After Yao asked herself that question, her mind was decided almost immediately, with her venturing to visit her closest confidant so that she could discuss her trip with him.
She opened a portal, with it taking her before a realm filled to the brim with Chi, a dimension where life energy envelopes it completely.
However, instead of relishing in the dimension that had pristine effects such as slowing aging or healing fatal wounds, Yao merely found herself getting irritated.
"Oogway! I know that you can sense me! Stop hiding away like a peeping turtle!"
In response to her outburst, the energy in the dimension suddenly found itself condensing into Sakura Petals, after which they turned into a tortoise, one that merely smiled at Yao.
"Now, why so mean? If you always be so angry, your wrinkles will begin to show." Oogway responded in his sagely tone.
"Bastard. Something told me I shouldn't have shown you the Kung Fu Panda movies in my memories when you were younger." Yao responded while Oogway floated onto the ground.
Yao lost her fake anger and merely smiled, as she viewed the turtle before her as the closest thing to her own child.
The four creatures that she had begun using as a way to test her ability to train them into defenders of the world had each evolved into their own unique and distinct creatures.
The Serpent, the youngest of the four, had evolved into something reminiscent of the World Serpent.
He possessed the unique ability to manipulate his size, with even Yao not knowing what his limit was when utilizing it.
There was also his control over poisons and water, which both seemed absolute in nature.
And so, Yao felt it was nearly obvious to name him after the infamous snake Jörmungandr.
The Wolf, the next youngest, didn't change his appearance too much, though he did grow to around the size of a house.
He gained the ability to manipulate fire, with the heat able to grow to temperatures that seemed reminiscent of the surface of the Sun.
Once again, Yao felt that the naming sense was obvious, choosing to name him Fenrir.
After those two was Oogway, the child she felt was most similar to her.
Instead of a natural ability, he evolved into becoming a tortoise.
From a young age, he seemed interested in entertaining things, which caused Yao to show him many animated movies like Kung Fu Panda when he was young, with her merely stated that they were stories she watched occur in alternate dimensions.
However, his aptitude for magic and chi seemed to be something that surpassed even the greatest of geniuses, with him consuming knowledge at an astonishing rate.
But, after learning for a long time in Kamar Taj and becoming a Master of the Mystic Arts, he chose to travel the world and eventually created his own Sage Land and allowed the smaller summoning animals of other peaceful clans to join him.
And though Yao decided to name him after the peaceful tortoise, he seemed to be inspired to become like him, as he became a stern advocate for peace and prosperity for the world.
He also was the only one of her children who interacted with the world greatly, with his Sage Land becoming the Summoning Animals for many over the years.
It was due to these reasons that she decided to consult him on the matter of traveling the world.
Yao's oldest child, the lizard, evolved into becoming a dragon, the peak of powerful creatures in many worlds.
And it seemed that she was blessed with the gifts her race usually held, with her possessing near infinite innate mana and seemed to grow stronger with age.
She was the strongest of Yao's children, while she was also the one to intervene the least, as she felt the world shouldn't be affected by their presence, something that she and her brother Fenrir disagreed with.
Even Yao had trouble finding her when she wished not to be found, though she merely respected her daughter's space and kept her distance.
"What brought you here, Mother?" Oogway asked.
"I'm here to inquire about the current outside world. It's been a few decades since I peered into the timeline, and even further since I physically traveled into it. If you had to describe the current state of the world, how would you?" Yao asked.
"Honestly, I can't understand what Hagoromo was thinking when he spread chakra to humanity. While some places in the world seem to be devoid of any large amounts of conflict, like the capital cities of the nations, the small clans that make up a majority of the world are extremely dangerous. Everywhere you turn you can find Clans being hired against each other, leading many wars to destroy the majority of the peace that the world could hope to have. And the most ironic fact is that the Uchiha and Senju, Hagoromo's direct descendants, hate each other more than anything." Oogway finished, with him only sighing as he sat down while Yao joined her son.
"He thought that humanity would be able to understand each other. While naive and foolish, it's quite admirable to attempt it. But, that's beside the point of why I came here. Could I entrust Kamar Taj to you while I travel on my journey?" Yao asked her son with a smile.
Oogway, rather than answering, simply tapped his staff onto the ground, sending both he and Yao into the Land of Fire.
"Enjoy your vacation, Mother. You deserve it greatly. I hope you find yourself a pleasurable journey." Oogways said before he morphed into sakura petals and disappeared into the wind, leaving Yao to overlook a river nearby.
"Perhaps I will." Yao mumbled before turning her head as she heard people talking.
"-BASTARD!!"
Yao teleported to where she head the voices, with her seeing two boys playing over a river as they threw stones at each other.
"Stop yelling Madara! You're gonna hurt my ears!" The other boy yelled back at her.
Yao's faced unknowingly smiled as she saw two of this worlds most important characters appear before her.
