I started at my highest level skill yet, most skills maxed out at level 10 or 20, they either evolved into a higher tired skill or they gave a max level bonus, this skill on the other hand just kept going, I expected it to cap at 50, 100 being the cap for the stat. Still traveling through the land of Noodles had been peaceful for me, there were almost no shinobi in these parts, maybe some missing-nin hiding from the world here and there, and occasional squads of hunter-nin squads after their target.

"Kenji-san, here's your order, beef noodles, on the house, I heard you were leaving town?" the restaurant owner asked, I nodded, currently I was still on my original identity, surprisingly no one managed to track Kenji down, it seems like Land of Waves was too small in Konoha's radius that they never suspected I'll flee through there, anyway the diversion I had prepared after that had been a waste.

"Yeah, I am leaving towards the Karatachi Island in about an hour, why did you hear something about it?" I asked him, I looked above his head to recall his name as he leaned in and whispered, "There were rumors about a demon being sealed in the Island recently, the shinobi are up to no good there, the civilians living alongside the clan are in constant fear, they heard loud cries deep into the night every other fortnight..."

'Oh, so Yagura got the Sanbi sealed in him... yeah it's been about three years... in about 5-6 years the purge would start in Kiri...'

"Fucking stupid, that piece of shit didn't mention anything about a demon..." I started cursing, I was using the disguise as a delivery guy, an ex-shinobi from Kusa who defected recently, he was a guy I killed on my way out of Konoha and threw into my inventory to hide any exposure. With a bounty of 50,000 Ryo on Kenta's head, he was worth practically nothing leaving me to explore the world through his eyes. I traveled through the Land of noodles using his identity, luring in lower-ranked hunter nin to kill gaining stat points on the way.

The bonuses I gained from becoming a missing-nin were a mixed bag, although it was disappointing to not have a missing-nin skill tree, the stat point bonus I received was worth it.

I had received this notification on my second day on the run, and my escape strategy changed, although a little risky I managed to get 23 Stat points from my 7-day escape from Land of Fire. I managed to grab a bingo book from the Kusa team that tried to kill Kenta two days ago, they weren't expecting me instead of a genin with basic training.

The information in the Kusa-nin's Bingo book shed new light on his circumstances.

I forgot about the Daimyos when I first created my plan thus this extreme turmoil, although it explains why Iwa placed a bounty on me. Even though I was tempted to have a chat with Onoki and maybe play on his past trauma of Susano, I decided against it.

'There is no reason to needlessly antagonize a great Hidden Village, not for a few years at least.'

I sighed loudly before slurping down my noodles, being the staple food of the Land it was quite good, which made me think about Ichiraku's back home, I never tried it, so busy in my quest to grind jutsus I think I missed out on a lot of things, "Alright Sofu-san, I'll head-on, I need to get going, that son of a bitch needs to explain things more clearly..." I kept cursing as I made my way outside of the restaurant, activating Chakra sensing I scanned almost 300m all around me for any new chakra signature, Chakra Sensing was my second most useful skill during this brief period of time.

Naosuke spoke as soon as I entered the docks, I nodded and eyed the shinobi from hidden mist stationed around the port, being one of the entry points to the Land of Water, the Island of Miori was an important checkpoint, a platoon of Shinobi was always present to monitor the situation, I had already compressed my chakra levels to that of a genin. One of the most difficult things to hide that I have learned in the past 4 months is that you are a shinobi, even if I were to suppress my chakra to that of a civilian level and then force myself to mingle, the breathing techniques, my perfectly measured steps, and my eyes darting in every corner were dead giveaways to any shinobi. Even if I had tried to act like a naive fool at times something in my facade slips up as I react to any shinobi entering my passive sensing zone.

One of the mist Shinobi checks out us boarding the ship, his eyes instantly focused on me as he senses a shinobi, he came to speak to me but before he could speak, my eyes flashed red for barely a moment before he subtly changed his direction and headed towards his team.

Seeing my powered-up version of Genjutsu managed to fool him that I was a regular missing-nin around here that I had checked many times before, I sighed in relief and boarded the ship heading to the Karatachi Island. It took the ship almost an hour to depart, I leaned back against the cabin beams, "Hey Kenta! you coming we are going to play some card, you still owe me for last night, you bastard..."

"You guys start, I'll join you, in a bit." I leaned on the railing and looked at the disappearing port, my fun time of rest was coming to an end, now I need to figure out why Kiri didn't place a bounty on me, and if maybe I can work as a mercenary in the area, there was still time after all before the purge starts.
