Training with Minato

"That's cheating you know Rei."

I turned around at the voice that came from behind.

Being aware of his presence there for a while I wasn't surprised much.

"Using ninjutsu against Guy like that." He said playfully as he came near me.

I shrugged my shoulder as I smiled knowing full well Kakashi was just joking.

"Well I had to win, can't just lose to the new member of our team now can I? .."

"..I am sure you would do the same."

He nodded as he stood near the fallen Guy thinking of something.

"He is starting to get stronger." He said in somewhat serious tone.

I nodded knowing if Guy continued to train like he was doing now he wouldn't be an easy opponent in the future.

"What are you doing here though."

I shifted my gaze towards Kakashi curious to know why he came.

"Ah! I almost forgot seeing you guys fight, Minato Sensei asked our team to gather which includes him now as well, he said as he pointed towards Guy."

"Hmm who is going to carry him though?"

We both stared at each other in silence as I uttered those words.

"Ugh! Fine I will carry him since you are injured." Kakashi said in annoyance after a while and held the passed out Guy's collar as he started dragging him.

I chuckled and followed after him.

"Oh you guys are finally here, you made me wait for quite a while."

Minato smiled as we walked to our usual meeting place, an empty ground in konhoa for ninja's to train.

Guy had also woken up on the way as Kakashi had dropped him a few times while dragging him.

"Its been a while kids."

"Its been a while sensei."

Me and Kakashi smiled as we greeted him, genuinely happy to see him in good health.

Guy looked nervous at first but soon calmed down as he saw how chill Minato was.

"Nice to meet you Minato Sensei, I am Might Guy."

"Haha it looks like you guys already know each other well. Welcome to the team Guy."

He laughed as he looked at the scratches on our faces.

"With Guy you guys will be a three man squad from now on, in the upcoming missions you will have to work together as a team. Since as a ninja it is rare to fight alone you need to learn how to fight properly in a team and sync your battle style to suit that. So we are going to be training our teamwork with our individual battle capabilities from now on."

I could feel the seriousness in his voice as he started explaining to us the importance of teamwork in a ninja battle, both Kakashi and Guy were also focused on Minato's words.

It looks like we might be going into a battle sooner or later.

Minato started teaching us battle tactics and things we had to keep in mind like the state of teammates, the resources and weapons we had not just on us but our teammates as well, the importance of rations and medical supplies.

After that we three worked together in a team as we tried to fight Minato and ofcourse we were beaten into the ground.

With tired faces we sat on the ground and ate some food that Minato brought for us.

After we were done eating Minato gathered us again and spoke.

"Rei your chakra control is quite good you should start learning other ninjutsu as soon as possible. Kakashi and Guy you need to work harder on your current techniques as well."

In reality Minato thought that Rei's chakra control was at monstrous level, he would always last the longest in their spars. Not to mention his jutsu timing was impeccable.

He was better than most chunins at managing his chakra, although he already knew genjutsu quite well it would be for the better if had some other cards up his sleeve as well.

"Then can I learn the flying thunder raijin yet?" Rei asked curiously.

"Not yet Rei unfortunately your chakra pool is still quite low." Minato spoke thoughtfully.

He knew Rei was a genius as he was already good at fuinjutsu but the chakra drain from flying thunder was something he could not handle currently. It was better for him to focus on learning other low level ninjutsu.

Rei nodded as he agreed with Minato.

"Don't worry i will teach it to you when you are ready." Minato smiled trying to cheer him up.

"Thank you sensei I will wait." Rei smiled as well as he decided to focus on learning some fire style jutsu and improving his genjutsu.

Minato continued to train them in similar fashion everyday.

He helped Rei and Kakashi learn some new jutsu and also guided them on taijutsu which was specifically helpful for Guy.

While Rei and Kakashi were geniuses who learned new jutsu easily.

Guy also improved tremendously under Minato whose taijutsu skills were one of the best in Konoha.

Just like that time passed by.
