I don't know but since yesterday something is strange. I've got a feeling, something special yet unknown. It was periodically giving me goosebumps, in a good way. I reached 'home' which I called a big four-walled place with a roof. I called it so since I began to speak, a family I didn't know, was all I needed. I don't remember my dad's laugh and love, nor even I had any siblings. It was a mystery and I never gave it a thought. My mom never told me anything about them. Hence only my mom was the family I knew.
I felt a little pain in the chest while thinking about it, a quite natural feeling, I felt it every day and I had one thing my headphones and my playlist.
It was an hour of no disturbance when I finally woke up, I washed my face and realized Christie was about to come home and then I saw my room and saw my doom. There were bottles not of Coldrinks, an ashtray, and a packet by its side, my fridge filled with dozens of bottles itself.
And I heard the doorbell. "What do I do now? What?", I asked myself running around the room picking everything and putting it in a bag, and putting it on the balcony. Then I sprayed deo everywhere, even on myself, and taking a mouth freshener, opened the door.
It was Christie and someone else too.
"Hello! Good morning, dear, I'm Christie's sister, Claire. May we come in?" she said.
"S…. S…. Sure", I stumbled and moved away from the door to give space to enter and then closed it.
I offered them seats as mannerly as I could. I noticed Christie in a mood depicting happiness. I knew from the earlier day that she was a person of few words and the edges of her lips moved up once in a blue moon say but the face today was…. a little melancholic. At first, I thought it would be due to entering someone's house for the first time after meeting him just a day before but after looking at her sister, I had my doubts.
There were no doubts that Claire felt at home and I mean it. She was just opposite natured girl as Chris was. She was extroverted, and interactive, though this feature was quite disturbing for me, then she liked short hair and her clothing style was way different from Chris's. Where Christie looked like the beauty of the century, Claire in her main outfit stood universally apart from Chris. After this quick realization, I started with my explanation of all the problems Chris put up and they were the real problems as all of them were the ones I did put up in the class t professor.
I wasn't expecting but she was my level. After 2 hours of study, we both were done and decided on a break and asked if they would like some refreshments. Chris offered help and her offer was undeniable. We were nearly on our way when Claire said, "Johny boy! Let Christie go, come here I wanna talk."
I was quiet for a moment or two and then turned to Christie whose face said something I couldn't understand. I told Chris way to the kitchen. She said, "Take care!" and left. It took me a moment to figure out nothing and turned towards the room in melancholy. I realized Claire was not at the table. Before I could realize the door closed behind me. It was Claire looking at me as if I was the cuisine of some sort.
