Be my teacher

Kakashi who had always spent his money thoughtfully never knew a day like this would come in his life.

He looked at his empty wallet with a depressed look it was like he had lost everything in life in a single day.

"Come on Kakashi don't look so sad, come here and try it the ramen today is quite tasty."

Rei patted Kakashi's back as he spoke trying to console him.

A tick mark appeared on young Kakashi's head as he looked at the smiling Rei.

"I know i lost the bet and was supposed to treat you, but why are they here?"

Kakashi said in low voice as he got closer to Rei while pointing towards Guy, Obito and Rin.

"Haha i didn't know Kakashi was so generous, treating us even though he lost." Obito said as he kept eating his ramen.

"Thanks for calling us Rei." Guy spoke loudly as he gave a thumbs up towards Rei making Kakashi look towards him with burning eyes asking for an explanation.

Rei laughed as he rubbed the back of his head

"Ok ok geez calm down, I will pay for them so just sit down and enjoy as well."

Rei sighed and smiled as he calmed Kakashi down.

'But I only called Guy here though, where did these two drop from.'

"Calm down Kakashi and eat some ramen before it gets soggy." Rin smiled as well as she invited Kakashi to sit.

Hearing that he would get some of his money Kakashi finally calmed down and started eating his ramen.

Looking at Kakashi's sudden change the kids couldn't help but laugh.

Kakashi stopped eating and raised his eyes making them hold their laughter in but Rei continued to laugh, he gave Rei a look as well but seeing the later didn't even flinch Kakashi shook his head and focused his attention back to food.

The kids continued to talk and laugh as they discussed various things while Kakashi and Rei mostly remained silent and listened occassionally laughing with them.

"See you guys at the academy then." Rei bid farewell to the group of kids as each of them went their way.

Having been so focused on learning for while from taijutsu, practicing chakra control to learning different type of jutsu the village had Rei thought he deserved a break. Knowing that a tired mind wasn't any good for learning anything he decided to take a break and he felt quite relaxed with the time he spent with the kids.

Rei smiled as he thought he should head home as well, but he stopped as someone passed by him.

'Yellow hair and a jonin uniform, is he perhaps.'

"Umm excuse me." The man with yellow hair stopped and looked at the small kid wondering why he stopped him.

"Um do you mean me?" He spoke as he pointed a finger at himself.

Rei nodded his head and spoke

"Yeah, are you perhaps the top genius of the ninja academy, Minato Namikaze?"

Minato smiled awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Yeah I am Minato, did you need something from me?" Minato smiled as he bent down to match the kids height.

'I wasn't wrong.' Rei had heard of the ninja academy's genius, someone who had the record of highest score in the academy, of course the academy teacher didn't forget to brag about his handsome looks which Rei didn't forget.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Minato, I am Rei Kurama. I have heard that you are quite good at fuinjutsu (sealing jutsu) so would you please be my teacher." Rei spoke with a serious face conveying his resolution to learn. Afterall if he wanted to make such a request he had to show his seriousness otherwise considering his age he will be dismissed quite easily by others as just a brat playing around.

Minato was no doubt surprised by the boys words while some may have thought the kid was joking Minato could read the seriousness in the boys eyes and the words he chose told him he wasn't someone playing around.

Minato rubbed Rei's forehead as he looked into Rei's eyes.

"And why are you so eager to learn little Rei, specially fuinjutsu? It's not easy to learn you know."

Minato spoke with a smile on his face waiting for the boy's response.

"Its because I want to protect my mother and this village and for that i have to become stronger. And if its about the difficulty we won't know if i can learn until i try right?"

Rei spoke and smiled as he met Minato's eyes.

'He's seems confident.'

Minato smiled at Rei's words.

"Okay Rei I will teach you but I have a condition."

Rei narrowed his eyes at Minato's words.

"You have to pass the academy graduation exam first and become a genin, only then can I become your teacher. It might take you a few years to pass the academy you should focus on that for now so lets meet again when you become a genin." Minato rubbed Rei's head as he smiled.

"All i have to do is become a genin?" Rei asked to confirm to which Minato smiled and nodded.

"Alright Minato sensei don't forget your promise." Rei laughed as he bid farewell to Minato and walked towards his home with a grin on his face.
