Panic

Amanda blinked twice before she could truely comprehend what just happened, she screamed but it didn't seem to go beyoud the house, she hurriedly brought out her phone and dialed the emergency number, she also called the police and the neighborhood security, she needed help to get him up, he was too strong and heavy for her humble frame.

Luckily the gate man got to her immediately and she cursed herself for wasting time calling people who are far when she had someone close to her, she forgot that her country was not very fond of responding to emergencies immediately. Without asking questions Okon helped her and they both carried Dave to his car with Amanda holding both his legs, she grabbed his car keys while Okon immediately knew he should open the gate for her, she left immediately and she could be seen driving too fast for a pregnant woman.

On her way to the hospital, she could think or say nothing but to pray silently and would constantly look back at the man in the pool of blood behind the car. She continued to pray that nothing happens to him because if he dies, she wouldn't survive it, as matter of fact she may not see the next sunset because everybody who knows about what was going on would probably blame her or worse, accuse her of stabbing him to death.

She arrived at the hospital and before she could call out to them,  the emergency team rushed out with a stretcher to get Dave, Amanda was made to wait behind,  while they took Dave in.

She was sweating profusely, and really scared at the same time.

"Oh God please let him be okay". She prayed, joining her hands together, but her fears would not allow her look up to God, her fears, was over powering her prayer. She was not sure, if God will even answer her prayer, she wanted to just pray, because that is usually what people do, when they have issues, but she was not sure, if God would answer her.

She was no saint, God would not want to bother himself with her.

She forgot she was hungry, she was so scared, she knows nothing about injuries and doesn't know how deep the wound probably is, she just knew she saw him holding his chest and the blood was coming out from him arm or something, plus he was smelling alcohol and smoke, it would probably take God's grace to keep him alive.

Dave is never the drinking type, but because of her, he had drank hself to stupor, that he feels too depressed, and all he could think of, was killing himself.

She looked around and there was no one around her, she was all alone, she wondered if she should call his parents, but she was too scared, his mother was a monster, she could kill with her tongue, and she could only imagine what she would tell her when she finds out what happened or what had been happening.

She could only think of one person, and that was Goodluck, even though she should be suspecting him, to be the person that drugged and raped her, she still feels that he is the one, she should call.

She called Goodluck to tell him what had happened but told him not to try and call or come close to the hospital.

It would be crazy if he comes close to the hospital, all hell would be let loose, and the hurt might just kill Dave.

Dave should not be seeing Goodluck as a threat, but he still does. After her call with Goodluck, she thought if the other person she needed to call.

she called Sonia the only inlaw she has that she was sure was not going to kill her just yet.

She decided not to call anyother person knowing that with Sonia been aware of the situation, his parents might find out soon and would come rushing .

Few minutes later, Sonia was at the hospital she couldn't hold her breath anymore after Amanda told her what happened, she dialed her parents number in the hospital and the next few minute father and mother came rushing through the hospital door.

Amanda was on her knees praying for a miracle when they came in, her mother inlaw looked at her and she shook her head dejectedly.

She had never liked her, she despised her so much, she wanted her son to marry Tracy but her stubborn son decided to marry a low class like Amanda.

"You better pray, pray really hard to that God, that same one that gave you the charm you used on my son, pray to him or her, because, if anything happens to my son, I swear, you will wish you were dead.

Pray Amanda, that nothing happens to my son, else what I would do to you, you will wish for death, but you will only get torture and torture and torture. I will make you regret ever crossing my path". She made her threat, sound like they have been fighting, Amanda opened her mouth, but could not close it, she still have her hands together in prayer, she stared at the woman, praying she would not add to her pain.

That was the strongest threat ever, how could anyone be so mean, she didn't even care she was suffering too and pregnant. Yes she was pregnant but for who was the question on everybody's lips.

Few minutes later Josh, Dave's friend rushed in and that was when the trouble broke into millions. She wondered why Steven was not there too, he is probably more reasonable though, but Josh was like Dave's girlfriend, he would do anything to please Dave.

"You witch, what have you done to my friend and that evil child you are carrying.

Did she think, Dave's mother was a monster, Josh was a Demon, he liked anything that made Dave happy, in their class of friends Josh was Dave's closest and never joked with him, infact they both don't joke with each other.

Dave was very careful not to let Josh know about what was happening in his marriage, knowing who Josh is, and how he feels about the welfare of his friend,  but he somehow got the information,  and now not only did he just announce her sin in public he just triggered her mother inlaw.
