The following weeks were a whirlwind for Kaiden Mizuno. Adjusting to his new life had been challenging enough, but raising an infant Naruto added a level of chaos he never anticipated.

Naruto, it turned out, was a loud baby. His cries echoed through the small house, waking Kaiden at odd hours and summoning concerned villagers to his doorstep. Kaiden did his best to calm their suspicions, weaving a hasty tale about being entrusted with the child by a distant traveler. It wasn't entirely untrue, but it wasn't the full story either.

"Hungry again?" Kaiden muttered one evening, balancing Naruto in one arm while stirring a pot of fish stew with the other. The baby cooed in response, his chubby hands reaching for Kaiden's sleeve.

Despite the sleepless nights and constant demands, Kaiden found himself growing attached to the child. Naruto's wide, innocent eyes and infectious giggles softened the edges of his Pessimistic heart.

"It's like unlocking DLC," Kaiden mused, though the stakes were far greater than a game.

The Land of Waves itself was quiet, but Kaiden couldn't shake the knowledge of what lay beyond its borders. The ninja world was dangerous, and he had to prepare not only for himself but for Naruto. The boy's future, after all, was marked with unimaginable challenges.

Kaiden began training himself. Using the fishing rod, he experimented with summoning creatures from the system. He quickly realized that while the aquarium creatures were beautiful and magical, they could also be powerful. One evening, he managed to catch an Amp eel, a sleek, eel-like creature that pulsed with electricity with luminous bulbs.

"Okay, no touching that one," he said, nursing a small burn on his hand.

With each new creature, Kaiden learned how to harness their abilities. The Abyssal Barracuda became a defensive ally, its sharp fins forming a barrier when it swam in circles. The Starburst Anemone emitted bursts of light, blinding attackers. These creatures weren't just additions to his aquarium—they were tools for survival.

One fateful morning, Kaiden's quiet training was interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching his home. He turned to see a group of rough-looking men—mercenaries, by the looks of it.

"Well, well," one of them sneered, his eyes narrowing at Kaiden. "You're the outsider who's been hoarding all the fish, aren't you?"

Kaiden's heart sank. He had tried to keep a low profile, but the unique fish from his aquarium had attracted attention.

"I'm just a fisherman," Kaiden said evenly, stepping in front of the doorway where Naruto slept.

The leader of the group stepped forward, brandishing a knife. "You've been cutting into our profits. Time for you to share your catch... or else."

Kaiden gripped his fishing rod tightly. The glowing runes flared to life as he activated the system. Behind him, the aquarium shimmered, and a dimensional vortex appeared in the water.

"Last warning," Kaiden said, his voice calm but steely.

The mercenaries laughed, but their amusement quickly turned to fear as a dim , Rock Puncher emerged from the vortex. The creature clacked its massive blunt extremities, the extremities reflecting in the sunlight.

The mercenaries stumbled back, realizing they were outmatched.

"This isn't over," the leader spat before retreating with his men.

As the threat disappeared, Kaiden let out a shaky breath. The Rock puncher bumped its claws once before retreating into the aquarium.

Naruto stirred from his nap, babbling happily as Kaiden walked back inside.

"Guess I'm going to need stronger defenses," Kaiden muttered.

That night, as he sat by the fireplace with Naruto in his arms, Kaiden gazed into the aquarium. The creatures inside swam peacefully, their glow casting soft patterns on the walls.

"This world's going to come for you someday," he said softly, brushing a finger against Naruto's cheek. "But I'll make sure you're ready. We both will."

The soft gurgle of water and the baby's quiet breathing were his only response, but for the first time in weeks, Kaiden felt a flicker of hope.
