Chapter 111: Aftermath of Abyssam

The dust settled, the battlefield lay eerily quiet. Unbeknownst to Wendy and her companions, Abyssam had managed to escape in the chaos that followed their victory. The remnants of his malevolent essence had seeped into the ground and left no trace of his presence. The darkness given off by his mere presence faded away.

"We did it!" Kayo exclaimed while raising up one arm in victory. "We managed to defeat Abyssam and save Neospace, and it's all thanks to Wendy! She's amazing!"

Kolra, with a sly smile, sidled up to Kayo. "You know, I couldn't help but notice how you couldn't take your eyes off of Wendy," she said, her tone light but her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Could it be that your heart feels something more than just victory for Neospace? Why don't you ask her out right now?Hmm?"

Kayo's cheeks turned a shade of crimson as he stammered, "N-No, it's not like that! I-I just meant that Wendy did a great job in the battle, that's all!"
