20. I'm a vampire

OMG. The challenge was supposed to go until the end of February but you guys in just 1 day have made the book reach 10 reviews. You guys are such a great community.

My plan was supposed to release the 4 chaps/week from next month but I will to the max to start it this week.

The room was simply filled with shelves of books, nothing else but books. Abraham knew they were ability and skill books. These were going to help him reach level 10.

As soon as Abraham picked up one of the books closest to him, the system popped a message.

[ Earth ability book level 1 ]

[ Unable to learn would you like to convert into 10 exp? ]

Due to Abraham's body being different, he could not learn sn ability that human was able to. In exchange, his system decided to reward him exp.

When Abraham confirmed the message, the book started to vanish in his very hands as if it was disintegrating. Another message appeared.

[ 10 exp gained ]

After absorbing the first book Abraham started to pick up book after book. He noticed when going through the books that a level one skill book would give him 5 exp points while a level 1 ability book would give him 10 exp points.

But just like blood, the system would only reward him for a unique book.

If he had already absorbed that book again the system wouldn't even pop up with another message. It was a shame since most of the books inside the container were earth books that the military had the most control over.

Abraham moved to another shelf and found that the level of the books would increase. A level 2 ability book would gain him 100 exp points, while a level 2 skill book would gain him 50. This would be the case even if he had already absorbed the level 1 version of the ability book.

Looking at all the remaining books, Abraham knew he had hit a jackpot.

As he went onto the next set of shelves, with it came a new set of books. He placed his hand on the first one and it was the first Level three ability book he had come across.

Abraham then picked up the skill book right next to him and as he thought, the skill book offered him 500 exp points. So far it seemed like a skill book would offer half the amount of points that an ability book had to offer.

After going through all the books, Abraham looked at his exp.

He had a little left to level up. Then from his traveler's bag, he took out four books. The one he asked Tom Green to buy for him. There were two level 4 ability books, one level 4 skill book, and another level 3 ability book.

After absorbing the level 3 book, he heard a message.

Without any further delay, he took the level 4 ability book.

Abraham absorbed both level 4 ability books and then use the last book. The level 4 skill book gave him 5000 exp.

Abraham's heart started pounding harder and faster. His red veins were pulsing so much that it was visible from outside. His blood accelerated inside his body moving all around. He felt everything inside his body. At the same time, his eyes were glowing red. He felt the need for blood and straight away he used his blood bank. The blood kept flowing inside and Abraham was circulating his Qi energy to the maximum to neglect the intense pain. Since his coming to this world, for the first time he was in so much pain.

After a few minutes which felt like an eternity to Abraham the pain stopped and he heard a message.

[Congratulations evolution was Successful, you are now a Vampire!]

[Level 10] [240/100]

The evolution this time was different. His hp has increased by ten percent. Due to drinking bloods during the evolution process, Abraham consumed all the remaining ten unique types of blood. They got added to his free attribute. On top of these modifications, two new options were added to the stats. Charm and blood family. On top of that, his exp has been reset. It was going to take so much time if the exp kept on doubling with a level-up. From level 11 and upward, he was also receiving 2 stat points for each level up.

There were even more messages to come from the system.

Abraham got two new skills. He didn't receive any information about the first skill but Abraham knew each detail from his past life.

The system didn't stop and more messages were displayed.

Just then, a screen appeared in front of Abraham, and once again it was the handsome blonde man he had seen the last time, Vicent Eno who had taught him the hammer strike and the flash step.

Abraham looked at the only remaining shelf at the back of the room. On it was a single book. This was the reason Abraham came to this planet. While the rewards of exp from the other skill books were the starter, this book was going to be the main course.

"Congrats!" The man said. "You have now officially joined the family. I thought maybe a simple human wouldn't be able to make it this far but it looks like my little experiment was a success. Now that the system has been upgraded to level 2, I had a good friend of mine install an AI system with my voice. It's amazing right! Now you'll never feel alone again and if you ever have a question about the system just ask."

"Now you're probably thinking why didn't I design it this way from the very beginning, the truth is you needed to be able to get this far on your own. From your own mistakes along the way, they can only make you stronger."

"Now before I leave you, although the AI system will help you answer any questions you have about the system, it is not able to go beyond that, so here are my final recorded words. I'm sorry but now that you are a vampire, others will come looking for you. They have already blended into society so it's almost impossible to tell who is one and who isn't. If you want to live a life of freedom as I did, then get stronger, create a force of your own, and fight back. Good luck my friend."

The video finally ended and this time the system screen disappeared signaling the end of messages.

The evolution didn't only change his stats but his appearance was now different. Abraham looked at the metal door and saw his reflection.

Abraham was short compared to an adult, but for a ten-year-old body, his height was above average. His hair was of a dark color with faint red at the end. His body was toned due to his continuous exercise.

But the reflection on the door was different. He looked taller and his appearance has matured. He looked like an 18-year-old teen. His hair was now a dark red color. His skin looked super smooth and it became slightly pale.

"Finally, I'm no more in a child body. It feels so good. Now it's time to move for the reason I came to this planet". He looked at the corner of the room where a single book was present on the shelf.
