"There you go. The first guild card you get at each rank is free, but if you loose it or break it, buying a new one will cost you 5 bronze coins and the price will get increasingly more expensive as your rank rises." The bunny-kin explained professionally.
"How about I explain the rules to both of them?" Luna said to her coworker who had just given Mia her guild card.
"Alright, sounds good to me." The red-haired receptionist replied.
Mia then stood next to Thea, so close that their arms were even touching. Thea of course didn't mind so she refocused her attention on the bunny-kin receptionist.
"Listen up girls, both of you are going to start at F-rank as you can see on your cards." Luna said as Thea and Mia confirmed it by checking their cards.

Then the bunny-kin continued: "On that wall there, you can see all the flyers hanging on it, the flyers will have different missions and rewards depending on the difficulty. You can also officially form a party but then the rewards will be split and many more missions are going to be required to rank up." Luna explained.
"Furthermore, you can choose to accept a task 1 rank higher than your own, but as soon as you fail to complete it, your rank can be demoted. That's why G-rank is the lowest rank even when both of you have started at F-rank." Luna warned.
"The types of tasks you can accept, vary from gathering, guarding, dungeon exploration and slaying monsters and beasts. Finally ranking up can happen after enough missions have been completed but as soon as you rank up to C-rank, you will need to start completing evaluation missions." Luna finished as she breathed out after the long explanation.
As Thea listened, she understood most of it but then Mia asked a question she hadn't thought of yet.
"How do we show proof that we finished the task?" Mia asked.
"Well close to the gate we have a processing building. You can hand in monster corpses or herbs you have collected and they will give you money and a proof of completion slip that you bring here. As for guarding tasks, either the employer comes here to confirm the completion or they give you their own proof of completion slip." The receptionist explained.
'Can't you then just kill the employer to get the slip?' Thea thought but didn't dare ask.
"Each proof of completion slip has a specific mana signature of the person who gave it, if they die, the signature disappears and the proof of completion becomes a normal slip of paper." Luna explained as if she read Thea's mind.
Thea and Mia asked a few extra questions, formed an official party and then thanked the receptionists for their work.
They then walked over to the to the large wall with the flyers and started looking for some suitable quests.
As Thea was looking at the quests on the board she suddenly heard someone speak behind her along with a rough hand grabbing the end of one of her swaying tails.
"Hey bitch, if ya joined the guild looking for some action, how about I take ya out back and give ya some?" The voice said, as the hand holding her tail yanked upwards.
Although Thea had expected something cliché like this to happen, she had forgotten about her tails, and especially now, when she just had her recent 'growth spurt' her tails had become even more sensitive.
Together with the way the man was yanking at one of her tails, Thea's legs became incredibly weak, and before they were about to give out, the activated her [Hair & Tail Strike] and was about to strike at the man, but before she could, the hand abruptly let go and a loud crashing sound was heard behind her along with loud laughter.
"How can a mere D-rank take what I want?" A new, low and raspy voice spoke behind Thea.
Annoyed and getting increasingly angry, Thea turned around to see the source of the new voice, only to find a bear of a man standing in front of her.
The man was muscular and tall, but looked brutish and… dumb. He was wearing shiny armor and had a large sword that must have been as tall as Thea.
"I'm not a 'what' you fat brute, and if you touch me in any way like that man did, I'll make you regret it." Thea said in a ticked off manner, as she looked at a man in the distance slumped over against the cracked wall.
