"Now you are being ridiculous sugar." Muriel said before putting away his fork, he lost his appetite all of the sudden.

"Listen, you can go tomorrow and do it if that's what you want Muri, don't make me stop you, I'm just saying that I'm not going."

"The truth is that Ned asked for my Assistance only, he probably knew you would act like this... I was the one who wanted you to help me and not him."

"Huh? What?! why did you think lying to me was a good idea?"

"I thought that if I asked you directly you would obviously say no."

"Although you're right, in all cases I'm gonna say no, but I thought we made it to the level in our relationship where we could be honest to each other, yet here you are! you're still distrustful of me, and you're treating me as if I was Leonard and not Thorn."

Surprised by Thorn's words "You are too blunt sometimes Thorn." Muriel spoke standing-up, "Hey? what's wrong? why did you get-up?"

"I need to go to the restroom." Muriel said grabbing his bag and his coat, Thorn felt something was wrong as he watched Muriel walk to one of the waiters and asked them something, presumably the location of the restrooms.

...Few minutes later...

When Muriel failed to come back, Thorn got extremely worried, he didn't want to follow him to the restroom as he knew Muriel was probably in the ladies room instead of the men's, and he couldn't obviously go there.

So the worried Alpha waved to the waiter he saw talking with Muriel earlier, the younger male came rushing to Thorn's table.

"Mister Tang Right? how can I help you sir!" The waiter cheerfully spoke, "Is this about the bill? the lady that was with you, payed on your behalf before she left." he added.

Thorn couldn't believe it, "Excuse Me?! left?!" he said standing-up in a hurry, he picked-up his belongings and rushed outside, Thorn couldn't help but to feel like Muriel running off like this was his fault.

"Shit?! he couldn't have gone too far...Fuck! I must've said something stupid again!" he cursed himself as he got into his car, in few seconds he was driving away from the Italian restaurant, looking outside his windows to see if he caught a glimpse of Muriel.

He was supposed to be their driver tonight, since Muriel has left his car at the office, so Thorn figured Muriel must've either left walking to the nearest bus stop or maybe is going to find a taxi.

...Few minutes later...

Following his instincts, Thorn stopped his car away from the bus stop, in hopes of not drawing Any attention to himself and his luxurious ride.

After parking the car, He went on foot to that bus stop, it was crowded but he saw from a distance someone who resembled Muriel sitting there, surrounded by people that were staring at him.

Men and women were looking at Muriel in awe, and whispering amongst each other.

Thanks to the crowd's reaction, Thorn knew it was Muriel even if he couldn't see him clearly, also his heart began warming-up as he approached the bus stop.

As he got closer, Thorn listened in as an old lady was bragging to her friends about how she used to be as beautiful as the 'heterochromic eyes' Beauty, when she was younger.

One blushing guy in a suit was being loudly teased by his coworkers to go and ask the Pretty lady for her number, while a school girl was whispering to her best-friend about what skin-routine does she think the pretty blonde woman uses.

Most of these people were unaware Muriel was a man, it was a common misconception, and it wasn't anything new for omegas like Muriel to be misgendered.

Muriel wasn't bothered by that, what bothered him was being the center of unwanted attention, so he often checked his phone and rummaged mindlessly in his bag while hoping no one approaches him, or people would just stop staring at him, as he waited aimlessly in the bus stop.

When the anxious omega's heart suddenly felt warm, he lifted his head to meet his Alpha's perturbed face.

Thorn let out a deep sight when Their eyes met, he was already a wreck of emotions by the time he found Muriel, now he felt his eyes watering and his face heating-up.

"Thorn!"

"Why?... why? did you run away?"

Muriel remained silent, turning his face away, "Is that her boyfriend?! Omg he's so dreamy!" the school girl whispered, "Pretty people stick together I guess." Her friend replied.

"Let's go Muri, you're coming with me." Thorn said grabbing him by his hand, he didn't drag Muriel forcefully or anything, although Thorn was emotional, he made sure he was careful not to cause Muriel harm.

But Muriel followed him until they were away from the crowd at the bus stop and few steps close to Thorn's car, before he snatched his hand back from the Alpha.

