As the duo of father and son continued to play shogi

Haruku initially believed he could play better than his father, but as Yagami continues to teach him about chakra

Haruku realized that he was losing the match.

It was similar to when you believe you have everything ready for the test, but when the question paper is really in front of you, you begin to realize you do not know much.

"Everyone in the world possesses chakra from birth; however, not everyone can develop into a ninja due to differences in potential.

On the other hand Civilian shinobi have to work very hard to develop a ninja path in which they can make their future; even if they receive education and instruction from the ninja academy, it still cannot compare to a legacy that has been developing for centuries.

Though Haruku was already aware of this from prior knowledge, he was still ignorant of certain details.

"Father, there are many shinobis who can only achieve genin or chunin rank in their entire lives, and you, too, do not belong to any clan; you are even the first ninja in our family, but you have become stronger than many clan shinobis? You will also be an elite jonin soon, so what sets you apart from the others? Is it solely because of your talent?"

Haruku wants to learn more about what distinguishes a talented ninja from a regular ninja because he knows there are some guys who have no talent in chakra and cannot even perform basic ninjutsu but become one of the strongest through hard work.

"Well, talent does make a big difference—I know I do, because I am talented too, but that does not mean someone with normal talent cannot suppress you—as long as they consistently put in more effort than you can. Hard work always pays off, but sometimes even that has its limits.

As a result of years of hard work and even with my talent, I can only become an elite jonin; I cannot ever compare to someone like the God of Shinobi, the first hokage who single-handedly suppressed the entire ninja world; that is the true Peak."

Yagami also affirms once more that he is not all that exceptional; he, too, has a limit; perhaps in his entire life, he will be only an elite jonin.

"But, even then, there are ninjas from humble backgrounds who even the strongest of those clans cannot compare.

They were not born into those clans; one of them was even the dead last of his class, but they are still the pillars of our village.

The Sanins, Lord Orochimaru and Lord Jiraya, with the tutelage of Lord Third, their talent, and their extraordinary will, have reached the height that even the clan's shinobi desire."

Yagami's voice was full of respect and admiration, which made Haruku consider his future. He knows that with the help of the system, there will be no limit to his potential, and given enough time, he will be above everyone else.

Thinking this, he smirked and thought to himself.

'Hmm, I do not need to be a part of those clans, father; one day, I will show you that those clans are nothing special.'

Yagami wisely instructs Haruku.

"Yes! Father!" Haruku exclaims, thinking about the future, but then the surrounding temperature rises, and Haruku detects a great danger with his enhanced senses.

"Haru! Run!" Yagami's voice was also full of fear and panic.

"Hmm, where do you think you will hide?"

There was a cold voice full of malice just behind them.

Seeing the figure, both the father and son were sweating buckets.

"please! Spare my father; you can do anything to me."

Knowing there is no way they can escape from their inevitable doom, Haruku chose to make the sacrifice, demonstrating his will to protect his father.

Haruku was not the one to back down; even though he knew the situation was not very good, he chose to fight head-on.

"Fine, my son; let us face this together."

Finally making the decision.

They both take their positions and simultaneously fall to their knees, kowtowing to the now-silent figure.

"We surrender ourselves and we are ready to accept any punishment you give us."

Both of them speak together while continuing to kowtow.

Seeing all of this, the now silent angry figure finally erupts

"You two, how long are you going to continue this act?"

It was actually Hazuki who had just returned from the hospital; as a retired medical ninja from field duty, she usually visits the hospital in emergencies.

Hazuki was obviously not in a good mood after hearing their earlier discussion about Haru being a ninja.

"My dear, I was just teaching him that being a ninja is not easy, so he can better be prepared for the future."

Haruku nods as Yagami tries to explain himself.

"Enough!, I do not want to hear anything; today, both of you are going to prepare dinner, otherwise forget about sleeping in the house."
