Despite being struck by Michikatsu's powerful attack, Roshi summoned every ounce of his determination and resilience. Rising to his feet, he found himself amidst a desolate landscape, a charred tree looming above him. Its bark was scorched and blackened, a testament to the intensity of his 'Lava Release Chakra Mode.'
Gazing at Michikatsu with a mix of awe and suspicion, Roshi questioned, "How can you wield both 'Explosion Release' and 'Lava Release'? I don't recall your data ever mentioning such abilities."
Michikatsu smirked, his voice dripping with arrogance. "Why would I announce my capabilities to the world? I'm not a thick-headed brute, you know."
Although Michikatsu doesn't like talking like this, he has to because his sole goal at the moment is to keep Roshi occupied so that Nawaki and the others can escape. The more he can irritate Roshi, the longer Roshi will waste time here.
Roshi narrowed his eyes. He knew that Michikatsu was right. There was no reason for him to share all of his secrets with his enemies. But that still didn't explain how he had acquired two such powerful Kekkei Genkai.
Roshi's mind raced as he pondered the enigma before him. It was inconceivable that Michikatsu had acquired these Kekkei Genkai recently. In his extensive ninja career and through the village's historical records, he knew one undeniable truth—Kekkei Genkai could not be instantaneously replicated. They had to be mastered over time, following a precise and intricate process. The notion that Michikatsu had copied these unique powers didn't even cross his mind, for it was a feat believed to be impossible.
Roshi's countenance grew somber as he fixed his gaze upon Michikatsu. He spoke in a grave tone, "It appears that you are not just a mere prodigy; you are blessed with multiple Kekkei Genkai. Not only do you possess 'Explosion Release' and 'Lava Release,' but you're also graced with 'Wood Release,' 'Blood Release,' and a remarkable regenerative capacity. If you're allowed to mature, you could indeed evolve into a living nightmare for the other prominent ninja villages. It seems I must address this matter right here and now."
Michikatsu responded with a hint of defiance, "You might be getting a bit ahead of yourself, don't you think?"
Roshi's lips curled into a cryptic smile as he retorted, "Do you believe this to be the extent of my capabilities?" With those words, a transformative process commenced within him. Suddenly, he metamorphosed into a creature of crimson hue, a five-tailed behemoth bearing an uncanny resemblance to a majestic monkey. This was Roshi's manifestation of the Jinchuriki in its second form, as the host of the Five-Tails, his visage now mirroring the likeness of the Son Goku.
A profound sense of solemnity settled over Michikatsu's countenance as he beheld Roshi's formidable Jinchuriki transformation. Facing Roshi in this formidable state presented a monumental challenge, one that gave Michikatsu pause. However, beneath the surface of his apprehension, a peculiar sense of satisfaction stirred within him. This peculiar happiness stemmed from a singular fact—he possessed the 'Divine Reflection' ability, granting him the power to emulate the very form he now faced. Still, Michikatsu had no intention of invoking this Jinchuriki transformation himself. Even though he had the capacity to replicate Kekkei Genkai, he understood the gravity of revealing his ability to duplicate tailed beasts. Such a revelation could not only incite the wrath of other major ninja villages but also draw the unwelcome attention of Konoha.
Michikatsu was acutely aware that should his extraordinary capabilities be unveiled to the ninja world, the first individual to set his sights on him would undoubtedly be Danzo. While Michikatsu possessed the confidence to confront Danzo, he harbored no illusions about the dire consequences of exposing his power to copy tailed beasts. Such a revelation could prompt Konoha to label him a rogue ninja, resulting in the village relentlessly pursuing him, a situation he had no desire to entertain.
For Michikatsu, the prospect of unveiling his unique power to transform into a tailed beast was an unequivocal risk he could not afford to take. He understood that anyone who became privy to this extraordinary ability would have to meet an untimely demise. Of course, certain individuals, those closest to him, such as friends and family, would be the exceptions to this dire rule.
Michikatsu conjured a vase into his hand and hurled it with tremendous force, propelling it into the far distance, aimed toward Kusagakure. In the blink of an eye, another vase materialized in his grasp.
Roshi, engulfed in the unrestrained might of his tailed beast form, remained devoid of speech. With a primal roar echoing from his beastly core, he lunged fiercely at Michikatsu. But just as Roshi closed in on his adversary and swiped at him with his razor-sharp claws, Michikatsu abruptly vanished from his location. In the very spot where Michikatsu had stood, a breathtakingly exquisite vase now took its place.
Roshi's ferocious claws, bereft of their intended target, crashed into the ground. Although they failed to make contact with Michikatsu, their sheer impact pulverized the vase. This, however, was no ordinary clay vessel; instead of shattering like commonplace pottery, it transmuted into an inky black ash. Frustration gnawed at Roshi's senses, and in a fit of vexation, he pounded the earth below with a series of furious blows.
