New Reality

-Read my new book Nightmare Mythos!! As soon as I woke up, I was transferred to this weird place. It was so sudden that it made my mind couldn’t come up with any form of idea as this strange phenomenon was nothing I never heard or experienced, but I quickly gather my composure. Then, I realized, I was not the only one. To be honest, these are the things that I only read through novels and fantasy books but experiencing it myself wasn’t what I really wanted. Not even once. Reading was something I loved as it was fun. To others, it may be a time where they get out from harsh reality but that’s life, you face a lot of hardships. But strange. Why? Why am I here? No, why are we here? What’s our purpose for coming here? At least put a warning that I will get to go to another world! Just me is good! Questions formed which made me quite nervous but I calm myself down, as being nervous will be only a hinder to my thinking. I breathe. “First, let’s assume this is real.” After thinking so, I began to form a little plan inside my head. Preparing like a normal person would do when this kind of thing happens. I executed my plan in my head before waiting. As the timer was tickling down and thought that after its number’s hits zero, all of us are going back to our daily lives. [0:00] But it didn’t happen. After I saw what happened to that man with his head being sliced, the simple plan I had was crushed in an instant. Yet, that one act was enough for me to realize one simple thing. The thing is… it was a bitter pill to swallow. “This is real…” I was only assuming that it is but…it's just unfair. “There’s no going back…” … It doesn’t matter if you go back in time… It doesn’t matter if you’re a genius or an outstanding fighter… It doesn’t matter what challenges I will encounter… I will succeed, find answers to everything, and survive… Until everything ends. *** : Cover not mine. Just edited small things on it. If you're the owner, just tell me if you wanted it removed. : Keeping the story's setting simple as this is my first book. : So yeah, everyone who had read the novel regressor instruction manual would notice the large similarity in the first few chapters of mine and it is because I'm a fan of that novel, but I would tell it now as I think it should be known to you guys. Informing should be the right thing to do. : Although I have a cliche setting, I'll at least try something original. : Hey, if you're reading this, try to read now! Maybe some of you love a mind-blowing chapter one but I don't have that in my novel, instead, I'll make it good for the future chapters I will be making. Anyway, thank you for taking your time, and go read it!

Plan: Ignore

"Sigh, a week passed like that? Well, I think it's also time to get serious." Gin said out loud while he still lying down on his bed.

'I should probably get up now. They said that the training will start today,' Gin mused inwardly as he stretches his arm to the max before getting up.

"Geez, I really like this kind of life. I will really get this kind of life and repeat the relaxation I felt over the last week." Gin continued out loud as he prepared himself, at the same time, remembering what happened last week.

For a week, Gin does what a normal human would do. He eats, roams around the stadium, sleeps at the night, does exercises inside his room. He also talks to his group about certain things but only when they can't be seen by others.

Remembering all those fun times, Gin felt relaxed not until he remembered the event that had happened when they were exiting the tutorial.

"Seats... huh." Gin spoke out loud, remembering the word he saw at the title on their status window, "I would've known already if they're big shots criminal from the people's mouth but looks like they're the quiet type of criminals."

Gin continued. "If a title has been given, there must be some kind of history about it, right?"

Saying those things out loud, he remembers the fight he, his group, and Colton had done with Six and Seven.

If not for Seven getting caught off guard by his arrow, the event inside would become more dangerous.

That's not all as after Seven was unavailable, Six remained strong and fought all of them.

Even though they have an advantage when it comes to numbers, Six remained composed and fight them head-on, protecting Seven at the same time.

With Colton fighting him and even failing to kill him is enough proof that they're really dangerous and have tons of experience when it comes to that, making them stronger when they decided to show once more as this would serve as another experience for them.

Thinking those things inside his head, Gin sighed, "Thinking about it now, they would surely become a problematic organization. What a pain."

Wearing casual clothes, Gin began to leave his room leaving those words inside it.

For the past week, the leaders of the said kingdoms had given them a week of rest for the traumatic event they witnessed. Thus, they said that all necessities are available here inside the stadium.

They gave them food, shelter, clothes, and even entertainment like a circus.

