Xu Cixi blinked, wanting to say that she too could have descended with the aid of the paperman's cord, but Yu Liang had subconsciously withdrawn it.
If she had to say, it wouldn't be a problem to drop straight down from a height of three or four meters.
But what did it matter?
Without further hesitation, she jumped down towards Yu Liang.
Yu Liang caught Xu Cixi securely, without saying a word.
His hands were honest, merely steadying her by holding her shoulders.
"Let's go." He headed towards the dark grove, followed by the seemingly calm but inwardly fluttery Xu Cixi.
She didn't know exactly what she was thinking, but she knew that being by Yu Liang's side calmed her heart- a feeling she had been craving since entering this odd world.
Not until they were far from the park did the roars of the doll bears fade into an almost inaudible distance. Only then did the two of them stop, take a moment to tidy up, and retract their papermen.
