Chapter 32: Sanctum Sanctorum

Inside of one of the most beautiful buildings in Kamar Taj, a woman on pristine power could be seen floating in the air, casually reading a book whilst also taking sips of her tea.

The woman, who many would attribute to being beautiful even with her lack of hair, was calmly focused on the book, making many think that it would be a book that spoke of spells that possessed unbridled mystical might.

"I wonder when will the Princess learn that her fiance is being unfaithful. God, those nobles of the Land of Earth need to release that man so that he can write the next book already. I don't wish to intervene, but I will for my Novels!"

The woman, who possessed the illustrious title of Sorcerer Supreme and could be perceived by many to be the epitome of wisdom and magical excellence, sadly sat wasting her time on a second-rate novel.

After Yao sighed and placed her novel down, she stood and stretched before transforming her appearance into her pristine golden robes and exiting the room.

Yao ventured outside of her building, where a mystical sight of unparalleled proportions could be seen.

From the hundreds of students who could be seen training in the different parts of the area, to the many portals being opened to show sorcerers either embarking on their missions or journeys or returning from them.

The mystical sight brought an unknown sense of pride to Yao, as she smiled softly upon seeing the completion of her life's work.

And it seems the feeling was reciprocated, as the students who saw Yao could only look at her with wonder and praise, the same sight that one would give their leader.

The title of Sorcerer Supreme was one that many had come to respect greatly over the years, with her saving the world from countless dangers that many didn't even know were there.

From Elderlitch Monsters that had destroyed prior planes, to alien races that seemed to be expansionist and simply wished to rule over their world.

Yao had faced the horrors of the world so that humanity didn't have to, an unseen guardian that protected the world only from certain death, yet she refrained from intervening in the affairs of the outside world.

'Honestly, who the hell wants to take over the world and rule over it? I mean, your literally either someone who just has had power go to their head and decided to screw the world, or you're a fool who just wants more paperwork to deal with.' Yao had thought in the past.

And Yao could look back on countless times that a sorcerer under Kamar Taj decided to go rouge and attempt to rule the Shinobi World, with her forseeing said futures and ending the threat of those sorcerers as soon as they defected from the Magical Land and began their heinous plan.

Speaking of Kamar Taj, Yao had chosen to change the structure of the prestigious organization over the years, with the students she guided becoming great or prestigious sorcerers on their own.

Firstly, there was the Assault Division of Kamar Taj, with her deciding to dub them as her own 'Gotei 13' in honor of an anime she loved greatly before her transmigration.

The group's primary job was to either attack or venture into unknown dimensions that had either attacked the Shinobi World or seemed to be preparing to do so.

Also, Yao found it quite amusing that over the years, she had ended up with several Sorcerers who seemed reminiscent of the Captains in the anime.

There is also the Research Division, whose job is to study, analyze, synthesize, and compound spells.

The group had created a variety of new spells, with some being weaker versions of existing spells or conjoined spells that could maintain their strength.

The final group was the Defense Division, with this being the division that held the majority of the Masters of the Mystic Arts.

They were held in each of the Sanctums across the world, with the 6 of them being smaller versions of the Sanctum Sanctorum that were connected to each other through Spacial Magic, with each headed by a respective Master who honed their power in a single fundamental aspect of magic.

The array created through the use of these Sanctums created a shield, one that not only made the Shinobi World nearly unseen by the dark forces hunting it but also created a shield to guard against them.

And as Yao continued her long walk around Kamar Taj, she realized something.

"When was the last time I took a look at the outside world personally?"
