Nindō 0028: Third Mark

'Unbelievable …' Naruto thought, hugging his wife tightly as she slept in his arms, resting her face on his shoulder. Illuminated by the midnight moon that shone through the window of the otherwise dark room, they were sitting on the couch in their bedroom, both completely naked with Hinata sitting in Naruto's lap with her legs wrapped around him.

[This really is an interesting turn of events. I thought that these brands would manifest on the skin like a normal seal and nowhere else, but this truly is surprising.]

Naruto nodded when he heard Kurama's words, continuing to trail his fingers along Hinata's spine and gently combing her hair, [I miss her long hair …]

[Then you shouldn't have let your wife agree to that girl's offer.]

[Sakura.] Naruto told him, [And give me a break, I liked Hinata with these bangs back then. I want to see her with long hair now. It's been eons for fuck's sake.]

[Back to the important topic. Why do you think the mark appeared on her heart?] The fox asked the question that was on his mind.

[I don't know, Kurama. I only have some basic information about this mark. I can accurately feel her presence and pinpoint her location as I can with Sarada and Karin. And I can talk to her telepathically if I want. For now, these are the only things that I have confirmed when it comes to the mark. Along with some extra enhancements that manifest differently on everyone.]

[Sarada's eyes got better after the mutation. That Uzumaki girl's healing ability got enhanced to the point that she can use it multiple times a day and the marks are no longer permanent. What about your wife?]

Naruto had already sent a clone to check up on Karin the previous day and although he didn't give her any information about the Dominion Mark — not that the clone knew anything about it to tell her. Beyond the mark being a seal that Naruto put on her — The clone did help her experiment with her ability to check out the enhancements that she received.

[The Uzumaki girl has a name, Karin. And who knows what initial benefits Hinata would get? Beyond her heart being enhanced and the things that come with that, I can't see what might have happened. Maybe she can last longer in bed with me.]

[Why wouldn't it appear on her Byakugan? You told me before that there was a low chance of it manifesting as a mutation, but some enhancements should be there.]

A little smile appeared on Naruto's face as he glanced at Hinata's peacefully sleeping face. He was still inside her and she seemed to find that exceedingly comforting as she slept peacefully on top of him. He kissed her hair gently to not wake her up.

[Unlike Sarada, who wants to be the Hokage and a strong kunoichi, Hinata never wanted to be a ninja. You remember the night that she told me, right?]

[Yeah, she was just opening up to you about her … sexual preferences when she told you about that. I don't particularly remember what you talked about because I wasn't interested.]

[Yeah, haha. I asked her if it was okay to have you listen in on us. She blushed so cutely back then …]

[I don't care about your and your wife's freakish sex preferences, Naruto. It invokes nothing in me. On the other hand, the mark's appearance inside her heart is what interests me.]

Naruto smiled as he felt Hinata stirring in his arms. He continued rubbing her back and sent some of his chakra into her body to soothe her. It was easy to do with them still connected so intimately. He even used Yang Release to keep himself hard for longer so that Hinata wouldn't feel the change and get disturbed.

[I know. Where was I? Yes, Hinata never wanted to be a shinobi, but being the eldest child of the Patriarch of the Hyūga clan, she was forced by that fool Hiashi to become a shinobi. Even without wanting to, she was able to get good enough by relying on her talent. But she knew that the life of a shinobi wasn't for her. She, truly, from the bottom of her heart, is happy being a housewife and raising our kids.]

[Now you'll tell me that the reason is something along the lines of her love for you which caused your Mark to appear in the center of her heart?]

Naruto could understand the skepticism in Kurama's tone and didn't mind. He tilted his head with an 'I don't know' expression.

[I just told you about her motivations, Kurama. They might have something to do with the appearance of the Mark of Dominion or they might not. Either way, I feel the same connection with my wife now that I feel with Sarada and Karin and it makes me very happy. I'm going to celebrate with another round of hardcore sex once she wakes up. Maybe I'll do some experiments to check if sharing my chakra with her truly does affect her in some way like how it helped Sarada expand her chakra reserves.]

[I'm going to sleep, you can let me know what you find out about this enhancement later.]

