The first team meeting! Part-1

We ended up in Yakiniku Q, I have never actually been here but Asano being a Yamanaka obviously was a bit biased towards it. Since Kione and I weren't really opposed to it we ended up ordering some salted beef tongue on her recommendation before setting down on the green seats.

"So, what do you guys do outside of training?" Asano asked, a small smile on her face as she flipped the meat on the barbeque.

"I like to spend time with my Kikaichu..." Kione responded.

"I like to swim sometimes in the Uchiha lake..." I replied. Asano gave me a questioning look, "Where's the Uchiha lake?"

"Ah! yes, after the rebuilding that the village went through, the Uchiha clan relocated closer to the training grounds, in one of the training grounds is a large lake where we normally practice fire jutsu... somehow we ended it naming it the Uchiha lake since it is with our clan borders now..." I flipped the beef in front of me, the sauce on it was sizzling and the aroma was good.

'This isn't a bad place to eat, hopefully, it doesn't cost too much...'

"What about you?" I asked after an awkward pause, she beamed at me and responded, "well, I like flower pressing and tending to my garden, plus I already told you about my taste buds," her gaze shifted to the meat sizzling in front of her.

"What jutsu were you talking about, Fujii-san," Kione asked, I had assumed he would be quiet during the meal but I guess his question was leaning towards team dynamics more than anything else.

I flipped the meat onto my plate and got ready to eat as I pondered how much to tell, I wasn't super-advanced but still since the next Chunin exams would be at least a year away, they would figure out some of the stuff during that period anyway, "well... I know the Great Fireball Jutsu that you guys saw during the genin exams, there is also the Dragon Fire jutsu, and the Shunshin..." I responded before taking a bite of the meat in front of us, Kione nodded as he pondered before he spoke, "I am proficient enough in some of my clan's basic jutsu, like the Kikaichu clone and Kikaichu sphere, plus I have contracted with several species of Bikochu, Kidaichu, and Kikaichu."

I continued to chew and looked at Asano who had a mouthful of beef, her face turned red as she hastily swallowed and responded nervously, "O-oh... uhmmm... I know the Mind Body Switch Technique..." she replied meekly, it looked like she wasn't really ready to answer that question, the food in front of her was a huge distraction...

*Sigh*

I sighed and went back to my food, at least it wasn't one of those fan girls that were circling Itachi, they probably knew nothing except from the standard academy jutsu...

'I really wish I had that Observe ability, gauging their level would have been so much easier with that...' I bemoaned in my thoughts, sometimes this nerfed version of the gamer power really was getting on my nerves, thankfully the skill trees would make up for it...

---------------------

{Next day...}

I wasn't the first to arrive at the training ground, I saw Kione silently standing beside the famous three stubs of wood upon which one day Naruto would be tied too... Walking silently toward Kione I gave him a nod as a greeting before I jumped on one of the stubs.

Training ground 7 was not a big one, but it still had a small lake and forest to iterate any scenario that could happen in the Land of Fire... it wasn't long before both Asano and Suzaku-sensei arrived together. I let any implications slide for the moment as both Kione and I stood up to greet them.

"Good Morning, Suzaku-Sensei, Asano-san" as we exchanged pleasantries for a bit, Asano joined us and we stood in front of Suzaku Sensei.

"Alright, from today onwards Team 7 would be operational, we are documented as an infiltration and capture team, now what does that entail?" he pointed towards Kione.

"It means we have to breach into Hostile territory undetected and escape safely, sometimes without the enemy noticing with the target secured, the target could be a person or some information," Kione spoke as if he was reading from our textbook.

Suzaku Sensei then pointed at me and asked, "Why a team of three, and what roles are necessary for an Infiltration and capture team."

I knew why he had asked me that question, it seems like my sensing skills were found out by the village, 'But how, I'm sure I don't give anything away when I sense stuff, I mean there is no pulse of Chakra or anything, how could they have found out?'

"3-man cells were first popularized by the policy made by Lord Second, since then Konoha teams have always operated as a three-man cell, it is made so that they cover every possibility that a team might need, for example, an Infiltration and capture team..." I pointed towards Kione, "The tracker necessary to locate the target, and maybe immobilize them silently if the mission requires..." I then pointed at myself, "The sensor, responsible for detecting all enemy threats in the hostile territory..." I then pointed toward Asano, "Information gathering and immobilizing the target if Kione's method is not feasible..." I then pointed again at myself and finished, "Frontline Fire Power, responsible for creating a necessary escape path when necessary for the team..."

Suzaku Sensei looked at me and then nodded before pointing towards Asano, "What is the most important thing necessary for an infiltration team to be successful?"

At that question Asano paused, it wasn't a question like from the textbooks that we had read in the academy, after a few seconds Asano responded, "The stealth necessary to stay hidden in a hostile territory..."

Suzaku Sensei nodded and then he spoke, "Good if you could achieve that then you would turn out to be a decent team... now, since no one mentioned it, this would be your first lesson, the most important thing that would keep you alive during an active infiltration mission is... to be able to trust your teammates to have your back under any circumstances..." he paused and then grinned at us, "...and since Asano failed to answer the question correctly, we are going to a survival training trip right now, follow me..."

All three of us shared a look, while Asano smiled apologetically we jumped behind Suzaku Sensei while I cursed him in my mind...

'He should be dragged to the T&I... there is no way he's a Nara...'
