Mission Accomplished?

"Yes, it's me. We're going to get you out of here," Ke said, helping Pu Si to her feet before fading them both into the tent's shadow.

Ke and Pu became shadows that quickly fled through the camp. As they made their way out of the encampment, they were confronted by one of the senior expert-level Sinners. Seeing him stomping the ground and causing a shock wave of true essence, Ke was forced to exit the shadow realm. The enemy was a towering figure with rippling muscles and a menacing gaze.

"You're not going anywhere," the Sinner snarled, drawing his sword.

Ke Si took a deep breath, steeling himself for the fight ahead.

The Sinner charged forward, his sword gleaming with death force. Ke Si dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the blade. He counterattacked with a lightning-fast punch, but the Saint easily blocked it with his sword. However, eight shadow fists going the same speed attacked the Sinner from behind before he could react. The terrifying impact battered the sinner's body and sent him crashing through several tents miserably.

Deep in the enemy camp, within the main tent, a villainous Voodoo Priest named Jonte Mack had his eyes closed. Rukh fluttered around as he chanted a mantra, using his spiritual force to refine Pu Si's blood essence into curse marks and write a sinister curse. His focus was so intense that he didn't immediately notice the commotion, "Eh?"

CRASH!

His subordinate suddenly crashed by to visit but didn't even stay for tea. There was a huge hole in his tent, which had enchantments that made the inside larger in space.

"WHO DARES!" Sinister rukh released from his body as his eyes snapped open.

He stood up, shredding the tent into pieces. A broadsword with an eight-foot-blade covered in creepy eyes that moved on their own manifested in his hand as his force momentum tripled. He immediately noticed Charlotte Slaughter wantonly destroying their camp and murdering his subordinates.

He grimaced but moved to engage this killing star.

However, Jonte only took two steps before falling back in retreat. He jumped and dodged from side to side like a beast trying to throw something off his back.

Thirty meters from him, a puppet made of strange metal floated in the air. It was dressed like a butler holding a huge cane and looked a little funny. However, this was not the terrifying part. The moment this puppet appeared, Jonte felt the presence of arcane forces all around him. It was similar to the feeling of being cursed, yet also different. Jonte didn't realize that six arcane circles had suddenly appeared inside his shadow. They were barely visible since they were also covered in black light.

"That's it! Dark Hack, crucify!" Jonte slashed like a maniac at the evil-looking puppet that seemed to be taunting him and making faces.

Black sword light containing piercing force waves crashed into the puppet, but some weird force deflected it all.

Behind this battle, Ke calmly rose from Pu Si's shadow, cradling her in his arms. She was barely alive. This indicated to Ke Si that the only thing keeping her alive was the fact that Layla was also alive. In that case, where was Layla right now?

"For daring to harm a member of my clan, only one outcome remains for you. Death." Ke Si spat, his fury making his temple veins throb. Jonte turned his head but sneered. Did they think a little puppet was enough to stop him? However, Ke's next words sent a shiver down his spine.

"Time to stop playing around, Jinx," Ke's gaze was so cold and emotionless that it gave Jonte a chill.

"Yes, master," said the evil butler puppet as a pale gold sage atmosphere suddenly exploded from its person. At this moment, Jonte finally noticed the spell haunting his shadow. However, it was a step too late as the puppet and Ke Si both said, "IMMOLATE!"

BANG!

The Voodoo Priest's shadow was blown into nothing, forever disappearing from this world.

"NOOOO!~~" Jonte Mack felt like his soul had been obliterated from within his body, his ghastly scream filling his desperate subordinates with dread as they fought with their lives on the line. Jonte's lifeless body slunk to the ground and Ke Si vanished into the shadows once more.

Charlotte continued her rampage through the enemy camp, leaving a trail of destruction in her wake. She had no mercy for those who dared to harm her clan, and she reveled in the power that surged through her veins. Her halberd sliced through the air, leaving a trail of crimson flame in its wake.

These flames were a manifestation of her slaughter force! The Sinners were no match for her, and they fell one by one before her relentless assault. As she battled her way through the camp, she heard a voice in her head. It was Layla. She was alive, but she was trapped in a nearby tower. Charlotte knew that she had to get to Layla before it was too late.

She made her way towards the tower, fighting her way through the remaining guards. As she approached the tower, she saw that it was heavily guarded. But Charlotte was not deterred. She charged forward, her halberd blazing with crimson fire.

The guards tried to stop her, but they were no match for Charlotte's power. She easily sliced through them, her heaven's mantle leaving a trail of crimson in its wake. As she reached the tower, she felt a surge of force. It was Layla. She was close. Charlotte blasted her way through the tower's defenses, her blade cutting through everything in its path. She finally reached the top of the tower, where she found Layla badly injured and barely conscious.

"Layla!" Charlotte cried, rushing to her side.

"Little Lotto..." Layla Goldwolf whispered, her voice weak. "Are you still hovering around little O..?"

"I'm here, Layla. I'm going to get you out of here," Charlotte said, picking up her sister and carrying her out of the tower.

As they emerged on the other side, Layla collapsed into Ke Si's arms when she saw him and Pu.

"Layla," Pu called out to her.

She turned to Pu, a look of relief on her face, then she turned to Ke.

"Ke Si," she said, moving towards him.

As they met, Ke Si could see the exhaustion in her eyes. She was tired but still ready to fight.

"We need to get out of here," he said, taking her hand.

She nodded, and together, they faded into the shadows.

As Ke Si disappeared into the shadows, Charlotte Slaughter continued to wreak havoc on the remaining enemy soldiers. Her movements were fluid, and her attacks were precise. She moved with such grace that it was almost as if she was dancing.

The remaining soldiers were terrified, knowing that they were no match for Charlotte's power. They tried to run, but Charlotte was too quick for them. One by one, she took them down until there were none left.

Once the fighting was over, Charlotte made her way over to Ke Si. She could see the rage in his eyes and knew he had lost someone important to him. She looked west to a corpse tied up to a black cross.

"Who was she?" Charlotte asked, nodding towards the corpse.

"She was my kinsman," Ke Si replied, his voice tight with emotion. "Faun Si."

Charlotte nodded, "What about the other one? Pu, was it?"

"She was badly injured, but I managed to get her out of there," Ke said as he tried to calm down.

"Well, come." Charlotte walked towards Ke. "Let's wrap this up and head back to support the madam."
