"Damn, that's a good skill you got. But the restriction it has will make it hard for you to utilise its full potency."

Han Wei commented, feeling a bit jealous and at the same time a bit smug at Kun Ming.

"Hm, I do agree. But it would be useful if we face an enemy that we are unable to handle."

Ming Chen nodded seriously as he analysed the Rage skill of Kun Ming.

"Stop talking nonsense! How in the world will we get an enemy like that in this world? Not to mention that we would never provoke such a person in the first place. Anyhow, I am very satisfied with my abilities."

Kun Ming's eyes twitched at his buddies' absurd thought process. In this modern world, it would be impossible for them to find someone like that.

"Alright, Alright... We are just saying. And looks like you two also got a rank in the system and got decent commission, hehe."

Ming Chen said as he proceeded to close the Bear profile.

"Stop gloating about it already, Chen, or else we will truly beat the hell out of you."

Han Wei glared at Ming Chen as he threatened him. Kun Ming also nodded from the side, agreeing with him.

"I am just... Never mind. Let's check Han's profile."

Ming Chen said, still wanting to say something but stopping himself, as he truly felt like he would be beaten blue by his buddies.

Han Wei and Kun Ming, on the other hand, also felt a bit relieved at the rank given by the system. Founding members are like pillars, and as such, their roles won't be lesser than the Owner's.

"Dang, Han, your skills are just too much."

Ming Chen remarked sincerely, acknowledging Han's overwhelming abilities.

Han Wei, however, couldn't help but sigh while glancing at his second skill.

"Well, His second skill is a whole new level of bad. At least I'd have a shot at reincarnation... haha."

Kun Ming burst into laughter upon seeing the Abyssal Grasp skill, and even though Ming Chen felt like joining in, he managed to contain himself, tears forming in his eyes.

"Overall, Chen has the most destructive power among us. Kun, your abilities are a bit weak, as your attack prowess falls a bit short. Yet, that first skill of yours adds an element of surprise, quite unpredictable."

Han Wei, ignoring their laughter, began analysing their strengths to maximise their efforts.

"Yeah, I get this vibe that I can spike anything within a 20-meter radius if I put my mind to it."

Kun Ming's laughter faded as he realised his teasing wasn't affecting Han Wei as expected. Both he and Ming Chen recognised Han Wei's current focus and this mode of Han Wei is the most productive among the three.

"My skills lean towards an assassin's role, a bit different from both of you. The second ability gives me decent strength as well."

Han Wei finished with a satisfied smile, feeling his abilities were well-suited for the assassin role he favoured.

"A powerhouse attacker, a surprise specialist, and an assassin with some serious bite."

Ming Chen summarised before clicking the exit button for the Ghost profile.

"Hey, check this out... Something new just popped up."

Ming Chen's excited shout drew Han Wei and Kun Ming closer to the screen.

A new option labelled 'Information' had appeared, just below the page title, pushing the icons slightly down.

"Let me open this one," Han Wei said hastily, not wanting to miss out on any potential benefits from the system.

Ming Chen rolled his eyes before stepping back, allowing Han Wei to take the seat and click on the mysterious option.

The page that unfolded before them revealed crucial details:

[ Evolutionary Tiers:

Description:

This system categories the strength of Evolutioners into tiers. Each tier comprises Low grade, Mid grade, and High grade. Advancing through tiers drastically enhances an individual's overall quality.

Evolutioners progress through five tiers:

Tier 1 - Beginner level Evolutioner, Tier 2 - Enhanced level Evolutioner, Tier 3 - King level Evolutioner, Tier 4 - Monarch level Evolutioner, Tier 5 - Planetary level Evolutioner.

Experience Points:

Hosts earn experience points by completing missions through the Mystic Shadows application. The mission details include specific experience points, which are automatically added by the system upon mission acceptance.

Note: Experience points are exclusively used for Evolutionary Tiers and are automatically added by the system.

Skills:

Skills are unique abilities inherent to each evolution and can only be honed through training, without any assistance from the system.

System Ranks:

1. Owner: A permanent position, already occupied, which remains fixed unless the current owner passes away. The system cannot replace them.

2. Founding Member: Two permanent positions, also filled, and unalterable unless the respective member passes away. Neither the system nor the owner can replace them.

Note: The system will introduce additional roles based on the members that hosts accept in the future.

"Now that we have a clear road-map for our progress, our main focus should be on gaining experience points through completing missions."

Kun Ming analysed after thoroughly reviewing the provided information.

"That was our primary goal from the beginning."

Han Wei retorted, reminding them that their mercenary organisation was initially established for mission completion.

"Absolutely. Even though our initial drive was for money and thrill, we just need to add one more goal to the list: gathering experience points."

Ming Chen added, emphasising the importance of not losing sight of their original objectives.

Ming Chen's observation struck a chord with both Han Wei and Kun Ming, who felt a twinge of embarrassment for momentarily losing sight of their original motivations. They exchanged silent acknowledgements of their oversight.

Noticing their realisation, Ming Chen smiled with satisfaction. He didn't want them to lose themselves in the pursuit of power and control.

Turning his attention to Han Wei, Ming Chen inquired.

"So, Han, did you gain anything from the system?"

"Enough, Chen, or I might not be able to control myself."

Han Wei shot Ming Chen a sharp look and retorted, feeling a hint of frustration at not receiving any benefits like his friend.

"Enough of this, let's see when we can bring in a new member to our group. With our roles, having more members on missions can lead to more commissions."

Kun Ming suggested, tapping Han Wei and Ming Chen on their shoulders, directing their attention to the greyed-out icon beneath their avatars.

"The system didn't provide any details about this in the information page. How are we supposed to know when we can recruit a new member?"

Ming Chen questioned, a hint of doubt in his voice, having checked the personal panel to no avail.

"Just click on the greyed-out icon, Han."

Kun Ming instructed, dismissing Ming Chen's uncertainty.

Han Wei nodded and clicked on the icon, revealing a message: [Complete Five missions to unlock this slot. Current (1/5)].

"We need to finish four more missions? Well, there's nothing else to do here. Let's go, I'm already starving."

Ming Chen declared, his stomach growling in agreement with his sentiments.

"Agreed. Let's enjoy our day. Today marks a significant change in our lives, and we should celebrate."

Han Wei added, the excitement that had faded now reigniting.

With a wry look exchanged between Ming Chen and Kun Ming, they followed Han Wei without a complaint, ready to embrace the changes in their newfound journey.
