Encounter

"Who the hell is that dude?" Mason muttered, narrowing his eyes at them.

Melvin stopped his car. Amber stepped out of the car, smiling at him.

"When next you are planning to see me, don't forget to beep me." Melvin said.

"I will do that." She assured. And he drove off. Amber stood watching him go.

"He is really a tremendous perfumer." She muttered to herself, with admiration in her eyes.

She was about to walk inside when Mason stood in front of her.

"You can't avoid me. Don't be a stranger." He muttered.

"What's the meaning of this? Aren't you ready to give up?" Amber inquired.

"That's such a dumb thing to say. How can I give up on you? You are my angel." Mason said moving his hand up her face, she held his hand in the air.

"Don't touch me. You have got some guts to come here when you know my brother is around." Amber stated.

"Your bro is a guy like me, so he can't scare me. I want you to give me a chance to prove how much I love you. I promise I will ensure that you go back to the university." Mason said.

"Hmm, if that's your only plan to get me, forget it and go and have fun with Elsa. She wants you." Amber said rudely.

"She wants me, but I want you." He said, staring into her eyes.

"I don't want you. Go away," Amber declared.

"Are you sure you want me to go away?" He inquired.

"Yea." She replied flatly.

"Then what's this?" Mason inquired, and she realized she was still holding his hand the whole time. Her face reddened. She awkwardly let go of his hand.

"I wanted to ask, who was that guy that dropped you off a few minutes ago?" Mason inquired, stroking his chin.

"You are in no position to ask me that, so butt out." She nudged him aside, walking towards the door, and he held her hand.

"Listen to me. Can you be my girlfriend for at least a month?" He inquired.

She was feeling a spark in their hands, and she hated the feeling. She tugged at her hand and turned to look at him. Gazing into his green eyes.

"What if I don't wanna? What will you gain by making me your girlfriend?" Amber ranted.

Daniel was moving the couch from it's original spot.

"Can you pitch in for a bit?" Daniel inquired, staring at Bella.

"Yeah, sure." She said and gave him a helping hand in transporting the couch to the other end of the room.

"Why are we doing this?" Bella inquired as they let go of the couch. He smirked and moved closer to her.

"Amber's birthday is coming up. I know she is a sadist these days, ever since the university stuff. I am trying my best to be a good brother. I just want to do the best thing for her." Daniel said.

"I am glad you are trying your best. She is actually a cheerful girl, and she is trying her best to embrace the situation." Bella assured.