The night mostly consisted of the same thing that the husband and wife had done for the rest of the day. Once Hinata recovered from the exhaustion of receiving the Mark of Dominion, they continued their blissful night by the end of which, Hinata was exhausted. Despite how much she loved every second of the sex she had with Naruto, her physical limitations held her back even if her mind was ready and desperate for even more. Unfortunately for her, Naruto was just a beast when it came to sexual stamina. Even with the initial enhancement to her sexual endurance after getting the mark, she was still unable to win against Naruto, who had the advantage of his blood that gave him immense vitality and made it impossible for Hinata to be conscious by the time he was done.

As the sun rose above the horizon, Naruto kissed his wife on her forehead and got out of bed, "I'm going to go get Himawari and Boruto from the Hyūga compound," He told her. She merely responded with a weak grunt and a wave of her arm which made him smile. He knew that she would be up and awake by the time he came back with the kids.

He reached the Hyūga compound an hour or so after sunrise. When he reached the Patriarch's home, he saw Hanabi and Himawari sitting on the lawn with their legs crossed as they meditated. Boruto was probably already out training with Sasuke and Sarada, so Naruto decided not to disturb Hiashi and presumably the man's wife and his mother-in-law who might still be inside the home. A secondary reason was that he wasn't interested in talking to Hiashi.

Approaching the lawn with silent steps, Naruto spoke, "Morning, girls."

Both Hanabi and Himawari opened their eyes abruptly and Naruto saw that his daughter's blue eyes had lost their color and were now pure white irises. Both of them looked at him with a furious look as veins popped out around their eyes.

[Naruto …]

Kurama's scared squeal made Naruto chuckle as he instantly reacted and grabbed both of their fists with his hands using his chakra to suppress their gentle fist chakra. Himawari seemed to be curbed but Hanabi went even further and attacked Naruto with a kick which he interrupted by flipping her around and throwing her on the ground. As for Himawari, her eyes normalized, turning back into their usual blue as she showed a remorseful expression.

"I'm sorry, Tou-chan …" She said pitifully.

"Come here," Naruto laughed before pulling her into a hug, making her press her face against his stomach. "You got stronger, huh? Tou-chan almost didn't block your surprise attack."

"What about me, brother-in-law?" Hanabi dusted herself off and fixed her yellow kimono shirt before looking at him, "Do you think I got stronger?"

Naruto gave her a look of disdain, "Maybe if you weren't holding my Hima back, she could've gotten a hit on me."

"You!" She stomped her foot. "I'm coming with Hima-chan to complain about you to Onee-chan."

"Be my guest," Naruto nodded uncaringly. "But hurry up, my daughter still has to get ready for the academy. Or you could just come by later if you still need to get ready."

Hanabi puffed her lips and looked away, "I just asked for some praise."

"After surprise attacking me and even encouraging my daughter's outburst, knowing that she doesn't have control over her dōjutsu yet. Don't try to play the victim," Naruto said dryly. "Now, are you coming or not?"

"Fine," She said. "I do miss the food that Onee-chan makes. I envy you for being able to eat it every day."

"Let's go, Hima," Naruto rested his palm on the girl's shoulder and they started walking, "You coming?" He turned to look at Hanabi who nodded and caught up. "Wasn't your mother the one who taught both you and Hinata how to cook? I remember eating at your place once and you made everyone delicious food. She should be the best of you both."

"That's not the case," Hanabi said with a grimace. "You never stay over at our place so you don't know but Onee-chan is a far better cook than my mother. And I don't really cook that often. Only when Hima and Boruto come over, right, Hima-chan?"

Himawari saw Hanabi bending forward a little to look at her despite Naruto walking in between both of them.

"Mm hm," She nodded. "Grandpa told me that Hanabi-nee-chan only cooks when we come over."

"Is that so? What about your grandma's food?" Naruto asked. "Do you prefer her food?" Naruto didn't react to the pinch that Hanabi delivered to his arm beyond a small smile.

"It's not that bad …" Himawari's tone was all the answer that Naruto needed, making him laugh.

He turned to Hanabi as he patted Himawari's head. "I guess you're right."

"You could've trusted my word," She pouted.

"What if you tell me this and I use it as a compliment for my Hinata only to have her tell me that her mother is the better cook, then what, huh?" Naruto built up an entire scenario. "It's better to confirm than to make my wife angry."

"Why?" Hanabi asked with a playful tone, "She refuses to play along with your fetishes?"

Naruto instantly shot her a narrow-eyed look, "I suggest you think before you say your next sentence."

Hanabi looked at Himawari and cowered from taking her dirty talk further. "Fine," She snorted before looking away angrily, "My bad …" She mumbled under her breath.
