Inner peace.

The island was big, at least big enough that an intensive fight with a demon-level beast was going on on one of the island sides, while the other side remain quiet and peaceful.

On this peaceful side of the island, two people could be seen walking down towards what seemed to be a river under a waterfall that resounded around the area.

These two were Leo and Lynn.

It was an odd feeling to Lynn as she kept quiet. She have never spoken to Leo before and was surprised when he asked her out.

Nonetheless, she knew he was not going to harm her, and because of this, she just followed him out into the jungle islands filled with lives of wildlife and trees.

Eventually, Leo have stopped just beside the river before sitting down on the water bank.

Lynn seeing this was puzzled, she was hesitating to ask but eventually did.

"So...why did you bring me out here?" she asked politely.

"You shouldn't be so surprised that I called you out after all I informed you about this meeting," Leo said not moving from his place with his eyes closed.

For a moment, Lynn remained silent.

Meanwhile, the river current moved forward out towards the bank and touched Leo's feet. It was only then did he opened his eyes and sighed.

He then turned still sitting down but was looking at Lynn.

"I called out to talk about you," he said.

"Me...?!" Lynn said surprised.

"Yes, you... You are getting addicted," Leo said.

Lynn had a look of confusion on his face but didn't say anything for a moment.

"How...did you know?" she asked.

Leo sighed again before looking away to the side.

"I have lived on earth for many years and even travelled beyond... Just like I said before... Earth has always had many eras in it. An era of apocalypse, an era of machines and technology, an era of magic and dragon, and many more,"

"But you see among these eras, they are also an era of witches...," Leo explained.

"During the era of witches, this is an era where only the female genders can wield mana, while the male genders can only wield qi,"

"Regardless, just like today, many people have different power such as lightning, fire, water and wind. The same could be said for them. Witches also have the types of magic they could wield. Back then they were classified as, Light magic, Earth magic and then dark magic,"

"Under light magic, we have those that can control the sun, lightning, and fire. While under earth magic we have those that can manipulate earth, wind, veins, telekinesis and many more,"

"The last is the dark magic, which can control shadows, and blood, and also inflict pain just like you," Leo explained.

"So I am under a dark magic?" Lynn asked.

"Yes..." Leo replied.

"Is there a problem with that?" Lynn asked again.

"Of course, there is a problem with that... Dark witches are known for being evil and heartless, just like your,"

"But your case is different.." Leo said when noticing the look on Lynn's face.

"How?" she asked.

"You are a pain witch, which is under the banner of dark witches, but their case is different because they are the only witch that can change their path," Leo said.

"Really?" Lynn asked inclined to know more.

"Yes... But it won't be easy... You see, when you became a pain witch, there is an energy that you have unlocked within you. It is inside you and is powerful," Leo said.

"It is known as inner peace,"

"A powerful but hard-to-learn energy... It was so hard to learn that few that have tried to learn it all failed. But to you, it is naturally in your body," Leo explained.

By this time, Lynn has taken a sit also on the floor.

"What will happen if I do not learn the energy?" Lynn asked.

"You will be falling deep into the path of darkness and it will reach an extent where you won't be able to distinguish between a foe and a friend and if that happens, I will be forced to kill you because when your type reaches that stage, they became more dangerous than ever," Leo said.

"Imagine you going around from house to house inflicting pain on people just to satisfy your lust for pain,"

Lynn couldn't think of such a thing.

"But why will I do that?" Lynn asked.

"Because it is what your body wants, it wants to feel pain not only on yourself but also on the people surrounding you,"

"But if you learn how to control your inner peace, it will turn you from troublemaker to peacemaker, and, rather than seeking a peaceful place to wreak havoc, you will be looking for a chaotic place to make peace. Not only that, if you learn inner peace, it will increase how much support you can offer to your friends in a battle and they are many more you can do with inner peace such as taming wild beasts of any level. This of course depends on how much peace you have and also making all attacks at you become soft and light," Leo said.

"That will be too good to be true," Lynn exclaimed.

"That's why it's every hear to learn...but you are lucky to have it in you naturally, all you have to do is learn how to control it at will instead of letting your body do the job," Leo explained.

"How do I learn it?" she eventually asked. Lynn herself knows how she reacts if she was to stay long without absorbing pain. The place always feels so much irritating to her. Sometimes, she will feel like going out on her own to inflict pain on anyone nearby only to absorb it and inflict it again.

"That is the reason I brought you close to the water because water is one thing that helps us in sensing our inner peace," Leo said.

"Just sit down beside the bank and close your eyes," he instructed.

Lynn did just as he said and closed her eyes. "What should I feel?" she asked.

"Nothing... You will feel nothing, inner peace has no distinctive feeling, you will only know that you are on the right path when you enter the state," he said.

Hearing this, Lynn just closed her eyes and allowed her silver hair to run down her shoulders. Meanwhile, unknown to her, as the wave of waters came towards her, they suddenly parted ways making sure not to suck her with water.

Of course, this didn't go unnoticed by Leo as he was amazed.

'So quick... What was I expecting from a pain witch anyways,' he thought. The truth is that they were more inner peace could do. It could make someone live longer than he or she should, it can negate any energy form that is except from one.

Another is that it could also be used in powering weapons, strengthening someone, or even unleashing someone's darkest character. There were just too many things that Inner peace could be used for but Leo choose to go slow on Lynn. All she needs to know was the basics.

Just then, he could hear something approaching from behind. Looking back, he could see beasts of different calibre standing while their gaze where on Lynn.

It wasn't the usual gaze of a predator looking at its prey, instead, it looked more like that of caring and admiration.

Immediately, Leo also closed his own eyes and concentrated. It was then he could sense it a grey-like fog was leaving Lynn's body and was nearly covering the entire island.

'This amount of inner peace on her first attempt is crazy,' he thought as he looked around his surroundings.

With the amount of inner peace Lynn has, if she learned how to control it, then it will be a great thing. Thinking about this, Leo was already planning on how he was going to use this power to help the earth's conditions of beast rampant.

If Lynn can mass control the beast with her inner peace, then with her, they might as well open a portal where they will send all the zombies in.