They also said they give this stadium for them to live temporarily in this comfortable and warm 'home'. Hearing that made newbies happy but from another perspective, that made Gin laugh hard when he is finally inside his room.

'It's more like a research laboratory than home.' Gin mused inwardly before he quickly shrugged it off on his mind.

Receiving free things would make everyone happy, but there are a few words that if one just keeps giving; you must repay it with the same amount or higher.

They didn't even say it was free it was the first place.

Gin knew that it was the case, also thinking the reason why they did all of those.

'They must be expecting us to do a good job, just because they show us they are good people on the outside,' Gin mused inwardly as he formed a faint smile, 'They're just wasting their resources.'

Walking leisurely, Gin continued picking the right way to go at the place where they announced everything earlier.

As he walked, Gin moved his head slightly on the side upon seeing some people moving also moving in the same way. It was a place where it is enough for the newbies present to sit and listen to the announcements.

'Now that I think about it, this is a really big place.' Gin thought inwardly, recalling the things he saw while he was going down at the tutorial.

To be exact, the place had a size of a large stadium but also not a stadium. It looks like a building that had rooms for everyone, a school, a training room, shops. All those things and many more are mixed in this very place.

But it looks like a school for some reason.

'Looks like I'm back being a student.' Gin chuckled, remembering those harsh days.

With both of Gin's hands placed inside his pocket on the sides, he continued, 'Looks like no god's or demon has invited me to be their apostle. If that happens, I don't know what excuses will I say to reject them.'

For the past week, no divine and demonic beings had offered something. Gin didn't know why but he was happy about it and would gladly love the situation if it continues.

And, if by chance it happened, rejecting it would be a hassle.

As if Gin only was waiting for a higher being to give him an invitation and rejecting him later. He wasn't just idling around for that week for that purpose only.

He uses his eyes to observe the newbies, looking at their stats to see if they're strong.

Surprisingly, they're a lot of them. They're good and all but Gin had his decision that he wouldn't replace Nash just for them.

Even if he was weak as hell, Gin wouldn't leave him as he was holding a weapon that only him has it.

Memories.

Well, Nash wasn't weak on this timeline but also has stats that are miles above others. No one is as good as him when it comes to that. Gin knew it.

If somebody tried to even pick a fight on him, they should just pray while regretting why they did it in the first place. Well, as if somebody would fight the leader of the rookies.

Tak!

As he keep walking towards his destination, Gin curiously look at the front and saw people gathering at one spot. His curiosity only died down when he noticed that it was his group.

Gin saw the people gathering at them as their eyes sparkled. They had a look on their face that a celebrity had descended and had joined them for a trip.

'Pft, how funny. Those fake bastard.' Gin mused inwardly as he let out a small chuckle, 'I bet it wouldn't last after we are done on this place.'

'I think I really made the right choice to remove those people beside me.' Gin paused as he began to quickly hasten his pace, 'Sigh... Being popular is really bad.'

As Gin haste his pace by moving at the uncrowded place, the group noticed who the guy is just because of the mask he was wearing. They noticed how he walk without a care in the world.

He was really relaxed.

The group wanted to join them, except Nash, who quickly understood his position.

The others, on the other hand, tried to get his attention to come beside them nevertheless it didn't happen.

Gin goes forward and ignored them like some air passing by. They tried to be positive but it was clearly seen on their faces how sullen they are. It looked like an owner that had abandoned his dogs on the street.

Some people that had gathered notice it, but others are really persistent in getting their attention.

Jasmin, who is the nearest person at Gin earlier, annoyingly spoke inwardly, 'This is the worst. We're continuing this until this... ends?'

Jasmin wanted to talk to Gin so badly that she was planning to break the plan, when she instantly stopped as someone appeared, blocking her view at Gin.

"Why are you looking at me with that kind of eyes...?" A man, who is a bit handsome, spoke while wearing a smug smile, with his head turning at the other people chasing Jasmin, "If you do that, what about the others?"

He then pans his head back at Jasmin, only to see her annoyed expression.

"This place is not for finding your love, mister," Jasmin spoke sternly, "If you think that it is the case, there are other girls you can hit with, not me. Now, move a little will you?"

