Chapter 9

Miyamoto and Kakashi were walking along the road again.

Kakashi knew where they were and led the way, but he couldn't help but be on edge around Miyamoto, when he woke up this morning, he saw 2 dead Anbi and 1 that was cut to ribbons, Miyamoto had his same glare, that seeks battle, one that makes everyone feel like prey.

"Why have you let me live?" Kakashi asked, turning to Miyamoto.

"You hold my interest, White Wolf, that is all," Miyamoto replied plainly.

'So you're keeping me alive because I'm some sort of entertainment for you!?' Kakashi was angry at Miyamoto's answer, but he couldn't do anything in this state.

After around a few hours of travelling, the leaf village was now in sight.

Kakashi was happy, now he doesn't have to walk around with a nut case anymore.

The pair made it to the gate where 2 Jonin were set up, checking papers. One of them caught sight of Kakashi and waved.

"Ay, Kakashi, how'd the mission go?"

Kakashi revealed the wound on his chest.

"Wow, who managed to wound you?" One of the Jonin asked.

Kakashi pointed over at Miyamoto who was examining the gate.

The Jonin pulled out kunai, ready to strike at Miyamoto, but Kakashi shook his head.

"If you attack him, you will lose and be killed. Think carefully, he was able to wound me take out my squad, and face against the mist Anbu's, do you think you can take him on?"

The Jonin put their weapons away with a grumble.

"Then what do you wanna do?" One of the Jonin asked Kakashi.

"I'll take him to the Hokage, have him return the scroll and try to keep him near the Hokage, he is the only one I believe that could handle him," Kakashi responded.

One of the Jonin looked at Miyamoto and saw the scroll on his back.

"Is that the scroll that was stolen?"

"Yeah."

The Jonin looked at each other before speaking again.

"Alright, we can't personally take him, why don't you take him and then go to the infirmary?"

"Alright, contact the Hokage about his arrival."

"no need." The Jonin nodded to one of the Anbu standing on a roof.

Kakashi turned and saw them and nodded at them, which made the Anbu nod and disappear in a cloud of smoke.

Kakashi gestured over at Miyamoto to join him.

The pair walked through the village when a smell hit Miyamoto's nose.

"*sniff* What is that?" Miyamoto said, already walking over to the source of the smell.

Kakashi went to protest, but even his stomach was hungry.

Miyamoto walked through crowds of people and alleyways, arriving at a little shop. Miyamoto entered and sat at one of the seats.

Kakashi walked in and sat next to Miyamoto.

"What can I get you?" The owner asked over the counter.

A particular smell tickled Miyamoto's nose, he turned to see where it came from and he saw a yellow-haired boy chowing down a bowl of ramen, next to him was a shinobi like the ones at the gate with a scar across his nose.

"I want one of those." Miyamoto pointed at the boy's bowl.

"Make that two." Kakashi chimed in.

"Good, it'll be ready in a moment." The man said, before turning around and started making the meal.

"What kind of instructor doesn't arrive for 2 days!"

Miyamoto turned in the direction of the shouting, only to see the yellow-haired boy complaining.

"I told you Naruto, he's a Jonin and he had something to do that took more priority." The nose-scarred shinobi answered.

"But it's not fair Iruka-sensei, why couldn't it be anyone else!?" Naruto complained, crossing his arms and turning away.

Iruka popped a vein out of his forehead before lifting Naruto by his ear.

"ITS PROBABLY BECAUSE YOU ALWAYS MESS UP THAT THE HEAVENS ARE PUNISHING YOU!!!" Iruka shouted at the boy.

"THE HEAVENS CAN SCREW THEMSELVES, I'LL BE HOKAGE AND THEN THEY WILL HAVE TO PRAISE ME!!" Naruto shouted back, dangling from Iruka's grip.

"WHO WOULD LET A BRAT LIKE YOU BECOME HOKAGE?!!" Iruka said, tugging harder on his ear.

"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, STOP ALREADY!" Naruto conceded to Iruka.

Iruka put Naruto down and sat with his arms folded, clearly proud of himself for disciplining Naruto.

"Here you go." The owner handed Miyamoto and Kakashi their ramen.

'What a loud child.' Miyamoto thought to himself before he began eating his ramen.

Miyamoto and Kakashi ate their food and ordered more since they hadn't eaten in two days.

After finishing their last bowl, Kakashi paid for the 24 bowls they ordered and left the store with Mkyamoto, finally heading to the Hokage office.

In the Hokage office, the Hokage could be seen looking out the window, observing the village below.

In a cloud of smoke, an Ambi appeared and instantly kneeled before speaking.

"Lord 3rd, we have found the scroll, Kakashi is on his way here with the samurai."

"Dismissed." The Hokage said.

The Anbu nodded and disappeared into a cloud of smoke.

The Hokage walked over to his desk and sat in his seat, waiting for the famed samurai and Kakashi to appear.

Miyamoto and Kakashi arrived at the Hokage's door, but before Kakashi could knock, a voice spoke from the other side.

"Come in."

Kakashi opened the door and escorted Miyamoto in.

Behind the desk was an old man wearing an outfit fit and a hat coloured red and white.

"Kakashi, glad you had it back alive." The Hokage said with a smile.

"Lord 3rd," Kakashi said as he bowed.

The Hokage noticed Miyamoto, he had a face moulded by the life of a warrior, his gaze was one that a predator held, he was tall than most, and his muscles were also very defined, almost as if he spent his whole life on the battlefield.

"Kakashi, why don't you go to the infirmary, I would like to talk with our friend here." The Hokage said.

Kakashi stood back up and was a bit worried about leaving the Hokage with this nut case, but if anyone could contain him, the Hokage could do it with ease.

Kakashi nodded and left the room, closing the door behind him.

Although Miyamoto wasn't purposely exuding a presence, the Hokage could sense it, and it was enough for the Hokage to be on constant guard around him.

Miyamoto smiled...
