Veil rode the airship from the airport in Aeria connected to the airports in Arnelia.
After reaching a city from the Arnelia towards the East, she then rode another airship to travel back to Shurana's city.
After a whole 3 days of travelling and resting along the way, she reached the city; it has expanded since she last saw it.
"Greetings Master Nerula, I am back from my mission. I believe I am now worthy to ask the Primordial of a question I have long been holding for myself." Veil bowed to Nerula in the middle of her lecture with her new students.
One of the students sent the new arrival a contemptuous look, thinking why she is barging in on their session.
"Why are you acting so close with our Instructor Nerula? Fight me first before disturbing our class!" The same student could not hold his patience before unsheathing two long swords from his waist.
Shing shing. Slash!
The male student a lot older than Veil crossed his swords and attacked Veil; the latter pointed her finger and completely stopped the converging swords.
"!!!"
Every single student present gaped in shock and awe due to the young girl, the process was as smooth as flowing water.
She is simply unbelievable!
If the young girl responded with her own swords, they would not have been as shocked; however, she chose to block two sharp swords with a single finger.
The attacking student's face instantly paled from shame and fear, his sweat dripped from his temples and crawling down to his back.
All the hairs on his body standing up from fear as his instincts scream for him to run this moment.
"Relax there; I was also Master Nerula's student." Veil smiled cheerfully.
She then gently pushed her finger forward and sent the boy crashing like a bullet.
Boom! Crack!!!
The marble wall in the training room showed web-like cracks after the boy's back hit.
"Feel free, the Primordial is training the troops back there in the barracks." Nerula shook her head and smiled bitterly from the developments.
Nerula could not help but pity her own student for acting so rashly, but she also could not blame him for his ignorance.
"Esteemed Primordial, I have returned. I wish to ask you a question." Veil lightly bowed to Darthoxis who is currently barking out commands to the new arrivals on his army.
"Hmm, you are back indeed. State it, I welcome any question." Darthoxis was visibly happy from Veil's return.
"Very well, I shall take that offer, then, I wish to challenge you into a duel!" The ears of the soldiers picked up the conversation; they all turned to look at the person challenging the previous God of War.
"Great! Great! Let's do it now, I have been itching in some challenge you see! Perfect timing!" Darthoxis clapped his chest with a fist excitedly while leading Veil to the simple arena his soldiers use for combat training.
Every soldier, some citizens and Nerula's students joined to watch the duel, after all, it is the Primordial himself participating in the duel, and if they would be able to see even a fraction of his power this time, they would learn a lot.
Veil and Darthoxis both stood valiantly on the arena, while Nerula promptly terraformed the arena to have spectator seats of varying heights to be able to see more of the battlefield.
Originally, the arena used by soldiers is only a flat area, the spectators could only sit on the floor or stand up for better view, but now, it acts similar to the Battle Arena, just a smaller version.
The seats are filled to the brim, excited cheers and whistles come from all sides.
Nerula then started the duel, as long as there are no lethal attacks, both the fighters are allowed to fight on their own scales.
The instant the battle started, Darthoxis did not even wait to finish half a breath to start his move.
Mana Expansion: Millennium Requiem!
Swords of varying lengths, sizes and visuals rained down on the arena, filling it similar to Darthoxis' throne room.
All the swords stabbed on the floor, lessening the maneuverability by foot.
Darthoxis immediately followed up by more skills, waving his hands, stomping both his feet and clapping his chest like a drum.
Primordial Skill: Battle Liberation!
Primordial Skill: Sword of the Embers!
Primordial Skill: Sword of the Abyss!
Primordial Skill: Sword of the Punisher!
Primordial Skill: Sword of the Pain!
Darthoxis' aura grew stronger and fiercer every second that passes, at this point, he is using not a fraction of his power, but instead, he is going all out.
4 of the swords stabbed on the ground were pulled out by Darthoxis' skills; they flew and started an attack to the unmoving young girl.
Mana Expansion: Eternity's Prismatic Awakening!
Previously, Veil's Mana Expansion is the Eternal Winter's Wake, utilizing the endless supply of ice mana from her sword.
But now that she has all the basic mana types and even 2 of special types, her domain skill has reached unknown levels.
A spectrum of colors enveloped the battlefield in form of a translucent barrier, the ground turned into a crystal-like material.
Skill: Eternal Rose's Bloom!