"..."

Hearing Jasmin's stern voice, everyone following her holds their laughs inside their mouth.

That man was easily shut down like that. His face instantly turned red in embarrassment before quickly moving back to give space to Jasmin.

The others listening giggled, started to know that she shouldn't be blocked if she was eyeing something.

Nash and Kisha are not an exception. Although the others also have people in their surroundings, these two are just on another level.

They were treated like an important ornament that shouldn't be touched, and the distance between them was enough proof.

Nash, who didn't care any of this a bit, was flocked by females. Not only newbies but also adult instructors who are also females. They took glances at him but they remain their place, just watching him from the sidelines.

It was the same for Kisha with her being flocked by males.

And this kind of situation had been continuing from the first day. It was becoming exhausting for them.

'This is too annoying'

The others were having the same thoughts.

Moving their head forward, they sees that their destination was still out of sight.

The only thing they could do was to walk silently, remembering the event that happened after the visitors attacked them.

It was the time when Gin old them to gather up as he told them that he have something important to tell.

"After that attack, I decided to quickly think of something." Gin spoke calmly as he walks towards outside, "I think it is not good for us to be together until we know that we're truly safe."

"Huh?" The group, except Nash, blurted involuntarily in unison.

"Don't get me wrong, it's not like we're saying goodbyes on each other. What I mean is, we will not talk until we're truly safe. Be strangers to each other." Gin quickly continued with his usual calm tone, 'Those people would most likely try to find me.'

"C-can you explain it more?" Jasmin stuttered, interjecting before she continued inwardly, 'Don't be together for a while? When will be the word 'while' end huh.'

"It's a safety plan, Jasmin." Gin spoke as he glanced half of his head at Jasmin, "I think the world outside would be a dangerous one. I'm just feeling it."

"..."

After Gin says the statement, the group turned serious with a mix of confusion on their faces.

"Since you guys are confused, let me explain." Gin paused and he continued. "I've been thinking about this when those two black guys came here without any harm."

"Without harm? They surely would, because they used the portal to come here. Of course, they will come here unscathed." Jia spoke, with the others agreeing with her statement.

Gin nodded, "Correct, but after they got in here, did you see their confidence? That kind of confidence that they would really kidnap us, not minding the other people coming here?"

"But that swordsman name Colton comes, Gin," Laura interjected, seemingly confused about Gin.

"I know that Laura but I'm talking about before sir Colton comes." Gin clarified even more, continuing, "Doesn't it feel weird that they just come here easily? Look at how they move, their expression wasn't even bothered a little bit."

Hearing Gin clarified his statement, the group began to think about it for themselves and all of them could agree that it really happened earlier.

Gin then proceed to look at Nash's expressionless face, remembering how he reacted earlier.

'Seeing him getting angry is also unexpected. It must be someone he already knew.' Gin mused the thought, that has a higher chance of happening, 'I bet it didn't happen at first. Geez, wake up regressor. The things that had happened there will be different this time."

Forming a faint smile on his face, Gin continued, "Maybe something happened when sir Colton was going up which made the two guys earlier have that kind of confidence.

Gin paused, "If that is the case, do you believe it was a coincidence? No, I don't think so. I think they plan this really carefully but they failed at one thing."

"..."

Gin continued to put the puzzles together, knowing what their purpose for coming here with their other purpose added. It was really simple.

Gin took a breath, "They failed at capturing us, at the same time, failing to kill others left. I don't know what's their reason for capturing us but it was their purpose."

"..."

"Maybe I am overthinking this. I'll ask sir later." Gin spoke before they goes out to the tower.

Moments passed, Gin and the others are the only ones left at the stairs of the tower as they go down.

The newbies already left fast, hearing that they have someplace to stay but Gin use this chance to talk at Colton.

"Sir, may I have your time?" Gin asked respectfully.

"What is it?" Colton hurriedly answered, turning around.

Gin nodded, "Does something happen when you come to retrieve us?"

Hearing his on-point question, Colton answered, "Indeed, something did happen. People started to appear on these stairs out of nowhere when I and my crew were climbing up to retrieve you guys."

