It wasn't real

Cedrick's Point of View

I WAS stunned when I saw her in front of me. I shuddered as I looked at her. I do not believe she is alive.

My wife is dead. I even saw her buried before. She looks exactly like her. But, how can she be here in front of me? How was she alive, if she is already dead?

"How..." I did not know what to say. I could not find where I was going to get my voice, yet I was shocked.

I was caught-off-guard! Damn! Is destiny playing games with me?!

"How I'm alive, and I'm here in front of you, sweetie?" she said with a smile while she was still sitting and looking at me.

Those words and voices! How could it be like my wife ?! Is she Ena? My dear wife? Or is she just an impostor?

I just nodded as she continued with my question.

"Well, it's a long story, sweetie," she said as if tired while she was still pouting. Then I frowned, while still staring at her.

I shook my head to wake up from the truth.

"Are you fooling me, Miss? Do you want money? How much do you need, to stop pretending! Ha!? What do you need?" I angrily asked her as I clasped my hands.

How is she able to imitate my dead wife? Wouldn't she respect my wife, who is in the afterlife?

"Sweetie. Why do you talk to your wife like that? Well, don't answer for it. It looks like I already know the answer. Also, I don't need your money. If it's just money... I have a lot of it. "

I was annoyed when I heard what she said. I approached her and then grabbed her arm with emphasis. "Never imitate my wife Ena, do you understand? Because you are not Ena. Whatever the reason for your pretense, stop it already because you will not succeed. You understand?! You will not succeed!"

I was about to punch her when I stopped myself as I stared into her eyes. Her dark eyes filled with anger and grief greeted me. Suddenly my heart softened.

Those kindness in her eyes... How?

"You don't believe me, really, sweetie? Well, it's been four years, so who else would believe that I'm still alive, even though you know I'm dead, right?" she said as she looked straight into my eyes. She met my eyes staring at her.

Damn! Those eyes! It's like my wife's eyes! How did all this happen ?!

"If you are the real one, Ena. Who is Ena who died and we buried? Who ?!" I shuddered at her. Instead of hurting her as I held her arm tightly, she smiled and stared at me.

"It's just a mannequin ..." she answered calmly. That was the reason so that I could release my grip on her arm.

"Mannequin? How ..." Suddenly, my tears rolled down on my cheeks, then I looked at her. "Why, for what reason?..."

Suddenly, my voice weakened because of the pain I was feeling.

She stood up from her seat then formally walked in front of me. "I don't know who did it, sweetie..."

"W-what? You don't know?" I faintly asked as I watched her walk back and forth in front of me.

"No. All I know is, someone helped me the day I had the accident. I was taken to a private hospital in Italy because I could not afford to be treated here in the Philippines. It is said that the impact of the truck was powerful when it

crashed in my cad, so I was critical that day... "

My eyes widened when I heard what she said. "How did you know all that?" I asked, confusedly, which is why she turned to me.

"Because I am your wife. Because I am the real Ena. If you do not want to believe, give me more DNA so that you can calm down by doubting me," she made a solemn promise while still looking at me.

I sighed, and then I stared at her carefully. "How do you prove that you are the real Ena?" I asked a challenging question, while my arm crossed.

I stood in front. She went back to the swivel chair then smiled broadly. "Well, I'll tell you a whole story. From beginning to the end..."

I looked at my wristwatch; she has two hours to explain and tell a story. "Okay, spill it in two hours. Your time starts now."

I heard her sigh then began to speak. "Once upon a time ... I was in love with Angelo Dela Vega, your best friend. Your best friend is Deigo Salvador. I have a best friend also, named Medel. And I have a mortal enemy, Kersten Lopez but not now. She's become my friend. They're David. Am I right? "

I was shocked when she knew those things, but I was still not convinced by what she said. So I listened to the rest of her story.

She narrated everything since Angelo's death and when he asked me for help about her revenge that day. Until we became, and on our wedding day, she also mentioned our twin son.

I was shaken when I found out that everything she was telling me was true. Is she my wife? Is my wife Ena alive?

"So? Do you believe it, sweetie?" she asked with a smile as she looked at me seriously.

I look up and then line up my lips. "I still do not believe," I said then; I also looked at her carefully.

I saw her shake and then smiled. "Okay, then. If you still don't want to believe, let's have more DNA. Take a sample from our twin child."

I stood up and adjusted my tie then; I looked at her intently. "Okay, I will see you tomorrow. Here at my office, exactly ten o'clock in the morning. Is that okay with you?"

She smiled and stood up, and stared at me. Suddenly my knees softened at the kind of way she stared at me.

"Okay, we will see you tomorrow then..." she stepped over and took her bag. She slung it over her shoulder and then left the conference room.

I looked at the door she came out of. I sat down and held on to my head. "Are you Ena?"

I just found myself breathing deeply and shaking. I will know tomorrow the whole truth if she is Ena.

Until now, I still can't believe it. That my wife is alive, is she my wife?

Dead, alive? How pathetic ...