"Muriel."

"I am not going with you, I already called Ned to come pick me up."

"Is this about the party? I'll go to the fucking party! just don't let go of my hand!"

"No! I am not guilt tripping you into helping me! I respect your choice of not attending and you should do the same, respect my choice of not wanting to go with you!"

"I'm driving you to your home! we won't go to my house if that's what you want, just let me make sure you're home safe." Thorn said gently with a smile, trying to sound like his exuberant self, but his smile soon faded.

"No, I do not want to see you right now!" Muriel replied as he began walking away from him.

It didn't take that much for Thorn to finally break, "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry I...*sobs* I'm an idiot and I don't even know what I did wrong, but if I hurt you in anyway...I want you to know, I'm really sorry... just don't leave me!"

Stopping in his tracks, Muriel looked back at Thorn, seeing How it took a second for Thorn to be bawling his eyes out, tore him inside-out and he couldn't keep it together.

Muriel knew Thorn was badly hurt, he felt it.

So he rushed back to Thorn, cupping the teary red eye man's face in his hands, "I am sorry for leaving you in such rude manner Sugar, at the restaurant I mean...I was afraid I would lash out on you, that is why I said I do not wish to see you right now."

"I *sobs* must've said some stupid shit again, didn't I?" Thorn asked, Muriel was able to feel how Thorn's body was shaking in his grasps.

"That does not matter anymore, I still have chosen to handle This recklessly, it must have been scary when all of the sudden, you could not feel my presence around." Muriel replied then pulled Thorn for a hug, gently patting his mate's back as the bigger man cried more.

"I'm sorry *sobs* I know I'm a big baby."

"It is fine to cry my dear, a better alternative than to bottle it up."

...Few minutes later...

"Wow Thorn! you look like shit my guy!"

"MASTER! you can't say something like that directly!...I am sorry on behalf of Master Ned, he has absolutely no filter."

"It's okay Aroon, he's not that wrong." Thorn replied sniffing, he had calmed down by the time Ned had came to pick Muriel up.

"BUT I would rather appreciate it, if you do not Point out how bad he looks after crying Neddie, I am guilty of putting him in That state in the first place." Muriel spoke almost immediately after Thorn, making Ned giggle at them.

"Hehehe, look at you two! *mockingly* You said 'There's nothing that's going to happen between me and Thorn!' and then BOOM! you guys turned out to be mates!... that's karma for lying Hun!" Ned replied smirking.

"NEDDIE!"

Facepalming himself, "I believe your problem has resolved itself, so are you going back together?" Aroon Asked the couple and The two glanced at each other for a while.

"Since Muriel was planning to crash at my place, you guys can stay both at my house for the night.

It'll make it easier for Muriel to help me out tomorrow, but if you guys want to go back together to your places, then that's fine." Ned said suggesting.

"Can we really stay at your house, both of us?" Thorn asked, his words made Muriel a little surprised.

"Yeah! you know why I need Muriel right?"

"I know, you want him to organize a birthday party."

"And you know for who."

"I do."

"Well, as long as you guys don't end-up fighting again because of me, you both are welcome to stay." Ned replied, "So Muriel? wanna ride with him or me?" he added.

"Oh! I Will go with him, we will follow you guys behind with his car." Muriel responded, wrapping his arm around Thorn's, it made Thorn smile with ease.

"As you wish." Aroon spoke, bowing his head like usual.

Aroon climbed into the driver seat and Ned soon followed him, he was still Smirking at Muriel.

"Let us follow them now." Muriel softly spoke letting go of his mate, before walking to the passenger side of Thorn's car.

Thorn still smiling like an idiot, eagerly walked to his side of the car, climbing in.

"Should we get Ned some ice cream on the way? I don't like going empty handed to people's houses."

"It is unnecessary to do that...Ned does not care if we came empty handed, and he has a year's worth of ice cream stocked in his house.

How about we order something when we get there? Ned likes to eat after Midnight."

"I think I got a better idea!" Thorn replied starting the engine, "Let's hope he has no problem with me borrowing his kitchen."
