Chapter 2 Apologizing

Seeing that the girl on the bed didn't move, Catherine breathed a sigh of relief. She was a little scared but more relieved.

Catherine would never have a competitor in the future, and she would never be taken away from love and identity by others. She would still be the only daughter of Lauren's family!

Catherine calmed down and picked up the oxygen mask. When she was about to put it back in its original place, Catherine suddenly saw that Carola, who should have been dead, opened her eyes!

Then Isabel turned around and saw Carola sitting on the bed leisurely as if nothing had happened.

"Catherine, my sweetheart, who did this to you?" Isabel got angry in an instant. "Carola, what's going on?"

Catherine saw that it was Isabel who pushed the door open. It seemed that her foster mother was on her side. Half of her panic dissipated, but she had an instant plan after rolling her eyes.

Before Carola could say anything, Catherine hugged Isabel's arm and cried, "Mom, don't be angry. Carola was just afraid that I would expose the fact that she pushed me into the water, so she threatened me out of desperation."

"Stop! How dare you disobey my discipline after you have done something wrong? Carola, if you dare to get out of this door today, you will never be able to step into Lauren's family again!"
