and she had a lot of responsibility in the station more than the other detectives.
"What do you want now, Miss Diana? Don’t tell me you are still avoiding training a new intern." he said. She pursed her lips into a line. She hadn’t been so nervous about saying something in her life before.
"It’s not that..." she said.
"Then what?" he asked, with his eyes wide open. He rested his hand on his desk with his gaze fixed on her, ready to listen to her.
"I want you to grant me a leave for a few hours, a friend of mine, was kidnapped yesterday and I couldn’t save him." she said. He blinked his eyes with his hands clasped together and turned his gaze to the monitor screen in front of him.
"How many hours do you want?" he asked bluntly. She gripped her suit.
"I don’t know how long I will be gone, but I promise I won’t take long, I will report back to work and take care of my responsibilities." She said and saluted.
"Hmm, okay, you may leave. How is the case coming along?" He inquired.
"It’s going fine. I almost solved the mystery. I will visit his relatives tomorrow for questioning." She replied and bowed slightly.
"I will leave now." She said and made her way out of his office and shut the door. She sighed deeply and shoved her hand in her suit pocket, walking down the hallway back to the security room. She spotted her partner heading her way with a piece of paper in his hand. He spotted her and lifted the paper in the air.
"We found it!" He exclaimed. She shoved her hand into her pocket and took out a rifle, loading it with bullets.
"Tell me the address; I am not gonna spare whoever abducted him." She said that after giving him a death stare, he frowned and took the rifle from her.
"Calm down. We are just going to save him from the kidnappers, not to start a war. You are getting possessive of your man," he teased.
"He is not my man, he is just a friend," she protested.
"I know, I know, let’s go." He said and spun her around, and put his hand on her shoulder as they both started walking away. He put the rifle in his back pocket.
