Chapter 25: Ten-Tails

Catherine utilized her new power mastery over Time in a multitude of ways.

The first was her using it to lengthen the time in which she studied the knowledge of Agamotto, with her learning and mastery over Magic reaching the level of an actual Sorcerer Supreme, and showing no signs of stopping.

The second was her using it to monitor the timeline, specifically the actions of Kaguya and any major moves she made.

Though she couldn't monitor her on a repetitive basis, as someone of Kaguya's strength would detect the issues with Time, she was able to discreetly see what Kaguya was doing in any of her major actions.

In regards to Kamar Taj, Catherine could say it had grown into a powerful force that she could use to deal with weaker threats without the need for her to deal with them herself.

And while Dimensional threats weren't an everyday commodity, they still were quite frequent in regards to the occasional demon.

Catherine had also begun creating artifacts for her Masters to use whenever they attained that rank.

When Catherine created the Sling Ring for Sorcerers, she imbued them with a slight protection ward that would keep them immune from its effects while they were dispatched on missions.

She also did this due to her remaining cautiousness toward Kaguya and not knowing if she was strong enough to deal with her.

Everything stayed the same as Kaguya learned to love humans before becoming a concubine to Tenji, after which she was forced to kill people of the Land Of That making Tenji decide to kill her for peace and in fear of her power.

She then ate the God Fruit and ended all human wars, making many view her as a deity of some sort and praise her.

However, her formerly kind actions quickly changed into a malicious kind as she cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi. The power of the Jutsu was strong, with it even putting the barriers Catherine had created to the test as they were just barely able to protect the inhabitants from it.

Kaguya later gave birth to her two sons, after which she raised them until they found out about the true reason for the God Tree and Kaguya wishing to reclaim all chakras. The corruption of Kaguya led to her combining herself with the God Tree and becoming the so-called Goddess.

Catherine watched as the former Goddess became viewed as a Demon by the people as she began turning them into White Zetsu to create her army.

Truthfully, Catherine pitied the woman, someone who fought against her Clan for her new home, seemingly got corrupted, and was betrayed by her two children.

However, Catherine didn't feel justified in the behavior of the woman, as she put her duties as the Guardian of the World surpassed her personal feelings.

Catherine had spoken with the other leaders of the Sage Clans about this, with it being decided that Gamamaru would be the one to interact with the children of Kaguya and help them see the truth of her ways.

Eventually, Kaguya grew to only wish for all of the Chakra in the world to belong to her, causing her to even turn against her sons whom she loved the most.

Catherine watched as Kaguya assimilated herself with the God Tree and transformed into the 10 Tails as she prepared to battle against Hagoromo and Hamura.

Catherine watched on, her intent on not getting involved in the battle due to her cautiousness about fate.

However, when she saw that innocent humans were about to suffer due to the actions of the three, she refused to remain impartial as it would go against everything she stood for.

'I can't watch innocent people suffer because of people like them, I know that I could not get involved a great deal during the events before this, but fate should not limit me since Kaguya would be sealed either way.' Catherine thought as she opened a portal directly to where the battle was taking place.

She conjured a shield to block the after-effects of the attacks they threw, with her looking at the beast with dark eyes.

"I see." Catherine said as she finally got her first look at the Otsutsuki who could be attributed as the origin of the problems in the world.

When she looked at the two, she saw that the God Tree seemed to possess a soul of its own, with it corrupting Kaguya as she looked at the new being.

Catherine charged at the monster, with her finally showcasing the magical prowess that she had attained after many years of practice.

Catherine's appearance surprised the two brothers, as they didn't know who she was or why she possessed such great strength.

"I know that you two may have questions about my identity, and that will be answered in due time. But for now, aid me in preventing the destruction caused by the Ten-Tails." Catherine said as she then teleported above the beast.

Catherine sent a massive bolt of electricity at the monster, it turned its attention to her as it gathered a monstrous amount of chakra into its mouth.

Catherine watched this with an unamused gaze as the Tailed Beast Bomb was shot at her, with Catherine opening a portal and sending the attack right back at the Ten-Tails.

She then created hundreds of clones of herself around it before they each bound the Ten-Tails with chains made up of Eldritch energy.

She then began to weave a massive amount of magic that tapped into the very fundamental forces, as she prepared to seal Kaguya.

She felt Fate begin to seep into her spell in an attempt to dispel it, seemingly wishing for Hagoromo to absorb the Ten-Tails before it is sealed.

'It seems I'll need to allow it for now.' Catherine thought as she sighed before she changed her spell into something similar to its original variation.

"I banish Thy Beast of Chakra to the Son of The One it Corrupts!" Catherine said as she sent the chakra of the Ten-Tails into the body of Hagoromo while it's husk went into the moon in a similar manner to Chibaku Tensei.

Afterward, she floated down to the brothers, with Hagoromo undergoing a transformation as the new Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails, while Hamura stared at Catherine with caution and hostility.

Catherine simply smiled at this as she waved her hand, bringing herself and the brothers into a room as she sat down and drank her tea.

"Now, allow me to introduce myself."
