Vulnerable.

The outrageous explosion caused great harm to Chris's base that had reduced the number population in the prison.

Somehow though, Chris was lucky enough to survive the explosion but some people were quite useful to him that he lost and these were the few scientists that are working for him.

It was a sad thing to him because there seems to be good news that was brought by the scientists but he have to pause at the moment because he also had just received scary news. In short, now that all him useful workers that have been working for him for a long time now were all caught in the middle of the explosion, he later did not get to know what the good news was.

However, he was also there when it all happened and luckily he managed to save one person out of the people that were gathering at that moment and that was Skinny. The former has been hospitalised by Green who Chris wasn't so sure about the guy's skill however, at that moment he has no other choice since the other scientists were all dead.

Skinny had lost a limb and also with a lot of blood so he needed immediate treatment if Chris want the latter to survive. Chris was left with no other option than to live skinny in the hands of Green and went out to look into the matter at hand. Though he also has a few wounds on his body, however, he knows that it was not a problem that he should be worried about.

It's obvious to him that what happened right there was done by his supposed-to-be dead son and this also increased his fear in him so he felt like he need to act fast before things get out of hand.

First, he had to gather up the remaining people in the base while giving them a new task to fill up the vacant post of those that were killed by the explosion. Though a lot of people had died, the prison came is still filled with a lot of people, after all, not everyone was at the scene of the explosion at that moment.

The news of the explosion is something that could not hide from the others, not only was it loud, those that were not that close to the scene saw all that happened and spread out the news like a wide fire. Even rumours also had it that the boss was also one person who died in the explosion, however, Chris's appearance died things down.

It took him five days to put things in order, and when he was through, he was ready to retaliate back to Nate but that was when things also started to change in the base. He was as usual cooling out in his office, but this time he was alone. No Skinny to stand beside him with the long sword nor were they any beauty to sit on his thigh. However, it was at this moment, the door of his office was sent flying as a skinny body young man stepped in.

At that moment, Chris was surprised to see the person that just walked in. This is because it was skinny. He now has an artificial hand from his wrist to shoulder were now covered in ink black iron with David's star pattern on its back palm and then on his shoulder. Chris could still see the bunt scar on Skinny face. The explosion caused big damage to the former face and even at this, Chris did not even have a slight pity face for Skinny.

'At least he was still able to get you out of a critical condition,' he thought.

However, the atmosphere of the form changed when two more men with a scarf covering half of their faces walked in and unsheathed the sword hanging behind their backs and took a stance.

"A new leader has been selected"

That was all he heard from Skinny before the two men jumped onto him. At first, Chris thought he was dealing with normal humans till he took a few blows from them, it was at that moment he know what he was dealing with.

"When? When did you become a superhuman?" This was the question Chris was asking himself and also Skinny. Skinny had just proven to be something Chris never expected.

In normal circumstances, Chris would have won a fight like this but he was dealing with superhumans this time and not only just one but two.

The fight all ended with him losing consciousness and passing out during the fight. The reason for this was that he have taken a lot of blows from his opponents and every one of them has a decent amount of force with each blow, so Chris did not take it anymore and passed out.

However, he walked up surprisingly still inside his office but this time, he was strapped on a metal chair with a chain. However, that was not the only thing he noticed, standing in front of him were Mia, Red, Purple and Green.

Seeing those four, Chris attempted to tug on the chain, at that moment also a strange was stabbed in his neck by Green. Inside the strange is a purple colour solution and it was all injected into Chris's body. Meanwhile, Chris could slowly feel his body weakening and he felt like he might pass out at any moment, but Red was there to use a long stick taser to snap him out.

"You? I gave you shatter and food and yet you did this to me, is it because of Nate? I thought you said he was now your enemy?" Chris feeling powerless at this moment could only play humble.

However, the four matrices weren't buying it at all. Chris was looking at Mia directly when asking, so Mia was the one that got to explain his conditions to him.

"First of all, I will say our goals all link in a way, but the only problem we have with you is the way you run things"

"You already know that we're are superhumans and yet you still placed us on a level beneath those weaklings, however, that is not the case here"

"Haaa. Why would it even be the case when we are now the ones that run the base and no longer you" Mia said while laughing at Chris.

"What did you do to them?"

"I mean, Skinny, he just betrayed me and that is something impossible, how did you do, " Chris asked, he still could remember Skinny, though the latter was not in the room at that moment.

"They are now possessed by us, we have the power to cause any material and if anyone was to lay his or her hands on those caused materials, they will become our puppet and you see, Skinny is now under us and so is most of the high-rank officials in this base" Mia explained.

Upon hearing this, Chris could not help but be disappointed in himself.

"Then why are you keeping me? Why don't make one of them then?!" Chris yelled.

Meanwhile, Mia's thoughts drifted back to the moment he, Red and Purple were killed. He was thinking about what the skull just told them.
