"what?..." Naruto lifted his head to see Tsunade lowering her own. "Hold on Naruto let me look at his condition, I may not look it but I've been learning under Lady Tsunade for a long time now I'm sure there's something I can do" Shizune stepped up in place of Tsunade.

Naruto's hopes shifted over to shizune "sure thing, shizune" Naruto turned to Garm and gave him a reassuring smile "go over to shizune, she'll take care of it". Garm jumped on to the table and stood in front of shizune "Tha..nk..you..". Green Chakra covered Shizune's hands as she placed it on to Garm.

After taking an in-depth inspection shizune's expression stiffened, the seriousness of the situation became evident "I'm sorry but that is beyond my ability, to cure him I would need to be at least twice as proficient in Chakra control." Naruto's hopes were shattered when he heard her diagnosis.

"Are you sure, you're quite the skilled medical ninja shizune, you should be able to do something right?" Jiraiya tried to persuade shizune but she shot him down instantly "If I tried to perform surgery on him it would only shorten the little time he has left".

"...I guess there's no helping it right now.... Tsunade,... there's something else.... Become the fifth Hokage" Jiraiya went straight to the point. ".....what did you just say!!" Even more so than tsunade Naruto was shocked. "... Impossible, I will have to decline" Tsunade turned down the proposal without a second thought. " WHAT???" About to snap from the constant world ending revelations cast before him, Naruto took a few deep breaths and sat down to calm his mind.

" I remember you used that same line to turn me down when I asked you out on a date when we were younger" Jiraiya reminisced in the fond memory of their youth. ".…. You can not deny it Jiraiya, your former student the fourth was a truly talented individual and yet he died all too quickly... for the sake of the village..." Jiraiya and Naruto listened intently as she spoke.

"Life isn't like money, it can't be gambled so easily, those who put it at risk so easily are fools" Naruto clenched his teeth, his anger rose the longer he listened to Tsunade. "My grandfather and the 2nd both focused too much on bringing peace to our home, more than anything else, but as a result, they just died in the middle of their dreams, like losers..." Tsunade stated with certainty in her voice. "It's the same for sarutobi, no wonder he died... He was to old to live in his dreams, being a Hokage is something only a fool would want !".

"Take that back..." Naruto abruptly got up knocking plates off the table, the sound of shattering dishes echoed in the tavern drawing the attention of many "I won't forgive anyone that talks that way about the Hokage, even if you're a woman I'll kick your ass". Tsunade looked at Naruto in annoyance, she got up and met his gaze with her own "You've got some nerve, to knock over my booze and say that to me, let's take this outside".

Outside the tavern

Tsunade and Naruto stood in the middle of the street, while Tsunade maintained her calm demeanour Naruto stared daggers at her. "I'm one of the three legendary sanin I don't even need to try when dealing with a genin like you... Hmm a finger should be enough" Tsunade taunted Naruto yet he did not react to it he was far more infuriated by her previous words.

"You've stepped on my dreams and insulted the people I I look up to, GET READY FOR A WORLD OF HURT!!" Naruto crossed his fingers. "What does your dream have anything to do with this". Tsunade didn't have a clue about what he was on about.

"IT'S MY DREAM TO BECOME THE HOKAGE, EVEN IF THAT MAKES ME THE BIGGEST FOOL OF THEM ALL <MULTI SHADOW CLONE JUTSU>". In that moment Tsunade could see the people she loved in Naruto for they shared the same dream, a fond smile grew on her face as she remembered the happy moments they shared at one point in time. 'he's just like them'.

POOF POOF!!!

Around Naruto two clones manifested and charged directly towards Tsunade to test the waters. Within the span of a few seconds, the clones were efficiently dispelled. With a single flick of Tsunade's finger one of the clones was flung into the other and they were both defeated with terrifying efficiency. 'I thought she was a medical ninja why is she so strong.... I can't hold back if I want to stand a chance'

"<MULTI SHADOW CLONE JUTSU>" hundreds of clones appeared all over the street and roofs of the buildings, one by one they charged in and confronted Tsunade with Taijutsu all while Naruto attempted to create a rasengan. "Almost there" Naruto was forming one rasengan in each hand. After constantly gaining the collective experience of countless clones he's almost completely mastered the rasengan.

Tsunade assaulted by the endless clones sent her way was struggling to keep her initial claim at using only a single finger throughout the fight but she did just that. Not once did she use anything more than just a finger to attack. "Heh, not bad kid but if you think thats going to be enou-... That jutsu" Tsunade finally saw Naruto and the unstable technique he was attempting to use.

Naruto realised that Tsunade caught wind of his plan so he ditched his efforts at perfecting the rasengan. "Ok now!!" Two shadow clones grabbed onto Naruto and launched him to the sky. "You think you can sneak up on me with that flash jutsu... Think again !" Tsunade poked the ground causing a shockwave that created a wave of earthspikes to pierce all the remaining clones around her leaving her and Naruto as the last two standing in this fight.

High in the sky Naruto reached the peak of his ascent and began his descention, heading straight for Tsunade "HAAAAAAH!!!!". Tsunade had ample time to dodge but she did not. Her finger, aimed straight towards Naruto was drawn back and held in place by her thumb like an arrow on a bow, it stored massive amounts of Chakra and raw physical might ready to be released at a moment's notice

As they neared the intensity in their eyes grew. Just when they were about to clash a pink tendril grabbed on to Naruto's leg and launched him into the air and into to a water tank, crashing with his rasengans first to make contact, the water tank was blown to smitherines because of the unstable nature of the imperfected rasengans Naruto was using. Naruto landed inside of the water left inside the half destroyed tank.

"Tanks Gama you can go back now..." Jiraiya stood on a toad named Gama, the very same toad he used to beat that ebisu guy.*Poof* Gama left without uttering a single word. Landing on the ground Jiraiya sighed as he looked around "How exactly are you going to pay for all the damage you caused Tsunade".

Looking around Tsunade realised that she just lost all the money she won in a single day. "Damn...". In the water tank Naruto resurfaced and took a deep breath followed by heavy coughing. Jumping out of the tank he ran back to the two sannin "What the hell was that I was just about to win". Tsunade's brow twitched 'if I had a little more money to waste I'd beat him to a pulp'. "Hey kid how do you plan on paying for that water tank you destroyed not to mention all the water you wasted" Tsunade quick to spread her pain dropped a bomb on to naruto's head without a shread of mercy.

Turning back to see the water tank Naruto took out his fully stuffed wallet. Money he'd been saving up from all the d ranked missions he was going on. Tears ran down his eyes as he pictured his Gama chan starving due to poverty.
