The Aftermath!

------x-x-----Lukas's POV------x-x-----

I felt it immediately as soon as we walked out of the house, the air was much cleaner and I could see trees almost everywhere, the Uchiha clan compound was supposedly present at the corner of the Hidden Leaf village. I could see the forest behind my courtyard as we walked towards the clan square from what I remember.

Possibly from my eyes darting from one place to another my uncle decides to talk to me, "Calm down, Fujii, the beast is gone, the Yondaime managed to deal with it..." he spoke in a measured tone as if waiting for my reaction so I calmly nodded at him.

"It was a tough fight, many of our civilians and ninja's lost their lives defending Konoha," Takaki continued and I could detect a hint of pride in his voice which made me marvel at the level of indoctrination that Konoha shinobi go through, and since it was based on protecting the weak, it was the reason which made the Uchiha's revolt, they couldn't stand being seen with disgust from the people they had to put their life on the line to save.

"Unfortunately your parents were among them," he said waiting for my reaction, and I paused, I honest to god paused as I gave him an 'are-you-an-idiot' look for telling a kid that, before I remember that this isn't my homeworld anymore, this is the Elemental nations.

'Where kids barely 7 years old are taught how to kill people for the good of the village...'

I sighed and realized I need to reorganize my thinking and approach this once again from a different angle if I wanted to survive in this clusterfuck of a world.

'At least there are several genuinely good characters in the show...'

"Konoha lost a lot of manpower yesterday, so the shinobi council has put forward the date of academy entrance date, and anyone from the age 6-8 who wishes to be a ninja can report to the academy tomorrow," Takaki continued and I realized what this was about and then another thought struck me.

'Itachi would be joining the academy too wouldn't he, was the Kyuubi attack the reason for his accelerated training and promotions? So should I add his and Sasuke, and hell maybe even my name to the list of lives Obito ruined for a seemingly insane plan?'

"...Tami took care of you yesterday, you fainted from chakra exhaustion, and the only reason for that to happen would be if you managed to activate your Sharingan..." he gave me a side glance and I grimaced inwardly, I didn't want any attention but still it won't take long for the secret to be out and I don't want to be excluded from the clan so soon, so my thoughts went back to the third skill present in my skills window.

[Sharingan] (Active/Passive) LVL: 1 (0.01%)

{CP Cost: 1/s}

{When active, the user gains incredible clarity of perception and dynamic vision.}

{Allows the user to track Chunin Level movements and copy any jutsu they can see within limits.}

{Able to cast E-C Rank genjutsu through sight.}

{Improved proficiency in the skill increases the potency of skill effects.}

{Passive} {+2 DEX per level}

Unlike others native to this world I didn't have to concentrate and control my chakra to activate the skill, I just had to think...

'Sharingan...'

The world bled color all around me, everything was just a tad bit more vibrant, I looked at my hands and as I moved them I could see the path they took, the muscle twitches were automatically translated to what movement I would make without me needing to process this information through experience. I could even see the haze of rapidly depleting chakra from my body so I quickly focused on turning off the dojutsu which it thankfully obeyed.

"Remarkable, to be able to do that without the use of a hand seal to focus your chakra," the older Uchiha beamed at me and I merely nodded, while internally cursing at my hindsight.

'What the fuck was I gonna do anyway, try to look like a naruto wannabe while holding a make-believe tiger hand seal? or was it ram to concentrate chakra... I really need access to the library and maybe some basics from the academy would help.'

"Come on let's go, we need to go see Fugaku-sama, you and Itachi will be joining the academy with another Uchiha girl who also awakened her eyes, Izumi I think was her name..." Takaki continued and I felt weird listening to him, this was like my favorite manga but at a timeline which I was not familiar with, don't even start on how many changes would happen by the time I graduate.

"You along with Itachi will represent the elite of our clan so both of you need to have appropriate showings during the academy," Takaki continued and I was almost fed up with his continuous groaning by now, seriously how much can this guy talk, I was under the impression that Uchiha's were the silent and broody type.

'I'm turning into a brat aren't I?' I thought exasperated at my rapidly changing thoughts.

After preaching for a bit Takaki stopped talking and I saw various Uchiha clan members dressed in black t-shirts moving about, there was an air of sadness and remorse present which actually befitted the occasion rather than Takaki's casual chatter.

'Come to think of it, according to my memories Takaki wasn't that close to our family, why did he even come to fetch me?'

As we finally arrived at possibly the biggest house in the clan, although still pretty modest for Fugaku being a clan head the house still stood out, there was a constant stream of Uchiha clan members coming and going to the house and at this moment I realized how truly monstrous Itachi was to finish off almost 100 active Uchiha combatants, even if he had the help of Obito Uchiha.

And as we entered the house and came face to face with Fukagu, my eyes immediately sought out the stoic child beside him, that same monster talent was now sitting in front of me. I didn't oggle the supposed hero of the hidden leaf, I merely gave him a small nod and turned my attention to the other shark in the room. I bowed my head slightly and said, "Fugaku-sama..."

Even though it felt weird to actively say 'sama' after saying his name, seeing him smile, and reading the notification that appeared in front of me I felt it was justified, if only for just a few more years.

[+5 REP with Fugaku Uchiha]
