Soccer positions: explained

AN: Hello! I realize if you don't or didn't play soccer, it might be helpful for me to deeper explain the positions! I play soccer so I will do my best to help explain them to you! :)

Goalkeeper: the goalkeeper will stay the goal for most of the game, they are there to stop the ball from going into the goal when the other team tries to score! (kinda like a libero) they are also the only players on the field who can use their hands.

Full back (left and right): they will stay around the goalkeeper's box, and try to make sure the other team does not get the ball near your goal. They can go up the field, but they will typically stay near the middle of the further back. they are your defense.

Sweeper: they are the balance between the defense and the middle. they can travel where ever they want on the field to help out, however, they usually are more committed to defense, using powerful kicks to clear the ball off their side of the field.

Midfield: the mid fielders are usually the ones who help out with the attack, they will carry the ball from the defense and pass it to the offense. they can score points, and do the most running on the team because they are always going from back and forth between defense and offense.

Center defensive mid: pretty much a Sweeper...

Forward: the attackers! they are in charge of kicking the ball in the other team's goal. They have to be very fast to be able to get around the opposing team's defense, and kicks have to be very accurate to be able to fake out the goalkeeper.

Center forward (striker): yes the other forwards can attack too, but the strikers usually are the fastest of the forwards. they are the ones who players tend to pass to the most, and are the most reliable of the forwards.

In soccer, you earn points by getting the ball into the opposite team's goal. you can use your hands(unless you are a goalkeeper), and you cant hold the ball. there are some other rules too, but you don't really need to know them!

Alright, I tried my best to explain the positions, I'M SUPER SORRY IF YOU STILL DON'T GET IT!!!

LOVE YOU, HAVE A NICE DAY!

(i will be posting a new chapter soon!)
