As in the canon, everything happened by doing D-rank missions like catching the demon cat Tora. So, the same thing happened, and they got their first C-rank mission, which was to escort Tazuna to the Land of Waves. When the Demon Brothers appeared, Naruto didn't freeze and even took down one of them. Then Kakashi appeared from hiding.

And Kakashi praised Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. Even though she was scared, Sakura stood in front of Tazuna.

"Mr. Tazuna, there are no ninjas in C-rank missions. At most, we'll deal with thieves and gangsters. If there are ninjas among the enemies, the mission will be classified as B-rank or higher. This kind of mission is too hard for new Genin."

Kakashi's lazy eyes turned serious. Tazuna lowered his head and stayed silent. After thinking for a long time, he seemed to give up and sighed heavily.

Tazuna said, "I need to tell you something about the mission..."

Kakashi, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura looked at him.

"Actually, a very scary guy wants to kill me. His name is kaido...(just kidding) ...is gato, the owner of a shipping company."

Kakashi was surprised. "Gato is the richest man in the world... He wants you dead?"

Tazuna's face turned serious. "Yes, he runs a shipping company, but he secretly works with gangsters and ninjas to smuggle and sell drugs. A year ago, they took over the land of Wave using money and violence to control all shipping. The bridge I'm building is our only hope."

"Drug trafficking!" Naruto trembled and said angrily, "That's awful! When I become Hokage, anyone selling drugs will be punished!"

Bang!

Kakashi hit Naruto lightly on the head to stop him from interrupting.

Kakashi said, "I feel for you, but why didn't you tell us this when you hired us? B-rank tasks are beyond our level. We should head back to the village."

Tazuna whispered, "The Land of Wave is very poor. Even the daimyo doesn't have much money, let alone me. But don't worry about it. If I die, the only ones who will cry are my ten-year-old grandson and my daughter, who will hate Konoha for the rest of their life. But it's not your fault, hahaha..." Tazuna laughed bitterly. He came to Konoha because he heard the ninjas there were kind. For his country's sake, he risked everything.

Kakashi, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke all gave Tazuna a emotionless look.

"What a troublesome client!" Kakashi thought. He turned to the team and asked, "What do you think?"

"Of course the mission continues!" Naruto said without hesitation.

Sasuke nodded, and Sakura agreed with Sasuke.

Kakashi said, "Okay, then the mission continues."

Tazuna secretly made a victory gesture and sighed in relief. "Finally!"

Kakashi was about to say something, but Naruto walked towards the tied-up Demon brothers with a kunai. After knocking them unconscious, Kakashi had tied them to a tree. Naruto took a deep breath, knowing he would face more battles. Under the shocked gaze of Kakashi, Dazna, Sasuke, and Sakura, Naruto cut the throat of one of the Demon brother, and blood gushed out.

"Ah, my eyes, my eyes..." It was Naruto's first time killing someone, and he had no experience. Blood sprayed on his face and clothes. It was a shocking scene, but when Naruto started yelling and covering his eyes, everyone snapped out of it.

Sasuke gritted his teeth, surprised by Naruto's decisiveness. If Naruto could do it, he could too. He took out a kunai and walked towards the other ghost brother.

Tazuna quickly handed Sakura some clean water. She stepped forward to help Naruto wash his eyes.

"Really, Naruto, you're covered in blood. It's going to be hard to wash off later."

Naruto opened his eyes and said, "Kakashi-sensei stole all the attention earlier. I wanted to show off, but..."

Sakura handed the water back to Tazuna and said, "Naruto, even though you've grown a lot, some things about you never change!"

Sasuke's hands were shaking slightly after he dealt with the other Demon brother. His blue Shirt stained with blood, and he looked fierce. Compared to Naruto's messy look, Sasuke's current look made Sakura swoon.

Naruto was frustrated. "How can Sasuke be so cool? I was trying to be impressive!"

The mission continued, and the escort part was long and boring. Naruto wasn't as excited as when he first left the village. It took a few days to reach the coast.

The boatmen were afraid of Gato and didn't want to go out. Fortunately, Dazna had an old friend who agreed to row them across the sea. Taking advantage of the early morning fog, they took a secret route to the Land of Waves.

Sitting on the boat, Naruto licked the cool sea fog from his nose, feeling playful.

Sakura and Sasuke, seeing this, rolled their eyes at Naruto.

The boat moved forward, parting the white fog. It was a beautiful and spectacular sight. The sea fog of the Land of Waves is unique to this country. The only other place with year-round fog is the Hidden Mist Village in the Land of Water.

After landing, Tauzna's old friend quickly left, risking his life to help. They continued towards Tazuna's home. The forest they passed through was smaller than the one in the Land of Fire. Team 7 walked in silence. The sun had risen, and the clear sky felt refreshing.

Suddenly, Naruto quickly took out a kunai and threw it towards a bush, startling Sakura. Sasuke and Kakashi became alert.

There was a moment of silence. Naruto walked over slowly, followed by Sakura, Sasuke, Kakashi, and Tazuna. The kunai was stuck in a tree, and a snow-white rabbit lay there, twitching with fear.

"So cute!" Sakura's eyes lit up.

Kakashi frowned, "Snow rabbits are specially bred. How could an island country like the Land of Waves have snow rabbits?"

Suddenly, there was a sound of something cutting through the air!

"Everyone, get down!" Kakashi quickly held down Dazna and Sasuke, and Naruto pulled Sakura down.

A giant sword sliced through the air and embedded itself in a tree. A man with a bandaged face appeared on the sword's handle. He wore a Mist Village headband and had a muscular, bare chest.

"No wonder Demon Brothers failed. Isn't this the famous copy ninja Hatake Kakashi?"

"Momochi Zabuza!" Kakashi's eyes turned sharp, full of killing intent, completely different from his usual lazy look.
