Chapter 26: Inform

"I am the Sorcerer Supreme of our World. The Guardian who protects it from unseen and otherworldly threats." Catherine spoke to Hamura.

"What did you do to my brother?" Hamura demanded, paying no attention to Catherine's title of introduction.

"I gave him the Ten-Tails, the being that I fought, letting him access its power. But it is taking quite a while for him to fully assimilate it. Perhaps he needs help?" Catherine said, the last part seems to be to herself while she cast a spell, sending green energy into Hagoromo, with him quickly looking better before he awoke.

Hagoromo awoke and immediately grew combat-ready as he gained hostility towards Catherine due to him last remembering her sending something into his body.

"Withdraw the hostility child, there is no need for that. If I had any malicious intent towards you, then you would already be deceased." Catherine said as she casually took another sip of her tea.

"Who are you?" Hagoromo asked with him still being cautious as he sat beside his brother.

"I'm growing quite tired of constantly introducing myself. I am the Sorcerer Supreme, Guardian of our world, and protector from unseen threats. It's a pleasure to meet you, young man." Catherine said as he sipped from her tea again.

"Before you bombard me with questions, such as 'Why did you save us?' or 'What do you want from us?' think back on how easily I defeated the Ten-Tails. What could I possibly need from the two of you?" Catherine asked rhetorically while sipping once more from her tea as she felt their suspicions were needed in the situation.

The two thought about it and realized that Catherine was correct, seeing as how easily and quickly she dispatched the Ten-Tails.

"Now that you two have dispelled your illusion of me having ulterior motives, I can speak with you about the reasoning behind me summoning you." Catherine said after she noticed their hostility lessening.

"Now that you mention it, why did you bring us here, Lady Sorcerer Supreme?" Hagoromo asked upon realizing the situation.

"Well, I brought you both here to explain to you the actions of your Mother as well as the enemy that she was preparing for." Catherine said, with her using her mana to construct a hologram of Kaguya from the energy.

"Allow me to introduce the Otsutsuki named Kaguya. An prominent member of the branch family of the Otsutsuki Clan, an alien species that drains the life from Worlds to enhance their own strength. They are monsters in sheep skin, but their power is unparralled in many worlds.

Your Mother was sent on a mission to gain the Chakra Fruit from this world and would be used as a sacrifice for it. It seems she disapproved of being a sacrifice, causing her to to betray her partner she came with and use him to form the God Tree.

However, after finding love and being betrayed, she consumed the fruit that the God Tree beared and became corrupted by it's power. Her fear and corruption lead to her creating the army of White Zetsu and preparing for the battle with them, as well as the desire to regain the Chakra she gave to you two.

I tell you both all of this as a precaution. That the Otsutsuki Clan shall eventually come to our planet. And as your Mother's children, I expect you two to solve the problem your Mother brought here. And if your method harms humanity intentionally..." Catherine left the last part unsaid as she sipped from her tea once more, but the brothers understood the implications.

"Now that I've explained that, you two can go on your merry way." Catherine said with a smile, though Hagoromo quickly reacted as he asked

"Will we meet you again?"

Catherine simply sent them away, with the brothers hearing her voice sound from all around them as it said

"Perhaps."

The two could only reappear where they previously were as they reeled from the massive implications of what the Sorcerer Supreme had told them.
