Chapter 12

Doctor Xiao stared at the bright, iridescent green eyes and continued, "But the problem is the native inhabitants."

The alien species in the bodies of water are the most diverse and gigantic, rivaling even mountains. 

In the great era of evolution, their alienation was the most uncontrollable, with contorted, twisted bodies and ulcerous cells seemingly eating themselves. They are terrifying beings that walk out of nightmares. 

Even the aquatic type mimics dare not live among them.

Hua Lian realized her blunder. "Oh, I haven't checked on them yet!"

Not that her feeble body could even if she wanted.

Although the majority of the planets are desolated, it was impossible for inhabitable planets to not have any biodiversity at all.

Hua Lian only knew of the stone crawlers that lived in the desert area. Rotting bodies are their favorite main cuisine, so they tend to hoard the carcasses of dead prey.

On a couple of occasions, she snatched the bodies of alien beasts from their nests. Those are free components to add to the fertilizers. Hua Lian remembered them well.

"Do you want to check now?"

Doctor Xiao, "..."

So in the end, he still needs to be thrown in?

However, the universe was merciful, and the answer was quickly offered to both of them.

A swarm of 'whales' burst out of the water one after the other, almost knocking down the hover car.

Thankfully, the moment they approached, the system's radar noticed and automatically increased the car's altitude.

Massive fishes leap out of the water as if they could fly and then slam back in with a deafening sound. The disturbance caused the wind to pick up and the water to splash in towering amounts. Despite hovering in the air, Hua Lian and Doctor Xiao have the illusion of experiencing an earthquake.

It has multiple eyeballs, and there are plenty of strange things—possibly even parasites—protruding from its skin. Its wide, open mouth was like peering into a dark, gloomy, and stuffy cave.

There's no doubt that their hover car can be swallowed with a single gulp.

And as if nature has yet to finish its demonstration, suddenly, several tentacles shot out of nowhere and entangled one of these enormous fishes. The fish struggled, twisting its body desperately, and Doctor Xiao heard sounds similar to bones crackling.

Hua Lian was affected by the disturbance of spiritual waves, throwing her body into imbalance. Her legs weaken, and she gasps for breath. The color of her face was rapidly fading into ghostly white. 

Liele, who has been reducing his existence, immediately reacted and opened the shielding system of the hover car. He added layer after another layer, nearly depleting the reserved energy stored in the hover car, and only stopped when Hua Lian managed to catch her breath.

The swarm of fish scrambled in a panic and scurried around, trying to leave this place of right and wrong.

After being dragged into the waters, there was no blood, indicating that the gigantic fish was swallowed by something even more gigantic than itself.

These towering splashes, those shattering waves, and the crashing roars—no need to dive in; Hua Lian was sure of the violent nature of the real owners of the ocean.

That being said, from the environment, the weather, and all of its being, this universe is full of violent elements.

Just taking a walk in her supposed backyard can take her out and escort her to the next reincarnation.

Hua Lian hugged Doctor Xiao without an extra thought.

"You still plan to throw me in?" Doctor Xiao asked in a helpless tone.

Clinging to him like an octopus, Hua Lian immediately expresses her loyalty. "No. No. How could that be?! Good uncle, you are so good; holding you made me feel secure."

No matter what, his mimic form was a sea turtle. If their small hover car gets swatted, Doctor Xiao can still be used as an emergency boat, and his swimming stats are sure to be of professional level.

Liele flew around Hua Lian, looking at her from head to toe. Seeing that she once again jumped back to life, he inwardly praised her resilience.

Really, not bad. She deserved to be his dear patron.

Hua Lian reached out, letting Liele perch on her finger, and brought him close to what she deemed a safety circle. 

It's okay to toss around, but her family's beautiful butterfly cannot be lost. 

Thinking of this, conquering the oceans was indeed being too greedy for Hua Lian; however, her farming depends on the start of tiny steps.

Taking Doctor Xiao like her conjoint twin, Hua Lian dragged out transparent glasses one after another and piled them onto a small hill.

These boxes contain kelps, seagrasses, red algae, and sargassum.

Liele cast a cursory glance at the doodle-looking grasses and showed little interest. He fluttered his wings, taking stock of his domain. After concluding that there was no immediate threat, he collapsed back onto Hua Lian's hair.

Compared to him, Doctor Xiao almost drooled at the sight of these aquatic spiritual plants and felt a strong relentlessness within.

"I'll put them in soluble bags, and you use your spiritual energy to throw them in."

"Shouldn't some of these be floating? No, aren't we too far from the shallow waters?"

Spiritual plants were not infected by the alienation and retained their characteristics from when they were still on the ancient blue planet. In this way, the recorded information in the stellar network about basic botany and plant ecology shouldn't be too outdated, right?

"It doesn't matter; most of these will get eaten," Hua Lian emphasized. "Not for you to eat."

Doctor Xiao mumbled. "I think it's a waste to feed spiritual plants to alien beasts."

"Whether it is plants or animals, they have to be slowly introduced to the environment so that they can adapt and others can adapt to them."

Just like her, who clearly owns a large 'flower pot' but is still unable to take root in the soil. Isn't it all because she can't adapt yet?

"How lucky they are." Doctor Xiao wanted to barbecue these fish. They are simply the natural enemies of their aquatic type mimetics. They are rebelling! Wait, wait for him to find reinforcements.
