Chapter 58 : Competition..

After his fight with rock lee was over, Kai walked back to where he previously was seated, while he was walking he could feel that some people were staring at him but he chooses to ignore it because he probably already guess who it was.

After he sat back with both of his friends, he thought about the tradition that he and rock lee needed to complete after fighting each other.

He didn't know when he was going to do the sign of reconciliation that was another part of the sign of confrontation that he and rock lee did at the start of combat as a part of tradition of the fight between them.

He wast interested and wanted to know what they needed to do when one of the opponents wasn't able to complete the ritual because of what happened during the match.

Because he was not the only one who's match ended with one of the side wasn't able to complete the other end of the ritual.

After all what he learned about people from this village was they really valued their ancestors and what came down from them, either it was their teaching or the tradition that passed down between generations, even something abstract like the hate that their ancestors felt for something can be passed down to many generations.

After coming out of his thoughts and ready to watch the next match after him he feels an intense stare that is really close to him, looking slightly at the source he saw Kanna face that was really close to him that almost made him fall from his seat.

"You are too close, Kanna." Kai shoves Kanna face back that were too close to his comfort.

"Kai, how can you become so much stronger since last time we did hand to hand sparring?"

"I was training with my father for the past few weeks."

Feeling that Kanna was still staring at him, Kai doesn't know how to explain more to this girl who always seems to know he was not telling the full story about something.

He was also asked the same question the first time his new speed was known, which at that time really shocked the whole class because of it and he didn't know what the reason that he going to give when someone was asked about the increased in his speed that really abnormal.

Because of the difference in his speed since the last time they saw him running was really big, that also does not include the fact that he is already increasing the mass from the bracelet that he uses in his legs to slow him down from his actual speed.

He also cannot just keep increasing the weight in his legs so he can back to his previous speed because it going to become to heavy to even lift his legs from the ground.

At the end of the day he told them about his bracelet that some of them already know he always wearing it on his legs.

That day he uses his bracelet as an excuse to their questions about his increase in his speed.

He explained to them that he always uses weight that slows him down from his original speed and the reason for his increase in speed was because he removed most of the weight from it.

Because no one knows how much weight his bracelet currently has, they cannot tell if he was telling the truth or not, also most of the people he knows are already familiar with the bracelet that he uses that can be used to increase weight.

Except Kanna who seems suspicious about the explanation that he gave, he also thought Toka might have the same suspicious but never want to be bother by it.

Fortunately the new power that he just got was very hard for someone to take notice, maybe like Kanna they only thought he was a lot stronger which is easy to explain because part of it was because of his training with his father.

"Hmmhp…, I know you only told a little part of it to me."

"Reaction speed."

Hearing Toka who was silent since the beginning of the competition was revealing about part of his new power very lightly make Kai little speechless about this one friend of his who seems to be better to just keep his silence.

"I'm telling the truth, part of it was because of training with my father in the past few weeks."

Kai continues his sentence in the secret code that they usually use because he doesn't want someone else to hear about his next sentence and get suspicious about him.

'Sorry I can't tell you two about another part of it, the same as the last time my speed was increased.'

After he explained to them about the secret that he needed to keep, they continued to watch the next match until Kanna was the last one in his class who needed to compete with another woman, where she was able to get her hard earned victory and continue to the next round.

The competition kept going where he and Toka were able to beat their next opponent and unfortunately Kanna was stopped in this round because she was facing tenten who's very skilled in ninja tools who keeps preventing Kanna from using his ninjutsu who still need quite a long time to cast.
