Foreshadowing

"Haha you sure are having fun with Guy around."

I laughed as Kakashi told me about his life in the ninja academy, about Guy and others.

"What fun? All he does is annoy others. I don't know why my father said a guy like that would become a great ninja when he can't even do any ninjutsu." Kakashi said with a plain tone.

"But he is always training hard with his taijutsu right, I am sure he would become a great ninja one day" I smiled at Kakashi who half-heartedly nodded at my words.

These weren't empty words since I had seen people achieve inhumane feats with their body and aura in my previous world, this world with chakra can even achieve even more since half of the chakra consists of physical aspects of the body.

Body and spirit working together, Minato also insisted that i focus on both these aspects equally saying 'While it is important to focus on improving your chakra control and jutsu training, body training is also equally important.' and i totally agree with him.

That's why when he told me to focus on my physical training until i had reached a certain level, although i did want to learn some new jutsu very badly i agreed with him.

Also since i had already learnt most of the Genin level jutsu i had to focus on improving these jutsu instead of jumping to learn something beyond what my current body could handle.

Also training both aspects of chakra requires one to give their time equally to both physical training as well as jutsu practice, while Guy can focus all his time on a single aspect.

Just imagining someone purely focusing on improving their physical aspect of chakra, I wonder what level they would be able to achieve.

I am really looking forward to it.

I bade farewell to Kakashi as he left the ramen shop after eating his fill, I stayed behind since I wanted to eat a little more due to being physically exhausted from my training.

"Haha you should eat with your sensei once in a while you know."

"Haha it's not like i don't want to sensei but i really need to go somewhere."

"Ha come on don't run away it's not always that we get the time to hang out together, or is there some girl you are going to meet."

"Haha.."

Hmm when i was about to start eating again i heard a bunch of voices entering the shop, I turned around because I recognised one of the voices.

I saw two men entering the shop a middle aged man with white hairs dragging a young one with yellow hair who i knew, Minato.

"Oh Rei! Are you eating alone." Minato stopped bickering with the white haired man and sat beside me as he saw me eating alone, did he think i felt lonely?

The white man looked alternatively between me and Minato for a while before he sat down as well with a sullen look on his face.

"Didn't you say you had somewhere to go? Do you just not want to eat with your poor sensei Ha."

The old guy sighed as he made a fake sad face and talked as if no one heard him.

"Haha" Minato laughed as he scratched his head.

I wonder if he is thinking of an excuse.

"Sensei this is Rei Kurama, I am teaching him a few things after he graduated from the academy." Trying to ease the mood Minato laughed lightly as he introduced me to Jiraya.

"And Rei he is my master Jiraya, one of the three Sanin." Minato smiled at Rei as he introduced Jiraya.

"You are teaching this little brat? Wait! did you say he graduated?"

Jiraya's mouth hung open in surprise as he looked towards Minato with an intense stare probably hoping to hear 'I was joking' from him.

'The boy was around 5year old utmost wasn't this the age they enroll at the academy, what do you mean he graduated.' Jiraya thought he had heard something wrong for a while.

Minato just nodded his head with a small smile confirming that what Jiraya heard was right.

"No way, did this little brat start learning from his mother's womb?"

Jiraya's confusion was given since passing the ninja academy meant he was a genin. Even the most promising genius that he knew of wasn't this capable when he was this boy's age. Didn't this mean he was better than Minato and a certain legendary genius that he was quite familiar with.

"Nice to meet to great master Jiraya." Although he didn't know what a Sanin was yet seeing Minato respect the man Rei bowed as he greeted Jiraya who nodded with a confused look on his face.

When Minato told him the story of how Rei had surprised him as well by graduating after he told him to do so, Jiraya could only sit there with a dumb look on his face.

'A once in decade no even in a centurie such geniuses were hard to come by.'

Jiraya had goosebumps all over his body as reached that conclusion.

'And he is Minato's student who is my student, doesn't that mean he is indirectly my student. He could even be the child of prophecy but for that he has to be better than Minato right? Argh! what a headache let's stop thinking about this for now.'

Jiraya shook his head stopping his train of thought, he was a legendary Sanin afterall if even he couldn't keep his head calm who could.

"Haha great it means that Konoha's future is bright, hey kid do you want to learn a secret move from your great master."Jiraya winked at Rei as he pointed his thumb towards himself.

Rei's eyes shined after hearing the words secret and jutsu and he nodded at Jiraya's words.

"You want to huh? Haha Let me teach you a forbidden jutsu used for sneak.. I mean infiltration."

Jiraya laughed and nodded as he imagined Rei sneak.. infiltrating into the women's bath as he enjoyed the truth of this world and praised him, Jiraya's eyes curved into crescent and his nose slightly bleeding at his imagination.

Both Rei and Minato freaked out as they looked at Jiraya.

Rei looked at Minato with a look of 'is this guy trustworthy?'

*cough*

Minato cleared his throat as he broke Jiraya from his trance.

"But master didn't you say you were busy and would leave the village soon."

"Oh right." Jiraya nodded as his mischievous face turned solemn and serious at Minato's words and spoke in low voice only the three of them could hear.

"Yeah since a war might start soon, I have some things I need to do."

Minato's face also turned serious as he imagined the implication of his words while Rei had a surprised look on his face.

'I haven't even been here for three months and a war is already happening, is my luck really that bad.'

Rei sighed with a look of helplessness on his face.

Jiraya looked at Rei's face realising that the kid was worried if Konoha might lose.

"Haha don't worry kid there's no way Konoha would lose."

He laughed as tried to reassure the kid to which Rei nodded and smiled making Jiraya smile as well.

Of course Rei was not sure if Konoha would win or not but what worried him was how this war might affect him, looking at the history of this world it was well within the possibility that he might even have to go to war he wasn't naive enough to believe that everything would go Konoha's way in the war.

And one thing that he was sure about was that he was at the bottom most position on the power scale of this world, if he went to war like this he would probably be swatted around like a fly.

Even if didn't have any grand goals he for sure wouldn't want to waste this new miracle of life so easily.

'I have been enjoying this new life too much, it seems i have to be a little more serious.' Rei clenched his fist as he made up his mind.