"...'

Seeing Gin didn't speak after he had answered, Colton remembered someone while looking at him, 'Seems like this kid's attitude is the same as Hans. How funny.'

Colton continued, "While we were battling these unknown guys, I told them that I should go up first. After I was there, screams and such were heard inside the place. I saw the corpses on the ground first before moving my eyes at the man in black clothing. Then, events happen."

Remembering those corpses, Colton continued with a sad tone, "Is it your comrade that died there? Was he or she one of the victims?"

"..."

Gin thinking was stopped upon hearing Colton, moving his face there only to see his sad expression.

'Why do you look like that?' Gin couldn't help but ask inwardly as he formed a frown on his face, 'Well, it was the opposite as that guy was a traitor. He exposed Nash and others hence, it was the karma he had gotten.'

"I see. It's painful, isn't it?"

'What painful?'

"Losing a comrade… I know that kind of feeling."

'What feeling?'

"..."

Gin was about to nod his head but he stopped when Colton speak, making him muse inwardly, 'Wait... why do sound like I just lost a comrade there? I was about to shake my head when you spoke at the right timing!'

It was then Gn saw Colton slowly move towards him.

He was cautiously walking towards him.

"..."

The group saw Colton's movements and waited for him to do something.

But Gin was the one person who is surprised, at the same time, weirded out by Colton's movements. He wanted to step back but he was afraid to do it, as he would fall if he does.

Under his mask, Gin formed a frown as he waited for Colton to stop his weird movements and he did stop, unfortunately, in front of him.

At the moment, Colton leans slightly forward before giving him a hug.

"Eh?"

"I'm sorry if I'm late."

'What do you mean late? It was perfect. Just stop...' Gin mused inwardly as he began to get away from Colton's clutch.

Misunderstanding what he meant, Colton faintly noticed it and began to hug him even more.

'It hurts, fuck. Ugh... just how strong is this guy?' Gin can't help but question, 'Hey, your student is watching us you know? Who knows what's that guy's thinking when he sees us being like this. Get... away.'

After, Gin began gasping for breath feeling that the hug was becoming stronger.

"It's... okay sir but...cough… can you remove your hands… I…cough… can't breath."

Colton finally let go seeing that he did too much, before letting out a laugh.

"Hahaha! I'm sorry. I thought you were just sad. Is it the purpose of your smiling mask? Like hiding the pain from everyone? That's nice." Colton said while tapping Gin's shoulder.

After the talk, the others began to walk down and Gin let them be as he have to ask Colton about his thought.

"Actually, there's a reason why I wanted to talk with you." Gin spoke with a serious tone.

"I see, what is it?" Colton answered while shooing Nash, Tim, and others.

"Can you..."

Gin began to speak very long, requesting something at Colton. For a moment, he thought that Colton was smiling every time he said those words.

After the long talk, Gin was finally finished.

"Hmm. I see. To summarize, as long I as avoid you from others that you know your group, everything is good, right?" Colton simplified with him having a sudden thought, making him chuckle, 'Looks like the two are a bit different. That guy is dumb while this guy is smart.'

Seeing his reaction, Gin knitted his eyebrows yet he answered anyway, "Yes, sir."

"Sure, I could do that," Colton answered with a smile as he patted Gin's back.

Satisfied by the answer, Gin said his thanks before going back to his group. Going back to his group, he began to tell about this plan and named it 'plan ignore' by himself.

"Nash… we're here," Laura called the dazed Nash, who was thinking the things Gin had told them.

Nash instantly snapped back before focusing his attention on the front.

He saw a familiar door with newbies and teachers alike, entering. He glanced at his group first before giving them a nod, with them nodding back.

Nash then began to leisurely walk inside the place together with the group, as they walk side by side.

Though I said the stadium has a design like a school, no school arc will be happening.

I will just be introducing some pieces of stuff, with little fights then we can proceed.

I hope this is enough proof (author) to clear your doubts if by chance you guys are thinking that I'm using that arc to make chapters longer.

No, I won't.

(I'm also fed up with school arcs.) ^^
