Knowing each other better?

"You are going to join our team?"

I looked at the excited kid in a jumper suit standing in front of me and asked again.

Might Guy nodded at me with a cheerful smile.

After Guy graduated he was told that he will be a member of our team by the Hokage himself.

"So let's fight." Guy shouted as I congratulated him for passing.

"Hoh?"

Well that came out of nowhere but it didn't seem like a bad idea. Since he is going to be a teammate it would be good to be familiar with each other's strength.

In a clearing with a few trees around us I looked at Guy jumping as we both warmed up.

"Ready?" I asked Guy as he simply nodded and charged at me.

*Swoosh*

Beginning with a punch that Guy launched our fight began.

I deflected his attack with a hand and threw a punch of my own which Guy deflected with ease as well.

*swoosh* *tak*

Just like that punch after punch the speed of our blows accelerated.

Both of us seemed to be matching the pace as we dodged and attacked each other.

With a few kicks and feints mixed in our fight dragged on for a while.

Guy dodged a punch as he bent down with both hands on the ground he rotated his body as his kicked me in a swiping motion one leg in the air the other aiming for the ground.

I jumped back and avoided the kicks from disrupting my balance.

Then without stopping for a break I charged him aiming for the moment he tries to balance himself.

In a feat of acrobatic motion guy jumped off the ground doing a backflip dodging my puch.

I jumped after him, landing a step behind as i missed his body i pivoted my body on one foot and rotated my body full 360deg delivering a kick with a powerful force leaving him no space to dodge as he landed.

Without any choice Guy brought both his hands forward and bent his knees to block the blow to guard his stomach.

He got pushed back by the force of the attack as his feet dragged on the ground leaving behind traces.

If his balance had been bad his body would either topple or be throw in the air.

Amazing I complimented in my heart as I charged him again.

After a few more exchange of blows both of us were breathing heavily as we were covered in dust and scratches, I more than him.

Looks like my body is still lacking in both stamina and endurance.

It was a really great chance for me to understand the limits of my body, but now that I have done that it was time to finish the fight and i am not planning on loosing this fight.

With my mind made up I made a hand sign as Guy jumped and kicked my head.

A smile came over Guy's face as the kick landed squarely on my face, or was it really me.

*ting* *substitution jutsu*

Time slowed down for Guy as his face slowly morphed into a big "O" shit?

My falling body morphed into a wooden log as I appeared slightly behind Guy and delivered a full powered kick to his back, without stopping I jumped up and rotated my body mid air delivering another kick to the back of his head

A swift end to the fight.

I cracked my neck sideways as his body fell motionless on the ground after sliding a short distance.

*tap* *tap*

I heard footsteps behind me as a voice came in.

"That's cheating you know, Rei."
