A New Addition

Rei looked out the window as he fell into deep thought.

Three months had passed since he started working on the new sealing jutsu, during this time his knowledge of sealing jutsu had grown a lot.

He had mostly focused on fuinjutsu and training his body these past few months so his genjutsu skills hadn't progressed at all.

Except for genjutsu he also wanted to learn some elemental jutsu since he also needed to improve his direct combat methods.

Rei had a nostalgic smile as he thought about the element he had most affinity with in this life, fire. He had the same smile when he checked his elemental affinity.

He looked like an old man as he was lost in his memories about the element he was most familiar with.

Choosing a name for his new jutsu.

"Chakra diamond? No chakra cube?"

Rei spoke as he thought of the various names he could give this jutsu.

"No not these either"

But he didn't like them.

"Crimson diamond or cube?"

"Ugh! I hate this."

Rei who had already lost his bearing of an archmage put his tired face between his palms as he muttered.

He felt like naming things was harder than learning chakra control.

"Let's just call it Crimson Chakra Sealing Jutsu."

Rei threw his hands in the air and decided on a name. In reality he just didn't want to think about this anymore.

"Hey Rei come out."

It was at this time that he heard a loud voice calling him from outside his house.

"Huh! what is he doing here?"

Konhoa Hokage's office

Minato who had just finished his mission stood before the third hokage as he finished his report.

Hiruzen sat in a seiza posture with a small desk in front of him, many scrolls with different mission reports laid over the desk.

He nodded with a serious face after listening to Minato's briefing, he frowned as he mulled over something silently.

After a while he broke his silence as looked at Minato.

"You did great Minato as expected of you."

Minato nodded without a change in his expression as waited for Hiruzen to continue speaking.

Hiruzen tapped his index finger on the small desk in front of him as he continued.

"This war is getting bigger and bigger as time passes, there are too many eyes set on Konoha waiting for their chance to strike."

*sigh*

"Too many have died protecting the village, but for Konoha's sake we cannot give up no matter the price."

Minato listened attentively as Hiruzun spoke.

"Minato as you know we are starting to fall behind on manpower, prepare your team for battle its time for the genin to take part in the war."

*sigh*

Hiruzen sighed as he finished speaking.

Minato who heard Hiruzen looked like he wanted to say something against it but he hesitated because he knew that Hiruzen wouldn't have given such an order if he had a choice.

"As you wish Hokage sama"

In the end he could only sigh in his mind and follow the Hokage's orders.

"Also take this."

Minato was about to leave when Hiruzen held a paper for him to take.

"Hokage sama this is?" Minato looked at Hiruzen wondering what he meant by this.

"He is a new genin who will join your team, now you have a proper three man squad to lead."

Hiruzen stroked his goatee as he looked at Minato reading the details of the new genin.
