Awkward Situation

That morning, William and Lukas had breakfast in silence. The morning sunlight streamed in through the large windows, casting a warm glow on the elegant breakfast table. 

The room was filled with the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the gentle clinking of silverware against porcelain plates. The father and son sat across from each other, their expressions a mix of thoughtfulness and anticipation. Lukas, still riding the high from his enjoyable birthday, had a bright sparkle in his eyes. They both knew that this breakfast held more than just food; it was the beginning of something new, and unspoken questions lingered in the air.

William couldn't concentrate well. He was still haunted by Ava and her words which made him incredibly uncomfortable. Why did everything about Ava remind him of Paula? Why wasn't it just their similar looks? Only their ages were vastly different.
