I was currently running to my meet up spot with Erika, I lost track of time and now I am paying the consequences. As I was running, I suddenly heard a feminine shout,

"Somebody help! He stole my purse!", was what the victim who I assumed to be the lady wearing a blue dress yelled,

"Where are the heroes?"

"Aren't they supposed to be here by now?"

"They are probably busy dealing with more important matters to help stop a mugging especially by a low-ranked villain",

Comments like these were made among the crowd of people observing the scene, how bothersome.

I let out a sigh in annoyance about to casually slip past the scene and be on my merry way but nope, I just had to be stopped.

"Hey, girly, the pro's are not going to show up for another moment or two and I bet you mommy ain't around to help save you" a rugged man taunted, pointing a knife at my throat,

"Let's say you give me your stuff and I let you go without a scratch. Good deal, ain't it?" he gave a twisted smile pushing the tip of the knife forward, drawing some blood out. The citizens around were in disarray screaming for help and throwing out words of reassurance towards me.

"Don't worry child! A hero will be here soon!"

"Would you shut up, old man?!"

Having enough of their yapping, I quickly hit the knife out from the man and onto the pavement, bringing my right foot up and kicking him right in the jaw.

Blood pooled in his mouth, he stumbled for a brief second out of surprise and shock, he regained his stance before trying to hit me, his eyes narrowed in determination.

I dodged his fist and came up with my own; for a brief instant, eyes widened before he managed to avoid my fist, only for my right leg to slam right into his skull.

He blindly threw a sloppy kick, but I stepped back, easily evading the kick.

"Is that all you got?"I taunted, smirking infuriatingly at the mugger.

He growled before throwing himself at me, only for me to dodge again before I sent a swift punch to the back of his head knocking him out.

With him gone, I turned to glare at the man who was harrasing the lady from before. He yelped in shock before scurrying away from the scene.

"Weakling." I huffed out as I picked up the bag I dropped earlier.

"Thank you so much!", the lady suddenly shouted, bowing and soon after exclamations of praise erupted from the crowd of bystanders, comments like

"Wow, that kid sure has guts!"

"Definitely hero material, she'll make a great hero someday!",

And so on. I seriously don't get people these days.

I didn't even mean to save her, it just so happen that guy chose to attack me out of every other incompetent fool in the crowd.

"My, my, what an exciting display of heroism in a young child!~ What a turn on!" A female voice moaned out,

"Wait, did she just say this turns her on?" I asked to my slightly concerned,

"That's the 18+ Hero: Midnight!!", someone shouted from the crowd and soon the whole crowd started making a ruckus at the sight of the so-called '18+ hero',

"Now, now, as much as I love the attention, I didn't really do much and besides I just arrived, it's the little girl you should be cheering for",

A tall, curvaceous woman who wore a very racy outfit and had a small mask and handcuffs on each of her wrists appeared,

"Now time for me to give Mr. Bad Guy here a punishment~", she cooed snapping her fingers before 2 muscular men in black suits came and carried the mugger away,

"Now you", she said pointing at me, "Follow me please~", she purred sauntering away and I followed reluctantly trailing behind her.

Timeskip~~

After a bit of walking, we were far away and out of sight from the crowd from before. We were still walking until we came to a halt in front of an alleyway with the lady who people called her 'Midnight' turned to me with a serious expression and said,

"You simply are the cutest thing!!!", she suddenly squealed squishing my cheeks together,

"Swo, I'm not in twouble?", I questioned still confused with the situation as my cheeks were being assaulted,

"Of course not! Why would you be? You helped stop a thief from stealing a woman's purse, it's soo alluring~", she replied still squishing my cheeks,

"But what you did back there was very heroic", she praised finally letting go of the cheeks

"How would you feel if I were to recommend you to U.A?", she questioned smirking at me,

"Eh? U.A? You mean that super big school for people who wanna be heroes?", I questioned rubbing my cheeks,

"Mhm, the one and only!", she said with a bright smile,

"Oh, and how do you know if I want to go to a school like that? Or even if I'm qualified enough to go there?", I was suspicious at the sudden offer, she didn't even know me or what I can do.

"It's just a gut feeling and I really like you! I feel like you'll make my job more exciting~", she slightly blushed before continuing, "As for your capabilities, you'll just have to show me~", she gave me a sadistic smirk,

"Show you? How?"

"Hehe, meet me back here today at midnight and you'll see~", she purred as she started to walk away from the alleyway, "I'll see you again at midnight, Kawaii-chan~", she cooed blowing me a kiss as she walked away. I blinked in confusion before a sadistic smirk made its way onto my lips,

"This may be a blessing in disguise", I thought letting a small chuckle escape my lips,

"Chibi-chan! There you are! Why are you laughing in an alley like a creep? Nevermind that, we should start moving now before we're late", Erika came running up to me, I gave her a nod in reply.

Midnight's POV

After I walked away from Kawaii-chan, I couldn't help but let out a squeal of delight,

"She was soo adorable!! I wish I could just squeeze those chubby little cheeks of hers for days~", I sighed out dreamily,

"But, I actually saw how she handled it from the start. She didn't use her quirk, at least from what I saw but she managed to knock a grown man out cold. I'm pretty sure that's not something a child can do without at least a few years of practice", I pondered before letting out a smirk, "Well, I just have to see what she's made of", I giggled excitedly for midnight to come.
