Distressed

Amber was distressed and tense. She knew her mom wasn't the one that she could argue with. She was having a rush of emotions and was lost in her own world of rage and pain.

She strolled to the door, grabbed the doorknob, and opened it. Her mother made her way into the room without uttering a word. She pulled her little glass table to the middle of the room and dropped the dish there.

"Amber," Mrs. Darlington called out to her in a hushed tone. She wanted to talk further, but Amber buried her head on the pillow, not ready to listen to her.

Mrs. Darlington gave a big sigh and walked out of the room, shutting the door.

Amber got the pillow on her head turned facing the ceiling, allowing the hot tears to flow down her face. Although she promised herself not to cry again, she was just too soft and pure-hearted for this world. Followed by her anxiety came the growling sound of her stomach.

She sat up on the bed, and rushed to the table. She clasped the dish, put it on the floor, and sat on the flooring, devouring the food like a beast.

Daniel and Bella arrived in front of her room. Bella touched Daniels' gorgeous face, staring into his brown eyes.

She sighed, "I would like to tell you to give Amber some time. She will come around. She is the one encompassed the most." Bella muttered, looking at his face that was filled with sadness.

"Alright." He said weakly and sauntered away, leaving her hand hanging in the air.

She put down her hand and entered the room.

Amber heard the sound of the door closing and quickly got up with the plate.

"I will take it to the kitchen." She murmured without stealing a glance at Bella.

"I just wanted to..." Bella couldn't complete her speech. When Amber slammed the door.

Bella sat on the soft bed. She knew the result of Daniel's action wouldn't be good, but she couldn't do anything to stop him because Daniel was always a blockhead when it came to matters of his family.

The sound of Amber's melodious ringing tone brought her out of her trance.

She traced the sounds to under the duvet and took it out and stared at the caller. It was "My better half," so she guessed it was Xavier, but didn't bother to pick up the call so as not to invade Amber's privacy.

Amber walked into the room with water dripping from her hands as she cleaned it on her silky dress.

"Give me that!" Amber said rudely and snatched her phone from her.

"Hello." Amber muttered as she made her way out of the room.

"I was missing the hell out of you. I called to ask if we could go on our date." He said in a happy tone.

Amber took a look around the house. "We can." She mumbled.

"Wow, that's incredible news. I am on my way to pick you up." He beamed and hung up.
