Chapter 49

(Sorry for the delay, a lot has happened during these last few weeks. Anyway, I am back and hopefully I have time to write as I am going to be busy from now.)

We travelled while maintaining the same formation. I wasn't worried about anyone else in that situation.

Yugito isn't someone who would need my help and my mother is protected by ninjas and even the Daimyo of the Land of Lightning.

Whenever I remember about that Daimyo, it sends a shiver down my spine. That guy is a messed up character.

Remember how I said that Aki's husband used to sleep with Daimyo's wife, well I also met her and did the same, because she looked stunning.

But for some reason, everytime I slept with her, I felt something weird. Like someone was watching me have sex with her.

At first I brushed it off, thinking it could be my bodyguard or her bodyguard. I still wanted to be sure, so I used my Byakugan and found that piece of shit.

Only after reading memories of Daimyo's wife, did I get to know the truth. Apparently, Daimyo had ED and couldn't satisfy his wife, but when he found Aki's husband sleep with his wife, he got turned on.

So, everytime she sleeps with someone, he would stand in another room and masturbate looking at them.

When I found out about this, at first I felt uncomfortable being watched, but slowly it turned into pride. It is the pride of men when he can satisfy a woman.

Our journey to the border wasn't anything difficult but along the way, Samui, Atsui and Darui were making weird movements, confirming that something is wrong.

Darui or Atsui would follow me everytime I to take a leak. We camped two times, as we were going to fight and needed to be in good shape.

Even during the camp, Samui would sneak into my tent and....

If anyone is thinking that she was doing it just due to attraction or something, no. She is keeping an eye on my every move, even at night.

They didn't want to leave me alone and let me contact anyone.

We arrived at the border of the Land of Rain and true to its name, it kept raining continuously.

We arrived at a small town just as we crossed the border. Samui stopped and said to us "According to the information we received, G was last spotted in this town.

We will alert him if we stay together. So, I will split us into two groups and we will investigate. Any small information can be useful.

Hakuto and Darui will be in one team, while me, Atsui and Yugito will be in another. As soon as you find him, engage and send the other team a signal.

Everyone has to return here after three hours. We can plan on what to do further, with the information gathered till then."

With that we dispersed and I was stuck with Darui. When I looked at him, he bent and said "Sorry"

I knew they were trying to attack me, but splitting up wasn't a good idea. Sure, Darui was strong. But, he wasn't strong enough to kill me alone.

Excited as to what was going to happen, I entered the town and headed straight to the bar.

Thr bar is the best place to collect information. The drunk idiots from that area gather there and blabber useful stuff.

I walked up to the bartender and asked for the most famous drink of their bar.

Darui looked at me and said "Don't you know we aren't supposed to drink while we are on a mission."

"Don't you know we should never mention the word 'mission' out loud while on a mission." I said to him while looking around.

Since everyone were enjoying their drinks and chatting loudly, no one heard us. No one, except the bartender.

He glared at us. I reassured him "Don't worry, we won't do anything that might ruin your business."

He sighed and said "I don't want to become an enemy of a ninja, nor do I want you guys to ruin my business. Both would lead to my death. So, just please remember this and do what you want to do."

Darui went and apologized to the bartender as usual.

"It's fine, we are done with what we wanted to do." I said and placed a few coins in front of the bartender before leaving.

Darui, who was confused as to what was happening, asked "What was that? Why did you leave without any intel?"

"While you were busy apologizing to the bartender, I heard some people talk about some kind soul that paid them 100,000 ryo for a ride to the village Hidden in Rain.

They are going to leave in an hour, we have to move quickly." I said and Darui didn't reply or react to what I said.

He thought about it for a while and said "Ok, it looks like you know the location, lead the way."

I nodded and ran in a direction, with Darui following me.

When we were far away from the town, I heard Darui sigh in his dull tone. "Sorry Hakuto, we are far away from the town. Shouldn't you stop acting and get right into action.

I already alerted Samui and team. You don't have time to fool around."

"Nice, I knew I couldn't fool you that easily. What gave me away?" I asked with curiosity.

"No workers would get drunk if they are going to travel in an hour and your greatest mistake was that, you forgot that even I am a ninja. I was also alert of my surroundings. I didn't hear anything about what you said." Darui said.

"Fine, I will learn from my mistakes." I replied.

"I do know you are strong, but what gives you the confidence that you can survive after fighting 4 jonin alone." Darui asked as he had a bad feeling about this.

Then Darui suddenly turned back and blocked a kunai flying towards him.

It wasn't a normal kunai, but a kunai coated with lightning chakra and it also moved with lightning speed.

Darui looked at the person who threw the kunai. He sighed and the person who attacked Darui said "Who said he is alone?"

Darui said "G, I should have guessed that you both were working together, when Hakuto let you go before."

Author's Note :- I was gone for a while, as I had to adjust to the new life of university. I do think I will have time to write again. So, you can expect chapters, but there wouldn't be regular updates like before. So, how is the story. If people don't remember the plot anymore. I will do a small recall in the next chapter.
