Teams

"Hey, who do you think our team will be?" Naruto asked.

"No idea. Truthfully speaking. We are even more likely to be put into different teams, brother." Kaito really didn't know how this would work out. There was an iron rule of a four-man cell group in Konoha.

That meant 3 Genin and their Jonin teacher.

"Then hopefully I don't get mixed with you, Naruto." Sasuke overheard their conversation because he sat in front of them and had to give his own remark to it.

"Huh!?" Naruto somewhat got annoyed by that. "Who the hell even wants to be in your team? The same applies to you, Sasuke."

"At least I am useful. The only thing you can do is just charge blindly into enemy lines." Sasuke already had a general opinion about Naruto´s fighting style which based a lot on taijutsu.

But in the world of shinobi the more versatile you are, the better.

"Yes, Sasuke is right. Naruto, just shut up already. You are being noisy again." Sakura sitting right beside Sasuke immediately supported her crush.

Kaito narrowed his eyes on that remark. He felt more than annoyed by this girl. How in the world did his brother come to like her?

"How about you don't interfere in things you are not supposed to, forehead girl?"

"What did you say, Kaito!?" Sakura was immediately angered by his words and went berserk for just a second.

But when she noticed Sasuke looking at her, she became quickly quiet and blushed in shame that he saw her like that.

Kaito just sighed to that.

Naruto just got even more annoyed when he saw Sakura defending Sasuke. "You damn! You want to go another round and receive a beating or what!?" Naruto then jumped on the desk of Sasuke and glared at him with his face really close to Sasuke´s.

Since Sasuke did also glare back from being annoyed as well there was friction building up between them and one could feel the tension as if sparks flew around.

"What is going on here? Are you bickering again?", asked Ino after she came over to them.

"It´s just the normal thing. Don't worry too much about it, Ino." Kaito answered calmly while looking at those two polar opposites.

"I see...Hey, Kaito. What do you think the teams will be?" Ino asked then.

Looking at her, he smiled. "Oh, nice look. It suits you."

He saw that she had her hair short. It seemed Kaito had a clear impact on her personality.

It was noticed by him some time ago since she didn't pursue Sasuke as determined as before.

But he was still dense enough to not notice that she just seemed to have switched her focus on him.

In his mind, he also liked the changed Ino. It was such a waste of energy to pursue love while the other party clearly didn't bother about it. Only hurt feelings would stay over time.

That was another thing his brother didn't seem to get at all currently.

Ino blushed a little about his comment. "What does my look have to do with the question I asked?" She may deny it but she felt happy that he noticed.

"Nothing." Kaito grinned. "Anyway, I think we will be put together based on versatility and compatibility. Come to think, you will probably be put together with Shikamaru and Choji as the new Ino-Shika-Cho."

Hearing that Ino frowned a little. Then she sighed. "I guess you are right. But that makes you a wild card?"

Kaito was somewhat surprised by her words. "Why do you think that?"

"You are the best in the academy. You can basically fit right into every team. So I think it will be up to you to join one." Her words made sense.

"Hmm...I guess I will see that then."

"Iruka sensei is coming!" Another student saw Iruka through the window approaching the building. While he remarked that he also stood up and bumped Naruto from behind.

There it was. The virgin kiss of both of them went to another male.

Everyone that saw it had a bleak expression. Even Kaito could only sigh.

"NARUTO!!!" The first thing though that happened afterward was a true beating by all the girls that liked Sasuke.

"Brother! Help!!"

"That´s on you....", deadpanned Kaito and just ignored it.

A short while later Iruka came into class and everyone was sitting on their own seats.

Looking around Iruka fixed his gaze shortly at Naruto that had a bunch of bruises all over his face now. His expression was of confusion for a moment.

"Alright, today I am going to announce your teams. Listen carefully." With those words, he proceeded to name the teams.

"Nooooo! Why!?" Naruto shouted and clearly didn't want to be put in one team with Sasuke. He was happy to have Sakura in the team but not about Sasuke. Sasuke, on the other hand, was not happy to have either a simpleton nor a stalker on his team. So Team 7 didn't change at all.

The other teams were also very much the same. There was only something weird that Kaito didn't expect. So he raised his hand to ask. "Uhm, sensei. What about me?" It was asked because he was in no team whatsoever.

"Your case is a little special. So I wanted to do this last. Both of your team members are not yet in Konoha. It will take a while. For now, you are going to support Team 7 as an auxiliary fifth man."

"Huh? I am put into a team that is not from this academy? What is this?" Kaito was more than surprised.

"Yep, your versatility is that high. So the third put you into a special team that is consisting of special individuals. You will know what that means when your teammates arrive." Truth be told not even Iruka had any pieces of information on that besides it being handled like that.

Kaito sighed. He wondered what that old geezer is up to. Was this just some act to put him with his brother or are there really team members arriving soon that he was not aware of? "Well, alright. So I will be put into Team 7 for a while then. Fine by me."

Naruto was grinning from one ear to the other and Sasuke was also smiling. Sakura, on the other hand, was not sure what to think about this.

Iruka just nodded to him. "Your respective Jonin will come by from now on and pick you up. Just wait here until they get you. And remember. Don't even try to slack off. From here onwards you should always aim to become better."

Then he left and let all of them wait for the Jonin.
