Graduation exam

Next day academy

"What you want to take the graduation exam?"

Daikoku was bewildered at this kids sudden proclamation. He thought the kid was smart and was a quick learner but he started doubting the smart part as Rei suddenly came to him today and asked to take the graduation exam.

'I don't think being this arrogant is good.'

He berated him for being stupid and naive and not knowing what he was doing.

"And do you even know what the criteria for passing graduation exam is? It is Clone jutsu, do you even know what it is?"

'Off course he wouldn't.'

Daikoku looked at the kid waiting for his confused expression at the name of jutsu that hadn't been taught to them yet, although it was available in the academy library even the smartest kids he knew needed time to learn it and it had only been a month since the academy started so there was no way Rei could pass the graduation exam.

Annoyed by his remarks Rei sighed, he didn't speak further but instead made a few hand signs.

"Clone jutsu"

*poof* *poof poof poof poof*

Five clones of Rei appeared one by one as they looked at the dumbfounded face of Daikoku with raised eyebrows.

"Can i take the exam now teacher?" Rei said as he smiled towards Daikoku who was still in disbelief at what was happening in front of him, he rubbed his eyes but nothing changed.

"Teacher?" Rei asked again waking Daikoku up.

"Y-yeah i think you can take the exam now." Daikoku who still wasn't completely back to his senses yet muttered and went away to notify the hokage.

In the class kids were confused as Daikoku didn't come to teach them as usual but instead another teacher replaced him.

"Is Teacher Daikoku alright, why isn't he teaching today." Obito asked the replacement teacher.

"Umm he is fine kids, he is just busy today so i will be taking the class instead." The teacher said as he asked the kids to take their seats.

While the other kids followed his instructions Guy and Kakashi looked at the empty seat of Rei with confusion and worry, it was just yesterday when he was eating and laughing with them and today he wasn't present, did something happen to him?

As they looked at each other Kakashi pointed towards the teacher urging Guy to ask.

"Teacher is Rei alright, he isn't here as well today." Guy spoke loudly with a worry filled voice.

"Ah that kid, i think he was trying to take the graduation exam today, Daikoku san is probably busy with that as well. He is fine probably so sit down and pay attention." The teacher muttered the words while he wrote somthing on the board.

'What taking the graduation exam? So fast?'

All kids were surprised as they heard this.

Even Kakashi eyes were wide open as he felt a chilly feeling behind his neck, he clenched his fists as he thought about what the results for Rei would be instead of focusing on class .

In the exam venue five people stood on side looking at a kid standing opposite them.

Rei looked at the people standing in front of him specially the middle aged man standing in the middle wearing a hat that said hokage.

'Hmm so he is the leader of this village, Hiruzen Sarutobi.'

He had no doubt these people were quite powerful he looked at the men wearing jonin uniform and then at a man with bandages over his head and one eye who looked at him with narrowed eyes not hiding his interest in him.

'What's his deal?'

While he was still in thought Hiruzen spoke asking for his attention.

"You are Rei Kurama correct, I am the third hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi. Before we start the exam may i know why you are so eager to take the exam afterall it has only been a month since the academy started."

Hiruzen spoke in slow tone and smiled as he looked at Rei.

"Thats cause some guy said i need to graduate before i can talk to him again."

Rei looked at the hokage and smiled as he replied.

A dumbfounded look appeared on Hiruzen's and other's faces there as they heard his answer.

'What kind of reason for graduation is this?' They sighed as they could not think of anything more to ask.

"Ok then show us what you can do Rei, the requirement for passing the graduation is clone jutsu, we will judge whether you pass based on your performance, you can start now."

Hiruzen spoke as he signalled for Rei to start.

Rei didn't wait any longer since he wanted to go home eary as well, so as soon as Hiruzen signalled he started performing hand signs for the clone jutsu.

"Clone jutsu"

*poof* *poof poof poof ....*

Clones started appearing one by one until the there were 21 Rei that stood before the hokage almost filling the whole space. They all smiled and moved around showing Rei's proficiency with the clone jutsu.

"Wow! Amazing." A look of surprise and amazement appeared on the faces of everyone present there as they looked at the 4 year old kid effortlessly controlling 20 clones.

Even Sarutobi and Danzo had there mouth open in surprise as they looked at Rei and his clones. All of them had the same thought.

'Hidden leaf had produced another prodigy.'

"Umm so hokage sama do i pass?" Rei looked at Hiruzen as he asked with a smile.
