The Road Ahead

Rei already had a destination in his mind as he left the ramen shop, it was the Kurama clan's ninja library.

He had gained access it after he passed the academy and became an official ninja but he didn't really have the time to check it out due to his busy schedule with Minato. Although he wanted to go there and spend the whole of his time there, he couldn't just dismiss Minato who had taken out time from his busy schedule for him.

Now was the perfect time to go there since Minato was busy with his ninja missions and won't be able to entertain him for a while.

He recalled how surprised and excited the Kurama clan's chief, his son and the other members of their clan were when they heard the news that he graduated from the academy in a month.

They practically came running over to their house to congratulate him for being a genius and a beacon of hope for their clan and praised his mother for having such a wonderful son.

Even Miso was surprised and was filled with pride when she heard the news and saw the clan members praising her son.

They were also very friendly telling Rei to come to them if he needed anything.

Seeing his genius the clan chief basically allowed him access to the whole Kurama clan's ninja library as per his request which Rei was the most happy about.

As he walked towards the library he thought back to the man named Jiraya, unlike how he looked he was the most insightful and experienced man he had met after coming to this world or at least someone he had proper talk with, those two old men really gave a bad vibe to him (Hiruzen and Danzo).

It really was a shame that his personality was mostly of a pervert.

Rei greeted the librarian as he entered the library who nodded and smiled as he recognised who Rei was, the clan chief had specifically told him to help the little kid in whatever way possible which he was most happy to do for the chief.

Rei took a stroll through the library and took a look at the available jutsu and info books for all ninja levels from genin to jonin.

Most of the jutsu available here were genjutsu from basic to advanced.

There were also a few books on how to effectively utilise the genjutsu, after just reading the initial requirements for using a genjutsu Rei exclaimed as realised something, no wonder the clan doesn't have any noteworthy ninja, with such strict requirements it would be hard to utilise genjutsu in battle not to mention master it.

Using genjutsu required a very precise chakra control in order to cast it which was pretty hard for even geniuses to do mid battle not to mention for the normal ninjas, they can just keep dreaming about being a genjutsu expert.

It was also really easy to break out of the genjutsu as long as one realised that they were in it, making it even harder to utilise genjutsu in battle. Moreover if the caster didn't have enough intelligence to keep his opponent fooled for at least a few seconds, using genjutsu was basically a waste of time and chakra.

A little bit of chakra reboot or any kind of external stimuli would easily break a genjutsu.

Since even Minato or Jiraya didn't know of any famous ninja from Kurama clan Rei had guessed that his clan was just a third rate clan in the village but after knowing how hard it was to use genjutsu it was just a joke to call themselves genjutsu specialist clan without any highly qualified genjutsu users.

Rei even started doubting if he should go down this dark whole of genjutsu specialization that he was thinking about.

But he didn't have much of a choice in this matter really, from what he knew there was something called chakra natures and his chakra nature was a yin type chakra release which was specifically suited for using genjutsu, not to mention he also had the omce in a generation Kurama clan bloodline which amplified the effects of genjutsu, it would be really great if he could utilise the power of his bloodline properly as he would be able to utilise genjutsu of even higher levels.

So the matter was decided for him the moment he started this new life, if couldn't utilise his gifts properly then it would all be his fault for being weak.

'It wouldn't to half-heartedly learn something, if i am going to do it i must give it my best.'

Rei sighed as he made up his mind and decided to master the art of genjutsu and show this world the miracles this art in his hands could do.

He picked up some books he needed to learn genjutsu and some basic genjutsu scrolls to start his learning.

'It seems this will take a long time to learn even for me, mastering it probably won't be possible in a short time as well.'

Now he would have to give his time equally to both physical training and genjutsu training not to mention he would still need to practice other jutsu as well.

As he started to walk out of the library after deciding on his future path a peculiar book's cover attracted his attention its title was also pretty attention seeking as well.

He pulled out the book with the red cover and read the title out loud.

"The Misfortune of the Kurama blood."
