As soon as we reached close to the battlefield, captain Kou yelled "Formation B". The formation was the most basic one for a new team. It was taught to us during our academy days.

The formation is of diamond form, with the ninja having better sensory abilities at the front, followed by the one in command, 2 ninjas specialising in combat on his left and right and finally an all rounder ninja at the rear.

For our team it was Ayane at the front followed by Captain Kou, then Shisui and I on his left and right side respectively, and finally Akane gaurding our backs and providing us support from the back.

As we continued in this formation, we were greeted with a barrage of kunais and shurikens. We dodged what we could and parried the rest, as soon as Ayane got a moment to concentrate, she made the sheep hand sign and after only a few seconds later looked in the direction from where the attack came and said "There are 10 enemy ninjas in that direction and 5 more spread to our sides, almost 150 metres away from us. Judging from their level of chakra they appear to be chunins."

"We can't let them surround us, so spread out in the ursa major arc formation. I will be taking on the 10 chunins, you guys take out the rest." He said almost instantly after getting the information from Ayane. 'His judgement speed is incredible.'

But there was a doubt in my mind. 'How did we come to know about them only after they attacked us. Ayane is actually a skilled sensor, So she should have been able to know their position long before they actually attacked.

It could mean only one thing, It is aTRA--'

"IT'S A TRAP" Shisui beat me to it and yelled at our fleeting captain who turned back immediately.

"What do you mea--" Captain asked but Immediately caught on to the situation.

I explained the matter to the pair of twins as they both looked confused

"There has to be a few jonins among them, and a sensor, since Ayane was only able to find them after they had attacked, and the chunins among them must also be from a specialised division, considering they were able to hide their chakra signatures to such an extent." I said in a single breath.

Ayane and Akane looked at me with shocked expressions, which later turned to fear and worry. Whereas Shisui and Captain who already knew about this was extremely quiet. I could tell just from looking at his face and demeanour that he was trying to think about a way out of this situation but to no gain.

Suddenly, we all sensed chakra or rather an incredible amount of killing intent flaring from the enemy's direction. At this point we all knew that there was at least one elite jonin among our attackers.

Ayane tried to sense the enemy again and quickly found and divulged the information that there was one elite jonin and 2 mid-level jonins on the enemy's side.

"I will fight the jonins" Captain said resolutely. "You guys need to fight off all of the chunins yourselves."

All of us immediately got into our battle positions and rushed out, since the enemy was already visible to us.

Shisui opened his sharingan and took out his Tonto, Akane and Ayane took out 2 kunais, one in each hand.

Whereas I had unsheathed my katana and augmented my body and blade in a very thin layer of chakra, I am not going to use any ninjutsus because while fighting multiple enemies at once, one has to keep their level of chakra in mind.

Not to mention, my fighting style is not very different from this, Since the hatake clan sword technique focuses on effectiveness rather than destructiveness by using an A or S rank jutsu.

Since I could now somewhat control the electricity in my body, I started to increase the speed at which the information flows to my brain, increasing my perception.....It felt like things were moving a lot slower than before. Why? Because there was a sword just inches away from slicing my head.

However, my mind was clear, I stepped slightly to my left and bended backwards in one fluid motion. Although I survived the attack, it left a cut on my right cheek.

But this was my time to attack. I was about to fall from the tree branch but I could still go for a single attack. I increased the amount of chakra coating my Katana, extending the length and width but still maintaining it's sharpness.

The attack landed and left a huge cut on the chunin's chest. A huge amount of blood gushed out of his wound, dying my clothes red. He wasn't dead yet but certainly he didn't have much time left.

This was my first time killing someone personally, but I didn't feel sad, guilty or anything of that sort. Instead...my entire body was filled with an unspeakable exhilaration. I couldn't find an explanation for this, it was the first time I had felt this way. I felt....Alive.

A part of me I didn't even knew existed came out to the surface.

I didn't even wait to get a proper footing after landing on the ground, I rushed out to the chunin closest to me, with killing intent oozing out of me.

But suddenly my body contorted in a weird angle. I felt incredible pain coming from my left side.

"AAhhhhh" I screamed loudly. The pain was just that much.

I flew off into a completely different direction and went through 2-3 trees before coming to a stop after hitting a rock. When I balanced myself and tried to stand up on my feet, I saw my left arm bent into a completely different shape but that wasn't what garnered my attention. It was the assailant with his face filled with anger, his chakra getting more and more out of control and pressing down on my body.

That was the difference in a genin and jonin. I couldn't even stand up straight in his presence. All the excitement I had felt just moments ago vanished and was replaced by complete fear. It was getting slapped and being brought back to reality.

"YOU KILLED KAZUMA YOU FUCKER!!!! HOW DARE YOU KILL MY BROTHER!!"

He lost it and rushed towards me at blinding speed. There were way too many holes in his defence. I moved instinctively and unintentionally started using my chakra completely unrestrained.

I burnt through most of my chakra while dodging his frontal assault. I increased the amount of electricity coursing through my entire body and it was torturing. In fact it felt like my insides were slowly burning. It felt like my brain was getting fried due to the increase in the information processing.

But I had to do this to survive this battle.

I ducked under his arm and used my feet to balance my feet and get behind him.

His eyes shrank when I dodged his attack and prepared an attack.

I decided to put my all into this attack which might be my last one int his fight. I concentrated the lightning in my katana, making it even more deadly. The white light on the katana shone brightly nearing his heart.

However he wasn't called a jonin for nothing. He turned back deflected my attack and punched me.

It felt like I got hit by a truck. I could already tell that by the amount of damage my body had taken, I would be back to the infirmary for a few weeks if not a month.

I had fractured nose and cheek bones and as I crashed heavily against a tree. My vision turned blurry and I could feel my consciousness slowly fading away.

I tried to ignore the pain in my body and decided to stand once again, however I was just sitting on the ground barely able to support myself, I saw the Iwa Jonin walking towards me. 'Is this the end? Seriously? After getting reincarnated for just a day, I am already getting killed.' I was on the verge of crying.

But just as he was walking towards me, I saw a figure jumping at him, stabbing his heart through his back. He was wearing a jonin vest and had scarlet red eyes. He was none other than Captain Kou.

He was looking at me with look of acknowledgment

As soon as I saw that, I relaxed and all of the fatigue caught up and I passed out. I didn't even know if anyone else survived the attack. But al least I had survived, I had accomplished my goal.