Veil now stabbed the new Rosalia on the crystal floor; blue roses rained down on the sky and intercepted the swords sent by Darthoxis.
The roses that fell on the ground then expanded and bloomed, eating up the swords previously filling the ground.
Due to this, Darthoxis' expression crumpled, he now looks serious and wary, and he must not take this battle lightly.
Mana Switch!
The colors of the mana flowing on the sword's handle visibly changed.
Skill: Lunarian Wave!
Skill: Wind of Solari!
The aquamarine sword on the young girl's hands then brightly shone with blue and red hue as she dashes towards the Primordial.
She is now making use of lunar and solar mana types simultaneously to produce a devastating attack.
She then lifted both of her hands over her head and tightened the grip on her sword.
Darthoxis responded with a skill of his own, he must not drag this battle and plans to finish with this final attack.
Primordial Skill: War Emperor's Strike!
He dashed to receive his lithe opponent, all the swords that are not yet covered by the blue roses all flew to his hands and became one single sword.
Swing! Slash!
Veil slashed in a large downward attack while Darthoxis intercepted with a horizontal sweep.
DANG!!!
The collision of the swords produced an extremely ear-piercing metallic clang.
After the dust settles, everyone on the spectator seats simultaneously stood up with their jaws hanging.
The result is totally unexpected: Darthoxis is kneeling down on the floor while breathing heavily, and his clothes are tattered after the last trade.
The young girl's face did not show any signs of exhaustion from that last attack, the difference in strength is absurd!
Darthoxis is not weakening or the like, the opponent is just that strong.
Veil stretched and offered a hand to help her opponent stand up.
Clap.
When Veil's hands met Darthoxis', she secretly transferred healing properties of her mana onto him, helping him recover.
She did not imagine the destructive capabilities of lunar and solar mana, especially when combined.
However, the most mind-blowing aspect is the qualitative explosion of the levels of her domain skill.
If she gathered the fragments and slowly augmented her sword step by step gradually, she would not have seen such an explosive result, but since she received all upgrades all at once, she herself could not measure her current level.
If she was to compare her current strength to her past one, she believes that she holds more potential now.
Her original abilities made use of dark type mana, which she used in the form of shadows.
She was also able to improve the attacks by applying the Divine Techniques.
Even if she does not wield the same Divine Techniques that she once used, she now controls 6 different mana types with their own advantages, and she has an endless supply of it.
Her growth during her previous life is more visible and gradual, requiring only Dark Soul Fragments to upgrade her abilities, and also, the fact that she could freely make new abilities on her mind.
She has more restrictions now, but through the endless flow of mana from her sword, she is theoretically growing towards infinity, beyond what the current existences, may it be Gods, could measure.
"You really surprised me this time, to think that you could grow this rapidly…" Darthoxis stood back up.
"You overpraise me Primordial. I just got lucky with my sword." Veil gently caressed the blade while smiling proudly.
"Why did you want to duel me again?" Darthoxis suddenly asked after watching the young girl sheathe her weapon.
"I want to know the truth on why you brought the Shuranians on our world… I do not believe it is only due to the scarcity of resources, I think there is something bigger." Veil fell into deep thought.
"You are right, I think that another war is brewing, the largest war that could befall Terra." Darthoxis dusted his arms and legs.
"What is the state of the other continents? Are they in preparations?" Veil inquired.
"Hmm. I already warned them, even if we do not have a general location on the target of the enemies, it is better to prepare the entire world."
"Our enemies this time is the Dark Clown's army, it was something I only hypothesized after losing to a soldier named Urziel."
"That Urziel is originally a normal human being, not even in the level of Adventurers, but after encountering the Dark Clown, he suddenly gotten more powerful than I am, therefore replacing me as the God of War." Darthoxis shared the details.
"The Dark Clown…" Veil's aura became cold as she remembered the enemy.
"Stay put for now, Nerula is making a network via her students before they set out into different parts of the world, that way, we could make gates connected to Shurana, enabling us to respond anywhere the enemy appears." Darthoxis looked up in the mana strands floating above the city.
These mana strands would later be expanded into gates and passageways that will be connected to different locations spread out into the 10 continents.
"Thank you for your time again, Esteemed Primordial. I shall investigate other cities before the war does happen." Veil gently bowed before leaving.
"Very well, I will keep preparing on my side." Darthoxis ripped off his top and left the arena.
