Starting a new mission.

Punk located a modest inn for his stay, yet his mere presence undeniably cast a shadow over the establishment's business. As soon as the other guests in the inn laid eyes on the enigmatic mage checking in, they hastily chose to depart from the place.

The hotel owner had a forced smile on his face when he was receiving Punk. Almost all ordinary people are instinctively afraid of unfamiliar powerful professionals. The main reason for it was the pressure brought by the higher-level soul of a professional.

Punk didn't care about these ordinary people's feelings; he calmly walked into the room he just booked.

After entering the hotel room, what Punk saw was a peeling wall and greasy bed, and because of his enhanced hearing, he could even hear the squeaking sound of rats.

Seeing all this, Punk just shrugged, "All transmigrators always dedicated their full attention to save or destroy the world! Why should they care about luxury".

Punk sighed. He can't spend money lavishly because the Mage union's task has no monetary rewards except for the qualification to purchase an apprentice-level knowledge.

Punk still remembered what the old Mage said to him- "Knowledge is priceless; there are no other organizations that impart knowledge this easily to new members, like the Mage Union."

In fact, Punk knows that the old Mage was right. There are many mage organizations such as the "Zhentarim Society," but not only their new member has to go through various strict assessments to join, but the condition to exchange knowledge is even harsher than the mage union.

Now Punk also understands why every professional desperately wants to find a mentor, not only because they can get the guidance but also because it is too difficult and slow to independently acquire knowledge.

Punk feels that after setting his cultivation path on the right track, he must also consider looking for a mentor. After all, even if he has the ancient elves' bloodline, and his life span is very long. Still, if he has to complete an endless amount of mission, then no amount of time will be enough; on the other hand, it is also very dangerous.

But for now, Punk has to complete "The undead forest" mission to recover from his immediate economic crisis.

Finally, Punk decided not to think about all these bad things and decided to buy some food and return to his room. After all, he will set off for the mission tomorrow, and inevitably he has to spend the next few days without good food or sleep. So he decided to have a good meal tonight. Besides, he was actually looking forward to the specialties of this world.

"In fact, he was always a little gluttonous!" Punk sighed and walked out of the hotel.

Under the light of various lanterns, the streets of Konola City was very bright.

Punk also discovered that the nightlife of people in cities in this world is actually quite rich.

He saw a young bard was reciting Poem about "a war in a distant kingdom" on a small plaza, surrounded by young peoples and children who were listening to him attentively. Some chefs were cooking meat of some unknown animal on a large grill, and the billowing heat from it was lingering around.

Some noble's carriages were galloping by at high speed, naturally without caring about the fact that many vendors' goods war scraped to the ground because of them.

Punk found a barbecue shop. The middle-aged man of the shop graciously handed over a meat kabab to Punk for tasting. Punk also welcomed this offer, but only after quietly using a "secondary poison detection" spell. The oily barbecue meat was covered with a layer of rich flavored sauce. The upper layer of the barbecue was golden and crisp, looking very appetizing.

Punk took a large bite from the barbecue meat, the juicy piece of meat rolled on the tip of his tongue, and the smooth taste made Punk very satisfied. In the end, Punk bought a whole bag of barbecue meat. Even though it was wrapped in thick kraft paper, the aroma still made the surrounding stray dogs drool uncontrollably. Punk decided to enjoy the food today without thinking about the mission.

Because Punk didn't know when the mission will be completed, he finished the entire pack of barbecue in one night. Although Punk has some divination spells,

which can be helpful in finding the "Forest of the undead," but Punk feels that the information obtained by his apprentice-level spell, will be very limited. After all, the "Forest of the Undead " is a target with magical powers, and it may also be shielded by a spell.

.......

"I hope my luck will be good; otherwise, I have to be ready for the task of finding a needle in a haystack."

The Punk sighed in his heart while standing in front of the city gate. He saw that the bigger sun, Casa, had appeared on the horizon. He again checked the magic items on his body- robe and staff,

and finally, pick up a large bag of dry food that he had just bought from the innkeeper and then set off to the wasteland.

The time flew by quickly, unknowingly, the big and small both suns has set, and three moons of different colors have appeared in the night sky. (Pheren has three moons, namely: The dark blue Moon—Gall, the Whirling Moon—Thor, and the artificial moon—Eye of Dorothy)

Now that Punk was far away from Konola city, standing under a crooked and withered tree. The moonlight was falling on Punk's figure, creating a mysterious and eerie atmosphere.

After feeling the results of his prophecy spell, he was frowning...

"I don't know how many times I have detected this."

Even after using a few different prophecy spells, Punk only got some very messy information, but after the night time came, he received a separate piece of information-"Someone can use the direction of Thor's return."

Punk touched his chin and thought about it, "The Whirling Moon-Thor's return should refer to its rise (In Pheren plane, moons and suns revolve around it), and what does it mean that someone can use it? Does it mean that the person is related to the undead forest? Or does it mean that he can help me find it"? Finally, Punk decided to follow the prophetic hints and try. After all, if he wanders around like a headless chicken, he might have to stay in the Aigma Wasteland for months, and there was no indication of any danger in the prophetic message.

Punk blessed himself with a night vision spell and looked up at the moon.

Because of the cloudy weather, except for Dorothy's Eye, which was still bright and conspicuous, the other two moons were covered by thick clouds. There was only a faint light looming from the night sky.

"It looks like it's going to rain..." Punk tidied the brim of his robe's hood, let its shadow cover most of his face, and then walked northward in the direction where Thor rose.

In the hushed stillness of the desolate wasteland, the dew from the tender grass-soaked Punk's leather boots. After walking for two hours, Punk suddenly saw a little light in the distance, and in the dark night when he used night vision, this little light was very conspicuous.

Punk carefully infused his Mage's armor with mana once more, then cautiously advanced towards the source of the light. As he drew near, he saw a young girl with glasses was sitting on the grass; a bonfire was burning quietly on the ground. The girl was wearing a white robe, and there was a golden emblem carved of the morning sun on the robe's chest. A book of "The Teachings of the Light" was neatly placed on her lap. The girl didn't seem to have noticed the arrival of Punk.

With a cheerful expression, she clasped her hands together, muttering words like, "Thank you for the eternal light, your brilliance shall bring salvation to everyone."

In the flickering glow of the bonfire, the girl's countenance appeared both holy and gentle, endearingly cute and kind, but at the same time... disgusting! At least, that's what Punk thought.

This was an ardent devotee of Loshanda, the "God of Light."
